No Transparency and Over charge – I drive a peugeot 3008. I had a coolant leak that needed to be repaired. I couldn't drive so I had my car towed to Gosford European Car service. They told me they had to order a hose in so it took a couple of days. They quoted me $700 to have it fixed and replaced. I waited a few days. They called me back saying my car is ready, we are shutting up shop early, would you like to come and pick your car up. I asked mechanic about the invoice and he said it come to $829. I paid the invoice there was no transparency about the difference in what they quoted and the final invoice they gave me. I would not recommend this business.

Not bad...but still expensive! – Booked my diesel BMW in for repairs...thinking that it would be cheaper than going to Worthington BMW and thus saving me some $$. After the shock of the $3,000 bill, I phoned Worthingtons to get a comparative quote for the exact same job and it was almost exactly the same price....exact same scope of work. The difference was that Gosford European had much lower hourly rates, -but the end up spending much longer and then it comes out the same as Worthingtons. Spare parts are the same price at both shops. I could get Bosch plugs for $199 from local suppliers over the net while both shops charged around $400 for the same. So, the service is not bad in my opinion, -but it is expensive and next time I might as well go to Worthington and at least get a washed and cleaned car back! Transparency is sort of okay....not great as I couldn't get all the info I was after when I paid my bill.

Honest Mechanics are hard to find – With every auto workshop ask for the old parts to be returned after replacement and get 2nd opinions on any "necessary" work that needs to be done if there doesn't seem to be a problem, especially, in the case with this shop. I had a lot of work done there ($5,000), some not needed at the time but i had just purchased a 2nd hand car and wanted it to be like new. It was suggested that i change the radiator due to a pin hole that it had so i agreed. The next time it was in for a service I was told by a different man that the radiator needed to be replaced and i mentioned that it had been replaced when i had the major work done and that it must be a warrantee issue. I didn't think much of it until another time when i went to drop off some oil and heard a phone conversation in which the man recommended a replacement radiator.. i checked the one in my car and noticed it was the one that they had installed originally and it's still working to this day .. after hearing that phone call i never returned .. just be careful, one of the hardest thigs to find is an honest mechanic and at that time i was put off by this shop .. i don't think there is any decent euro car specialist in the Gosford/Wyong area.. Another one couldn't diagnose an airbag light problem.. he had the car for over a month and it nearly didn't pass rego .. it turned out to be a clock spring which i learned through a youtube video .. investigate before wasting your money

Lack of respect and transparency – I had the misfortune to come across this car service this week when my car got a broken muffler on the weekend. I booked over the phone on Monday morning and minutes later I organised a towing service to transport the car to Gosford European car services. When I called later in the afternoon to find out about the car I was told they will call me next day, as they did not call me I called back the day after and a guy very casually told me they were 'very busy', that my car was the tenth car on line for service and that there was only one mechanic working , when I asked when they will check on my car I was told, maybe by the end of the week or early next week. I told the guy why they did not mention that before I tow my car to their place, he said if I want I could take my car to other place. A total waste of my time and money as I had already spend money on towing the car to Gosford, now I had to drive it myself to another mechanic because this mechanic lack of any respect for my time and money.

Great job from great specialists! – I want to thank Franck and his team for the great job at replacing the timing belt and water pump on my Citroen C4 Picasso. This is a complex European car and only needs the best specialist in the knowledge, skills and experience to work on. I generally service my car myself but needed an expert specialist to do this big job. Franck and his team proved that.

My beloved Picasso now has amazingly more power and drives superbly smoother bringing back the joy and experience of driving it new.

Now, I know who I can trust to take my car in for services. Franck and his team were professional all along, from the very first phone call I gave them, the honesty and transparency in the quote, which I must say was surprisingly cheaper than most other quotes. They even replaced my A/C auxiliary belt for free.
