Really impressed with this straightener. It heats up quickly and glides through my hair without pulling. I have thick, frizzy hair and usually need a few passes, but this gets it smooth in one go. I’ve tried everything from GHD to Dyson, but honestly nothing compares to SAS. From the first use, my hair was smoother, shinier, and actually stayed straight all day — even in humidity. well-packaged and in perfect condition. Straight out of the box, the product feels solid and high quality—definitely not one of those flimsy, cheap-feeling straighteners.
Both my wife and daughter have quite different hair types—my wife’s is thick and wavy, while my daughter’s is finer but can get frizzy. This straightener handled both really well. It heats up super fast (within seconds), and the temperature seems consistent throughout the styling process. They both said it glides through the hair smoothly, without pulling or snagging, which is a big deal for them.
The results have been impressive—sleek, smooth, and shiny hair that actually lasts. No weird frizz creeping back in after an hour, and they don’t need to keep going over the same sections again and again like they did with previous straighteners. It’s also lightweight and easy to handle, which makes it great for everyday use.

(just over the 2 year warranty), my first SAS straightener started to play up. It would switch on, but the temperature would often not appear and no heat generated. Eventually this happened every time I switched the unit on. Tried different power points in our house and family - same issue.
Purchased a new straightener in late September 2019 - the new unit worked well for a couple of weeks and then the same issue started to occur. Contacted SAS Support about a replacement - had to follow-up twice to get a response. They were very agreeable to send a replacement unit. The replacement unit never arrived, I had to follow-up again two more times, until I was eventually told they were waiting for new stock.
The replacement unit arrived the week before Christmas - same story, worked well for a couple of weeks and then exhibited the same issues while away on holiday. I contacted the SAS Support Team again to ask for a refund (consistent with Australian Consumer Law) as this the third unit I've had with the same issue, which leads me to believe there is a fault with their product. Makes me wonder if this is the reason they are having so many "flash sales" at the moment.
Despite sending 4 emails, I have not had any reply from SAS, which is extremely disappointing and frustrating. There are no other forms of contact I can make - they have no telephone number publicly available, the chat box is always offline, and the online forms do not elicit a response. Essentially, they can continue to ignore you.
If you are considering purchasing this straightener, I would not at the current time. There seems to be an issue with the product and a significant issue with the customer service.

grip; especially closer to the hot end. This is so important because I like really squeeze my ends as they are so fine. It doesn't burn my hair and leaves it as straight as when I go to the salon! It's so incredible! It has a green neon light lcd display and I can adjust the temperature to my hair needs. Never have I had smoke or steam coming off my hair with the SAS straightener like my old one did. It only takes me 15 minutes to do my hair now instead of an hour!! I'm so in love with this and I've been using it for 3 months. My hair stays poker straight for at least 5 days without having to redo it and it's super curly naturally. I LOVE the flat base so I can rest it on my heat mat when it's heating up or I'm clipping my sections. Awesome!

Nothing amazing – I bought this after my GHD died after 2 years of use (not too happy this happens with the more expensive brands). hair at a time. It is easy to use and hasn't affected my hair negatively. My hair comes out straight as without a problem. However, the next day if I tie my hair, it loses the straight shape. This didn't happen with the previous brands I used. It doesn't come out as smooth either and feels more rough to the touch. The display is a little fidgety (a touch screen that doesn't respond very well - would have just preferred buttons that are reliable). If I had the money, I'd try something else. If you're on a budget and this fits within it, it will do the job.

purchased my third SAS hair straightener. Each one has lasted about 2 years. I have thick, coarse hair and this works quickly to straighten my hair without damaging it.
As my last straightener just died, I purchased another and paid $10 for express delivery as I need to use it daily. I’ve now waited 2 weeks and my delivery has not arrived. I know this is a courtier issue, but I have contacted SAS twice about it and have not received any responses. This lack of communication has been very frustrating. I fear that I may have to buy another straightener as this is just taking too long.

Meh, not the greatest straightener I have ever used – I purchased a set of these straighteners after reading the reviews here and whilst the display on the unit is good, I have found that it does a poor job of straightening my hair, it's left frizzy, doesn't stay straight and required me to use a very high temperature setting, which has now damaged my hair.
