Good product, while it lasts. Terrible customer service – My straightener lasted under 2 years before it began to beep uncontrollably and cool down. The day it broke it also began to spark under the plate. When I reached out to customer service they provided confusing and conflicting information over a series of emails. that I thought would be innovative and inconspicuous, in reality is incredibly loud and irritating, especially given that it's right in your ear. Worst of all, even on the higher heat settings, with product, this held no styling longevity. Within an hour after use, my hair was frizzy and the styling had completely dropped out (which is completely abnormal for my hair, I can usually go days on the same curls or straightening). The most positive thing I have to say about this product is that I liked the grips on the handle of the iron.

If after reading this you are still set on purchasing a Glam Palm, I highly recommend purchasing it from a verified stockist that accepts returns. This way you are at least able to exchange it for a refund.

because it was (to me) an unheard of brand and I had a lot of mixed reviews on the GHD's from 2015 on. Similarly with Cloud Nine because they are the makers of GHD. My old GHD lasted 8 years but I wanted to see what new technology there was on the market; surely there had to be in 8 years and boy, was there!

The 10 temperature settings exceed any other straightener on the market, with most offering only 7. With 10 heat settings, you have the ability to protect your hair. I have long, very thick, naturally (brown) wavy (borderline curly) hair that has blonde foils. The GP straightens my hair with ONLY ONE STROKE! It takes me roughly 7mins to straighten all of my hair. It takes me longer to curl as I'm not good at it but the GP makes it easy!

It heats up in seconds; you adjust the temp depending on your hair and what you're doing with it. The GlamPalm website has a helpful (damage-free) graph which shows you what setting to use based on how thick your hair is.

In addition to the 10 heat settings, it also has a Clinic Mode; other brands only have 7 with no clinic mode. This was a factor for me and part of the reason I bought it. With this mode, you can have a treatment or leave-in conditioner in and STILL straighten your hair! I didn't believe this until I opened the box and there was a little rubber cover that goes over the plates of your GP and allows you to use it so the plates don't get covered / damaged in product. I couldn't find any other straightener on the market that allows you to do this. GHD and Cloud Nine don't have this ability.

The Nano-Vibrating technology was also another reason I bought it. This means that the heat is radiated evenly INSIDE the hair due to the vibration. So it doesn't dry out your hair and you don't need to pile on the protective heat sprays / creams afterwards which just undo all the work you've just done with your straightener. There are many scholarly (academic) articles on nano-vibrating technology so that sealed the deal for me.

Op top of that (as if you're not sold already!), this also has MICOM. It is basically a computer that controls the heat. So it will automatically adjust the heat according to its heat sensors so you don't need an extra accessory / product / cream that will protect your hair; its built in!

After all my research, I couldn't find another brand which had ALL of these things. Some brands had the MICOM but didn't have the clinic mode. I wanted all of it. You do if you're gonna pay the price tag.

It also comes with heaps! You get this awesome (full-sized) heat proof clutch purse that doubles as its own bag (you could actually use it for a night out), 2 black sectioning clips which have their own place in the Clutch bag; so they wont get broken or LOST, the little silicone cover for when you have a treatment in your hair, a clear plastic heat proof cover that you store the GP tong end in; this means you can store it closed and NOT have to wrap your cord around the end of the tongs (like I used to do). The cord also has its own rubber strap so when you store it, use that to hold the cord together. My old GHD didn't have that. I honestly do not have anything negative to say about this. I live in central VIC and it got to me in 3 days.

So when I opened the box, I was VERY impressed. The price you pay, it comes with everything. I got this on a Black Friday deal so it was perfect. Honestly, it leaves my hair shiny after I use it. I didn't think that was actually possible but it is. I got the Diamond White and it is so sparkly! Couldn't be happier!

button it was BURNING hot. No standing there waiting for it to heat up, it literally is burning hot straight away. It’s especially awesome if you turn it off and unplug and then realise there was one tiny bit of your hair that you need to fix, you can do it really quickly because of how fast it heats.

I got the white one which has a pearl glitter shimmer to it and it’s stunning. It also has a vibration mode which my hairdresser recommended turning on because it helps heating the hair evenly and not damaging it.

I highly recommend this product if you were thinking of purchasing and not sure because of the price, do it, you won’t regret it.

Glides so well – I normally don't tend to leave reviews but I had to as this brand I recently discovered through my hairdresser is fantastic. multiple temperatures to choose from and a long cord! how good! glampalm has 11 temperatures and can vibrate at all temperatures where apparently the cloud 9 only can vibrate on 150 degrees. also the glampalm has a clinic function to repair hair where the cloud 9 has not. i bought the white glampalm and am in love <3 <3 <3 up to buying a glampalm blowdryer yay!

Fantastic Straightener – Heats up almost instantly to chosen temperature. Temperature control is a must. Ideal for curling hair, easily pulls through hair with snagging hair or getting stuck. going over the same section ,and has a weird scent when the plates heat up ( I can't explain but if you've used the cheapy ones, you'd know ) and the results don't last. I didn't see any reduced damage either but my hair is less dry compared to GHD but at least that gave me great results . maybe this straightener is good for someone who doesn't have a hint of frizz in their hair. vibration function basically does nothing appart from another annoying sound near my ear, I could not say that their technology enables styling at lower temp - there is no difference, my hair is not shiny at all at end, the straightener came with a scratch and the cluch was deformed. The hair dryer is huge, heavy, very noisy and absolutely inconvenient for home usage. On the top of all of this they don't have proper return/exchange politics. So I paid for something that I haven't even seen in real and never used before and I have no options to return or exchange it?! Not fair! I wouldnt buy again from this brand.

I emailed Glam Palm and they told me to send back the hair straightener. I sent it back and they sent me another new hair straightener. The straightener that they sent me had the same fault as the one that I had just sent back; It constantly overheated and turned off by itself - sometimes after being on for only one minute.

I contacted the company again (this time through PayPal) and asked for a refund. Glam Palm insisted that there was nothing wrong with the straightener and tried to explain the fault away by claiming that what I was describing was just the hibernation mode (the straightener auto shuts-off after 30 minutes of inactivity if accidentally left on).

As Glam Palm would not provide a refund, I eventually received a refund through PayPal Buyer Protection. From the date I first contacted Glam Palm about the fault, it took seven weeks to get my money back.

5 years and still going strong – After owning several GHD models that failed miserably, I was gifted a GlamPalm by my boyfriend. a very straight finish that didnt crinkle up when I slept and I only needed to straighten my hair once a week instead of every morning. Then in May 2020, they sparked during use and just burnt out. Stopped working altogether. I returned them to manufacturer and they replaced the motor. The irons have never been the same since. They don't reach the same heat level as before despite being on the highest setting and they lose heat during use. My hair is frizzy and dry after using them and they have turned out to be the biggest waste of $245.

Having had other hair dryers, I took this to mean medium and high temperature settings but they class the 'cool air' button as the second temperature setting, the first being the hottest.

I hate the fact I have to blast my hair with very hot air, I bought this dryer because it's meant to be good for the health of your hair, I feel the temperature being too hot defeats the purpose of this.

I wish this hair dryer had a low medium and high heat setting, even a medium heat setting, if that doesn't bother you you'll love this hair-dryer.

- No diffuser attachment available with this model

-Comes in ugly flimsy cardboard box, where the cheaper model (the aero) comes in a beautiful black case box where you can store the dryer in, you'd think if you were paying twice the price you'd get a nice case too.

The company has very good customer service and great products, I just think this dryer needs some tweeking, especially considering the high price point.

their response time is so slowwwww. The informed me they don’t see the actual products, so the seller has to deal with it. Said seller tried to Blame my hair, how I was separating it etc. I informed them I’ve used a hair straightener for 15 years - I know how to straighten my hair. Well then the seller refused to communicate via mydeal anymore so they essentially wiped their hands clean - so I had to contact the seller directly - again after a long wait time and going back and forward now they’ve said they have to refer it to glampalm directly and they would be I contact with me - still no contact weeks later. 2 months and still no straightener, no beautiful straight hair for Christmas events and photos. It has been an absolute nightmare! It’s been me chasing it up constantly and it’s now waiting on the THIRD lot of people to do something as everyone keeps passing the buck. Amazing! I cannot live without it – This glampalm heats up in within seconds and it also has a vibrating function to create even distribution of heat through your hair to avoid damage so it leaves your hair feeling so soft and adds shine.
