Best straightener ever!
Original (GP201)This review is so overdue. I have had my GlamPalm straightener for over 10 years now and it has never let me down. Prior to discovering this amazing product I was using the GHD straighteners all of which were a disappointment and needed replacing every few years. I can honestly say that purchasing this straightener was the best decision. It heats up quickly, has adjustable heat settings and feels like quality.

Wide (GP501)I had an old ghd that had been going strong for 10+ years but really wanted something new. Was so hard to choose between this, cloud nine and ghd but so glad I chose this. My hairdresser also uses this and explained how the vibration setting is actually much better for your hair.
I have very coarse, frizzy hair and lots of it. My first use got it smooth and sleek. Definitely not cheap but worth every penny!

Wide (GP501)Several years ago I had cloud 9 and loved it but when it died after 4 months I decided to get one of the new Dyson Corrale which I kept for a year even though I hated it. I decided on trying the glam palm 501.
I have long, thick, curly and frizzy hair and was hoping that the glam palm 501 would tame my hair. It is honestly amazing and produces such a sleek finish which I could never achieve with the other brands i previously owned. Normally my hair goes back to a frizzy wave after a few hours, but with the 501 it keeps the frizz and curl away. So happy with my purchase and would recommend this.

Glides so well
Wide (GP501)I normally don't tend to leave reviews but I had to as this brand I recently discovered through my hairdresser is fantastic. multiple temperatures to choose from and a long cord! how good! Also my daughter left it on the other day and we came back from Coles and the iron was in a kind of off mode to protect my stuff. i looked it up and it is the hibernation mode. very handy! thank you Lisa and Cohen or Colin?!

Wide (GP501)Ordered this as my hairdresser uses it and her one is invincible and has survived for close to ten plus years !!
Mine on the other hand has been nothing but issues as this will now be my fourth return to have a technician look at it for "free" cause it's out of warranty !! Even when it was in warranty I had to send it back as it dies altogether initially and the other two times it was crakelling and making looking noises ( safety issue) and now the power button has completely fallen off !!

Very easy styling
Wide (GP501)I like that the plates are wider than my ghd. First impression is really good and comes with lots of goodies. The plates are smooth and the hair doesn't snag or pull.
I called up to enquire which iron would be the best for my hair and they guy on the phone was very friendly, I think he said his name was Colin. I have tried Cloud 9 in the past but they kept on breaking down so i went back to ghd but something changed so hopefully I'm on a winner here!

THIS IS THE BEST IRON I HAVE EVER USED!!
Clinic (GP225)OMG! So i always had a ghd and then i tried a Cloud9 but they always broke and their customer service is so bad. my friend who is a hairdresser recommended me the glampalm and WOW! it has changed my life! super quick styling, it has a vibration mode on all settings and it even has a clinic mode for treatments apparently but i still have to try that one.
PLEASE PLEASE do yourself a favor and give this band a go and you will fall in love like I am!!

Doesn't Last Long
Clinic (GP225)I would not recommend this straightener, it broke after 2 years whilst my old GHD lasted for 10. I sent it back to GlamPalm to be repaired & a few months later it broke again, right after the warranty ended. Very unhappy.

BETTER THAN CLOUD 9!
Clinic (GP225)Wow this striaghtener is just wow. the plates vibrate 800 times per minute and my hair feels so smooth and healthy. it never felt like this before! thank you glampalm! i did some investigation and these irons are the original ghd but also the original cloud 9 and by the looks of it cloud 9 is now copying glampalm at a more expensive price. the glampalm has 11 temperatures and can vibrate at all temperatures where apparently the cloud 9 only can vibrate on 150 degrees. also the glampalm has a clinic function to repair hair where the cloud 9 has not.
i bought the white glampalm and am in love <3 <3 <3 up to buying a glampalm blowdryer yay!

poor quality
Wide (GP501)Initially I loved the iron but after owning the iron for less than 6 months one of the plates chipped through normal use, the iron has never been dropped or misused but apparently its not covered by warranty. Complete waste of money I've never had this issue with my previous GHD that I've owned for 10 years would not recommend this product to anyone considering the price.

Quality doesn’t match the price
Clinic (GP225)I bought the straightener just over a year ago, $330 and it’s chipping and falling apart. Not the quality you would expect for the price. I left a review on the company’s Facebook page and they keep deleting my comment and ignoring me! What a great way to treat customers.

When you have the Clinic Series a ringing sound in totally normal as it is the muffled motor that drives the vibration and starts when you plug in the device. Hope that helps!

As you can see, from your hairdresser, the GlamPalm irons are made of excellent quality to survive professional environments for a long time. When you called us on Tue 25/7 we explained that we would be more than happy to help you but as we currently don't have the iron - hence we can not analyze it on the cause - it would be hard to give you a definite solution over the phone. All irons come with a two year warranty with the option to upgrade to a 3rd year. All repairs come with a six month after-service warranty on the serviced components which means if it is a manufacturer's fault this time you would be still eligible for the after-service warranty. We asked you to send the iron to us which up until present we have not received yet. Please note, you could not provide a purchase receipt, an exact date or place neither we would have sold the GP501 for $500 three years ago as currently this iron retails on our website for only $289. We value each and every one of our customers as we are well-know for our quality products and outstanding customer service and have offered the customer a fair solution even the iron is out of its original warranty.
