really don’t think I want another one. The second one was no where near the quality of straightening, ease of use or overall value. For the extraordinary price GHD straighteners are I believe they should last longer.

terrible customer service and a total scam! I will never buy from you anymore. Potential customers pay attention to this one, you might not be able to return your product even they have the return policy stated on their website.

available so she figured she'd use mine while still living at home. It turns out that her straightener has had misaligned plates since the very first day, making it practically unusable. I didn’t realise until recently because she kept borrowing mine.

Today, I finally contacted GHD support to get some help or at least some direction on how to have the plates properly aligned, since the product has never worked as it should. The service I received was honestly appalling. The representative couldn’t have been less helpful if she tried. Every question was met with, “Sorry, we don’t offer that,” “Sorry, we don’t have a service centre,” or “Sorry, you’ll have to find someone yourself,” despite the fact that multiple appliance repairers have already said they can’t service GHD devices.

I wasn’t asking for a refund or a replacement — just basic guidance or an option for repair. Instead, I was left with no answers, no solutions, and no accountability for a product that was faulty from day one.

For a premium brand, this level of customer care is unacceptable. I’ve always recommended GHD to friends and family, but after today, I can't see a reason to continue supporting a product whose company can't be bothered helping it's customers with their faulty workmanship.

Note that in the image with my hand, I am gripping it firmly and you can see the plates are not aligned.

is ignored. Emails are replied to via an auto reply that says “we are dealing with your query”. Messenger and whats app also just an auto generated reply. The company phone number takes you to a voicemail that says “thanks for calling but there is no one to take your call”. I’ve just contacted the ACCC because sadly I’m out of options.

Worst product and bad customer service – Never ever buy anything called GHD from them. All their items are expensive only. But the qualities are exactly same as REMINGTON! courtesy for one simple reply or update , try calling your number which can’t never be reach and always request a call back but when you call back it’s just a voice mail saying sorry that voicemail is full and cannot take any more message . Seems like the worst after services I have ever experience . I am about to contact consumer affair . So disappointed would have expect a lot more from a company with such reputable , but sadly it’s all gone down .

For me, there are two possible reasons: I couldn't understand how this happened, maybe I was too rough with my hairdryer and it hit my curler when I put it back. I reached out to the customer service, they said this is not covered by warranty and said I broke it. One girl on the phone also said she will let her supervisor call me back. First if you won't do it, don't promise it, this SUPERVISOR NEVER CALLED MY BACK. If you look at the picture, you'll realize how terrible your quality is! How could I ever break a curler? This never happened in my whole life. And what more disgusting is whatever you tell them, they have this bias on you: customers break things, and they are liars and greedy.

My GHD just broke after 17 years – I've just let go of my GHD straightener after 17 years. Yes it lasted that long! And it was just the ceramic plate that came away. Wish other products lasted this long. Had to post a review as I think this is pretty incredible. Show details

Faulty and difficult returns process – Paid $200. Item became faulty (randomly powering off) after 2 weeks. Returned to shop, who said oh no.. The shop refused to replace it or refund my money. Told me I need to return it to GHD., by post, after registering it online, then downloading and printing a repair form, then packing it up and posting it back to GHD,,,, which turned into an overly complicated process. In the end I threw this garbage in the rubbish bin. Show details

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE – We had a fault with daughters straightener and was under warranty. We were told to return the item to get a replacement. The straightener was received in early august by GHD but we are now having no response to emails and cannot get hold of anyone by phone either. We are now $400 down with no straightener at all. Bad Customer Care – 2 faulty GHD straighteners in the past 3 years is totally unacceptable. In fact the last GHD I purchased in August 2022 has failed already. I believe this may be a refurbished product as it stopped working in less than 8 months! Unfortunately, the ''new'' one is also defective from day one. I'm now in the process of trying to get them to pay for shipping the ''new'' one back and hoping to receive a styler that actually works. That is extremely disappointing. Even though the styler works well (when it works), I would not recommend it to anyone.

Remington for half the price and works awesome. I believe in looking after your customers for repetition on sales but not ghd take your money for expensive hair products that break down after the warranty I think is very suspicious.

Great straightener! – This is my second GHD (other was working wonderfully until I left it at the gym and it got stolen!) and I love it. The red plates are super cute and it works perfectly. It occurred to me today I have had my ghd for roughly over 15 years and honestly it still works like the first day. I use it almost everyday and have thick curly hair and I have never had any issues with it. If this doesn't warrant writing a positive review then I dont know what would. I love my ghd. Definetley value for money.

I love GHD – Today my GHD has died on me. I give it a 5 star because I’ve had it for approximately 25 years now.. & used it after every hair wash. It’s travelled everywhere with me & I’ve never had an issue with it. It’s clearly an extremely solid product & I can’t recommend it enough. In saying that, I really hope GHD have maintained the ‘old school’ quality & haven’t opted for cheaper production. No complaints from the one I purchased over 2 decades ago. Show details

Ghd have gone downhill – I had a limited edition ghd for about 7 years and recently replaced it with a new one. I had to get it replaced under warranty because it wasn’t getting hot enough. They sent me another one, the customer service is great but this one is crap too. How can they have changed so much since my limited edition one. I wouldn’t recommend at all, you’d be better off buying a cheap Vidal sassoon one, they work about the same. Show details

12 years on and it’s still going strong! – I received this hair straightener in 2008 for my birthday and it’s still going strong 12 years on! It’s amazing. Admittedly it’s a bit slower than it used to be..But that is to be expected. Talk about getting your money’s worth! Probably time to upgrade it, but it’s held on so long it’s hard to part with it!

It's an original – Heats up in minimal time, gets very hot, too hot unfortunately. I wasn't accustomed to the GHD technology, and unfortunately fried the ends of my hair when initially using it. I've changed the way I use it but recommend anyone buying one of these second hand (which is what I did), reconsider. They are too hot and will damage your hair if you don't know what you're doing. I have it on professional advice the new technology is very good. Show details

OK - on my thick afro – Often have to use this product two times over to reach my desired texture. Not too fast - have to pass through hair slowly. Sometimes can overheat and let off steam
