This is perfect! – This hair straightener is awesome! I love the wide plates on them. I love how it makes my hair dead straight. It comes out smooth & long. Doesn't leave any bumps in my hair. I always recommend to use a heat protected spray so touching don't damage your hair as it's really hot.

Great for thick hair – I've used several brands of hair straighteners and I must say before I learned how to straighten my hair properly all straighteners seemed the same to me. But since then I have noticed the difference and there's a reason why salons use GHDs over other brands. This GHD is my preferred preference as it straightenes my hair faster and leaves me with a better result. FYI I have chin length hair.

Great hair but wont last – I was warned before buying the GHD to buy a cloud nine however everyone suggested the GHD was the best on the market. Guess what it lasted just over 2 years (just outside warranty) before it started to stop working. Will spend my hard earned money on something else next time... new ones are nowhere near as good as the older ones! The way it did your hair only lasted 26 months

If you take the time to section your hair as you go, you will only need to straighten each section once and your hair will stay straight right through until your next wash. The ghd leaves my hair feeling shiny and soft and although I use it regularly my hair maintains great condition.

This product, although a reasonable outlay, will save you money and time 100 times over a cheaper version! I bought mine on ebay for almost $100 less than I could buy it through a salon, complete with authentication details.

Buy it, you won't regret the outlay for a minute. Quick heating time. Only need to straighten a section of hair once. Particularly suited to thick or coarse hair. It is too broad to create loose curls. Straightening only.

super fast straightening but you can't do small areas easily (like a fringe) or get creative with curls etc like you can with other GHD straighteners.

Of course, it is one of the most expensive on the market (but still worth it)

which was silver bullet attitude didnt keep my hair long for as long as it should and ate strands of my hair everytime i used it. i ended up buying a ghd wide plate off ebay (authentic, but used one) and i can't believe it took me this long to buy one. i just thought 'its a hype and too expensive for me' but if i bought this first i would have saved a lot more money! no turning back for me now. Quite disappointed! real deal and I simply was just disappointed with it's overall performance. It has a wider plate for bigger curls. It gets stuck in my hair and doesn't slide smoothly compared to my Remingtons and my Jilbere! : ( Causes frizz!
