rebate was about to change, they said as I need it sooner , they will refund my deposit. That was second week of April. Nowhere in qld would now be available to book before may at that time, so I lost my higher rebate due to them. And then I am chasing for deposit refund for 3 weeks. Calling them, e-mailing them but to no avail. They talk very nicely on phone but delivery is BIG Zero. Still chasing for my deposit

Trash company. Really unreadable: they said they will install my solar and after waiting for about 2 months that lost contact and did not even say anything. When I tried to call them they didn’t answer and hung up. Because of this shot company I lost the battery rebate that I would have got. Pls do not go with this trash company.

returning the quote, Grand Solar then requested an additional payment of $1,000, which was not clearly explained or justified at the time.

More than four months later, the system has still not been installed.

We have been advised that the company has been unable to secure an installer. This is extremely concerning given that the contract was accepted and a deposit taken months ago.

The ongoing delay is now placing us at risk of losing access to government rebates worth thousands of dollars — a key factor in proceeding with the purchase in the first place.

We have been unable to obtain meaningful communication from the company. Multiple calls and messages have gone unanswered, and we have not received return phone calls.

Despite repeated follow-ups and formal requests for a clear installation date, there has been no substantive response.

At no point prior to signing were we made aware that installer availability could be an issue. From a customer perspective, this raises serious concerns about the company’s ability to deliver on the contracts it enters into.

We are not seeking a refund — we simply want the system installed as agreed.

Based on our experience to date, I would strongly recommend that anyone considering using Grand Solar seek clear, written confirmation of installation timelines before committing.

 Follow-up  · having being asked to write a follow up by this site - the extra payment was explained as an AC to DC coupler - which was a new rule in 2023 - why Grand Solar asked for $1000 extra on top of our quote for this in 2025 is not known. This company is one to steer clear off.

months later and I still have not received a confirmed installation date. I have sent numerous emails and made multiple calls to their hotline requesting updates. Communication has been extremely poor and I have not received clear information about when the installation will actually happen. I would still prefer to proceed with the installation under the originally agreed terms, but at this stage the delays and lack of communication have been very frustrating.

 Follow-up  · Since posting my original review, Grand Solar has cancelled the contract and refunded my $2,000 deposit after approximately five months of delays and repeated follow-ups from my side. system has not been supplied or delivered.” Despite written assurances, promised installation dates, and full payment of deposits, no installation ever occurred. Grand Solar attempted to impose an unlawful price increase on 19 January 2026, caused entirely by their own delay. Refunds were later issued without explanation, and were accepted strictly under protest. This does not represent any agreement with their attempted termination. The matter is now under active conciliation with Consumer Protection WA. This archive will continue to be updated for public transparency.

I had the experience from hell with the company, very hard to contact once signed up, major delays on installation, Do Not Pay them all of the money until it is installed and you are happy with it, The installers were great but they are contracted to them so that is why they are great, be very diligent with them as they have no idea about customer service, I would not recommend them at all. Show details

2025 and to date, I am no closer to getting my batteries installed. Getting anyone to take responsibility felt impossible.

The customer service team seemed overwhelmed and uninterested in resolving issues. Every time I called, I was passed between departments, and no one seemed to have accurate information about my project.

I chose this company because they advertised reliability and expertise, but my experience has been the opposite. I regret signing with them and would encourage others to do thorough research before committing.

the original contract by their representative. After discussion, they reduced this amount and added an extra $700 to the final invoice. However, I have escalated this issue to their leadership team, and my request is currently under review. Apart from this, everything else with the company was very satisfactory.

They installed the battery almost one month earlier than the promised date, which I really appreciated and this helped offset the inconvenience of the extra wiring cost.

Overall, I strongly recommend this company for their speed, quality of work, and reasonable pricing compared to others. However, I suggest having someone visit your property to provide an exact quote before signing the contract to avoid unexpected wiring costs during installation.

dealing with scammers take your deposit, the only way you get it back is by contacting Fair Trade. they give you a quote for full system, when really you're getting a partial system with a blackout for only a couple of outlets, like lights – a big disappointment. I hate to think what happens when things go wrong. What warranty are you really getting.good luck

took place on 27/12/2017. The team, led by Kenan, installed a 10.075 kW system, consisting of 31 x 325W GCL solar panels and an 8.2 kW Fronius Inverter (three-phase). They were punctual, polite, and very tidy. Everything was done by the book, and the quality of their work was evident. I was impressed with how smoothly the installation went, and they left the site clean and orderly.

Customer Service: The customer service was exceptional. Grand Solar, under Kenan’s leadership, handled all the paperwork, including organizing the grid connection after the install. This made the whole process stress-free for me.

Performance: Initially, I had some doubts about the GCL panels, but after 7 years of operation, I’m extremely impressed with the returns they’ve provided. The system has performed beyond my expectations, delivering consistent and reliable energy savings.

day promised and removed the old system so i could get the roof refurbished, they then returned 1 week later as promised and installed the new system. All work was done as per the regulations required all cables in conduit and all signage where required. When the installation was complete they removed all rubbish and ran me through how the system worked and all warranty paperwork was handed to myself. Grand Solar helped organise the required electrician for the meter connection. Any time i have needed any help Kenan has always taken my calls and sorted things out so a great customer service.

On installation day, it turns out that a lot of additional rewiring work had to be done in my meter box, but that wasn't a problem. The installers were very professional, and even though it took them longer than they had anticipated, they went ahead and did the job to the highest standard.

I'll soon be looking to add a battery to my system, and I'll definitely be picking up the phone to Grand Solar again. Thank you for doing such a great job at such a good price.

us to the grid allowing our system to recoup a return from our energy supplier due to our feed-in. And his after sales care and service was one of which we have never really experienced before. His remote monitoring of our systems performance after the installation and follow up phone calls making sure we understood the use of the app he supplied, has also ensured us on how to easily access and monitor to see our usage and grid feed-in. It was very reassuring. He was and still is never too busy to answer our phone calls with any questions we might have even to the point of assisting us with overcoming an issue that had nothing to do with his installation but was due to our geographical position and our Wi Fi which has been rectified, also with his help.
