Pretty basic – I recently bought one after my 13 year old GHD started dying. It’s OK. Nothing special. Very surprised that it doesn’t have an auto turn off feature- surprising omission considering my decade old GHD did! Show details

Terrible hair straightener – I am so very disappointed with my silver bullet keratin 230 . I have used it once, my hair was still thick after going over and over my hair. The floating plates do not grip the hair, you cant read the heat dial it's black on black and hidden inside the plate Show details

Short circuited, very dangerous – Started off working ok (which is why I didn't give it 1 star), but out of the blue it exploded in my teenage daughter's hand. It was plugged in and as it was lifted there was a large flash and a bang. Very scary. It was only a lightly used hair straightener and definitely not used to the point that the electronics could have been worn out. Even… Read more

then, it shouldn't explode like that! It was well cared for. This happened not long after the warranty ran out (of course). Really disappointed given the price.

A good quality straightener – I've had my silver bullet for around 3 years. I have super thick, coarse, wavy hair so I wasn't sure how it would work in my hair, but it's pretty good. Heating- it heats up quickly and I like that there is a temperature dial so I can choose the temperature. Mine also came with a heat resistant mat, which is really useful because I could never… Read more

figure out what I was supposed to do with the straightener while it was cooling down.

Straightening - if I'm to be honest, the silver bullet doesn't work quite as well as my old ghd. But it was aroun $120 cheaper and I don't straighten every day, so I was happy to compromise a little. If I take the time to straighten properly (tiny thin sections at a time) then is has virtually the same results, but if I rush and do thicker sections, it's not as effective.

For anyone with regular, manageable hair, this is a great product. For unruly hair like mine, it really depends how perfect you want it to look. If you're willing to painstakingly straighten, the silver bullet will still give you good results, but if you rush it, it might not work so well

Amazing For Its Price – I bought the Silver Bullet Keratin 230 Titanium (limited edition gold) for my mum for mother's day. I own a glampalm, and in comparison to glampalm, it isn't as smooth or from what I've read other people describe the silver bullet as "hot knife through butter". Don't get me wrong, it's a smooth glide, but I have seen smoother. However, it does the… Read more

job very quickly - takes one go for it to straighten out hair.

I think it isn't as smooth because it's titanium rather than ceramic. I've read that titanium is better than ceramic as there is a more even distribution of heat on the plates. Also, if a ceramic straighter is dropped, the plates can chip and cause that horrible hair pulling problem.

All in all, my mother loved it and I really don't see any fault in it. If you're not looking to spend over 200 for a hair straightener, this is the one to go with. Don't bother with all those VS and Remington crap because they will break down eventually with their crappy heat settings and plates.

Works Like a Hot Knife Through Butter – Having Wavy, Dry and Unruly hair I'm always super fussy in choosing the best hair products and tools. When my GHD stopped working I wanted the best flat iron I could find, however did not want to pay top dollar for another GHD or Cloud Nine iron. After searching the internet and looking at just about absolutely every flat iron on the market , I… Read more

came across the Silver Bullet Keratin 230 Titanium. It really stood out from the others IMO with it's stylish shiny silver plates, LED Display and Variable Temperature Settings to 230 degrees. The titanium plates are supposed to be friction free and also penetrate the hair quicker than ceramic so I decided to take the plunge and buy it.

I could not be happier!! This iron glides through my hair unruly like a hot knife through butter with no snagging or friction what so ever. The results are sleek, straight, shiny hair in no time at all. It has honestly surpassed my expectations and works even better than my GHD ever did. I'm so glad I bought this iron.

After shopping around, the best price I found was through sydneysalonsupplies.com.au for $109.00. It came in a pack which also included a Silver Bullet Paddle Brush, 4 x Crocodile Clips, Styling Comb and Heat Resistant Mat. I would highly recommend this straighter. Better than a GHD, Inexpensive, Bonus Items

Best iron ever!! – I had used ghd products for years and recently switched to Silver Bullet and it’s the best decision ever. It heats up so quickly and glides smoothly through my hair. The ghd used to stick, but this one is very smooth. My hair stays straight for days! Excellent product Show details

In love – I always had used ghd before , my last one my husband stepped on it accidentally and broke it , so it was time to get a new one! I didn’t like the new ghd and had read so many good reviews about this straightener that I decided to get it and OMG its the best straightener ever! I have it in the not too wide heads , so its perfect for creating… Read more

waves and perfect for dead straight hair!! And it comes with so many accessories! I have dark thick curly hair ( middle eastern background ). It gets warm quick and it has different settings for different hair types which is great so if you use it frequently you can reduce the heat so your hair stays healthy! And usually i would have to go through a strand of hair a couple of times,, but with this one max two times is enough ! It is amazing and worth every penny spend

SB has converted me from GHDs – Needed a straightener that went to 230’ to do keratin smoothing treatments as GHD do not go that high. I feel GHD has gone off the boil, there’s are brilliant! Show details

BEWARE: read this BEFORE buying a silver bullet hair straightener. Terrible product – I bought 2 of these, one for myself and one for my daughter in Oct 2018. They worked for about 2 months then started faulting. they BOTH had times were they did not heat up at all, or heat up a little bit but useless to be of any good, and then sometimes heated up perfectly. They are completely unreliable and the fact that TWO of them started… Read more

doing this over time....yet still only 5 months old shows up that the product is bad. I will NEVER ever be wasting my money on a Silver bullet hair straightener again. Very Very unreliable and constantly lets you down right when you desperately needed it to work.

Ok quality – The straightener works well for about 2-3 months and then it started to become rusty and dirt started to build up in the ceremic surface. It works great for the price but however it can be better Show details

Not happy with purchase – After reading reviews I was exciting to get the silver bullet 230 titanium. But I'm so disappointed and even called the store where I purchased to get an exchange. It catches my hair doesn't leave a nice shine like previous straighteners have. My hair appears to be more damage from using it and I've had to start using Olaplex alot more on my hair.

Good for thick coarse hair – This straightener heats up in about 20seconds to 210C. Smoothens hair well and as it’s light weight it’s very easy to curl the hair. As it has titanium plates it glides smooth without any tugging or pulling. The only reason why I haven’t given it a 5 star rating is because it didn’t wow me for the price I paid for it. I have another titanium… Read more

straightener which I purchased for a lesser price and it has the same effect. When I set the temperature to 230C it didn’t really fasten the straightening process.

I like it but if I compare with other titanium straighteners it does not have any added benefits considering the extra price.

Awesome product - no regrets! – Purchase this iron! The heat levels are great because you can customize the level to the thickness of your hair. It's narrow enough that you can get the strands from the root and not have to deal with the crease an iron can make in your hair if you start further down. This iron does not pull my hair out at all and really works. I was shocked for… Read more

the price that this iron would be so great but I read the reviews and I agree with them all. It really was a great purchase. I have naturally wavy to curly hair that's fine in texture, and I straightened my hair when we were on vacation in the heat and humidity in St. Thomas and it worked great!

Best hair straightener ever!!! – and I still don't like doing my hair. But, I have two daughters with thick course hair, this straightener has worked magic on their strands. This cuts hair time in half. Instead of blow drying after a wash, I let their hair air dry overnight.

Love this! – This hair straightener is amazing, I have tried many brands in the past until I was recommended onto this product. It heats up super quickly and straightens my thick hair in just minutes. My hair is undamaged from this straightener I absolutely love it.

Horrendous – I’m onto my third silver bullet since April 2018, if it’s not pulling my hair out at the root, or snapping it off, it’s not even turning on. To think I got rid of my GHD for this. I can’t understand how its advertised as ‘smooth’, there is nothing smooth about it.

Worst straightener I've ever used – This is bad far the worst hair straightener I've ever used. I wanted an upgrade from my muk and thought I'd try this after reading reviews on it. It clamps and pulls on my hair. It only straightens small (tiny) portions of hair at a time. Please dont waste your money on this below average product.

Love it! Better than my old ghd – Needed a replacement of my original ghd straightener as the current ghds are badly made. The silver bullet was just as good as my old ghd if not better! Definitely better price-wise!

Great Product – After having 4 GHD straighteners break within 4 years, I decided to try the Silver Bullet. The straightener is light weight and doesn't snag on hair. I have thick, frizzy hair and the Silver Bullet works really well! The quality is very similar, if not better than the GHD Platinum :) I definitely recommend!

The best! – I’m a hairdresser so I have used all of the best brands, this one is by far the best! It doesnt snag the ends of your hair, it glides through beautifully. Heats up very quickly and last forever! Perfect for very very thick hair but also good for fine hair.

Good, but not as good as GHD – Good, but not as good as their competitors. I just found that the results were not as good as they were for my GHD. I do feel however, that my hair burned a lot less so than GHD so that was a plus and perhaps why the results were not as good.

Better than a GHD – I had an old Silver Bullet for 3 or so years and once it died I had to replace it with another. The shop attendants were trying to sway me to buy a MUK but im glad i stuck with the Bullet. Has temp. settings, never catches my hair and included a heat mat and clips. Definitely recommend

Best I have found for fine hair – This is just excellent for fine hair. I have damaged my hair using cheaper straighteners before and will never make that mistake again. It heats up quickly and holds the temperature very evenly. I can spend some real time styling or just do a quick freshen up and it always does the trick. The pads are really slick on this and never grab my hair. Its the one to get!

Excellent! – I love this straightner, well worth the money, heats up instantly, never pulls or snags my hair. I have very long fine hair, this does no damage to it at all, the titanium plates are fantastic on your hair. I've been buying silver bullet for over 12 years & cannot fault. 5 stars.
