How do you change the angle of the handlebars?

Hi,

To change the angle of the handlebars you need an allen key to slacken off the head stock it nèeds to be realy tight once the angle is achieved.

Hope that helps

An allen key is required. You will be able to purchase from your local bicycle dealer a very useful tool rather like a swiss army knife that has a size range of allen keys that will cover all your needs. Tally Ho and happy cycling!

Hi Anthony, I am actually on a cycle tour, so can't check the bike [which has been sitting unused for some time] but from memory, it is a 700c [it should say on the wall of the tyre - can be hard to read].

Cheers!

Sorry! Should specify this is 700c (usually 28-35 mm would be what the tube specified, the tyre is 35 mm I think).

I am a women, 5' 6" tall and my inside leg measurement is 30 1/2". What size cypress LX W should I purchase? xs or small? I rode a small but it feels heavy to me.

I would stay with the small. These bikes are heavier than other bikes in it's class. Having owned this bike for a year now, I feel it's best suiting as a commuter bike or for simple pleasure. If speed is must, it would be better to look elsewhere or at least a different model or road bike.

Hi Gerry, Not knowing your physical attributes but taking your height into account I would think that the small size would be fine. You will quickly notice after a few weeks of riding that you really do not notice the weight of the bike. You will have gained some leg strength by then and you will notice how well designed these bikes really are. I bet you will be the envy of your friends and neighbors as you just cruise on by! Happy riding!!

Thanks so much for the responses. The staff at the shop where I purchased my bike were all very helpful. I finally decided on the Cypress LX small. I am enjpying it more and more every day and am happy with my decision so far !

I have had my Cypress 3 for around 3 years, not ridden too often and now I find that the crankshaft bearings have been flogged out,is this normal wear and tear?.I have never had to replace these bearings on any other bike i have owned.

Seems normal for this bike. I also had to replace the "bottom bracket" after approx 1000km. Never had to do this before on fairly new bike. Seems result of poor components.
