ALDI Goldenvale Apricot & Almond Muesli

I fondly recall the 'Goldenvale' muesli's and am disgusted with the 'bean counters' continually getting involved in food production. They are not chefs or dietitians!! We, too, have noticed the demise of nuts in the 'fruit free', Aldi, Muesli we usually buy. I've decided to make my own from now on but will have to buy some of their products;… Read more
example almonds, to make it unfortunately (Maybe I should grow an almond tree, grow wheat etc etc). Now I have to find a recipe and spend another few precious (unpaid!) hours making it!
No longer even considering – Has gone from ok as a base for home made but now not worth consideration. Three almonds in a 750gm bag. Certainly not fruit and nut. Show details
Apricot & rotten almond – the almonds are rotten used to be almond colored now brown I usually soak the almonds overnight and enjoy plump fresh almonds lately they are rotten Show details
Bring back Goldenvale Muesli – When Goldenvale was in charge of the muesli it was unbeatable, terrific. Now Hillcrest have taken it over it’s abysmal. Show details
Great price great product – Purchased these products a couple of years now, and find them incredibly good value and very tasty. For breakfast, I usually have Musli on top of a Wheat Biscuit and Greek low-fat yogurt and milk, all purchased from Aldi, can't go wrong with value for money and taste.
Product quality lost – This was my go to muesli with good solid content. But with the recent change in packaging the contents have significantly reduce in quality, few nuts or fruit with the oats being more flour than substance. Making the muesli uneatable.
Ingredients not as listed – I've been eating this cereal for 6 months. In all that time I've probably gone through 4 or 5 bags of the stuff and have only found at the most 2 almonds in all those bags. I am disgusted. We've returned the last 2 bags of a bulk purchase & have utterly given up buying it. It really is terrible, however, if you like peanuts in your almond muesli, then go for it !
