Green & Black's Organic Milk

They ruined it – Used to buy this occasionally because it was a nice creamy milk chocolate but a recent purchase of the thin 90g block does not taste good. It is edible but won’t be buying again. Show details

A steady decline in quality – I had my concerns when this became part of the Cadbury/Mondelez empire, and they are being borne out. The "block" size is now 90grams down from 100grams and it is becoming sweeter and has less "snap" than it used to. If I wanted to eat cadbury Dairy Milk, I am more than capable of buying it. Really like it. Use to love it but recipe changed – Years ago, when it was originally owned by Green & Black (an independent British company), it was absolutely sensational. They then sold out to Canburys and the quality was compromised in my opinion. It still tastes nice. But not as good as it once was. I still like it though and still eat it on occasion.

No longer wonderful - now just awful – No longer an avid Green and Black's consumer. The latest purchase (expiry 3 June 2017) was just incredibly ordinary. Gone is the richness replaced by a compound chocolate crunch. At least we still have Haighs Chocolate!

Good chocolate – Love everything about the chocolate but I don't like that it's now owned by Kraft after their takeover of Cadbury

Amazing – This chocolate is the best if you like the taste of 'real' chocolate that's not super sugary and watered down like Cadbury chocolate. It is slightly darker than other milks. I love it from the fridge! Yum :)

Best you can get in supermarkets – This chocolate is one of the best - perfect flavour and smooth, not as sweet as some brands like Cadbury. Also the only organic brand in major supermarkets - so its ethical too! Perfect for cravings or just a sweet treat or a sweet dessert. Excellent - a chocoholic families choice – This is the best of the widely available block milk chocolates. We try a lot of choclate - even occasionally buying caterers blocks of Couvature chocolate and distributing around friends in useable parcels. To our taste this is the best of the readily available block chocolates. Excellent smooth mouth feel without being cloying Well balanced

Quite a nice chocolate :) – It's true what they say about this milk chocolate having more cocoa, just compare it with your usual chocolate bar and see the difference in colour. this milk chocolate would be popular with kids and those who just adore milk chocolate ;) I also think the texture is very good - firm, melts in the mouth and you can feel miniscule granules (sugar?) making it an interesting experience. Since the flavour is very good, it doesn't take a lot to satisfy (unless you tend to eat more!). Great chocolate flavour Difficult to break up into pieces, sweet for me (I prefer dark chocolate instead)

Great for cooking, I have made brownies, chocolate mouse, and chocolate mud cake, and chocolate frosting with it and all have turned out beautifully. its a bit darker than most milk chocolate on the market. The price is a bit high, but occasionally you can get it on sale and in my opionion its woth paying for if your only getting one block. Also it isn't made in Australia.

Good – This is a nice darky milk chocolate to have and indulge in. I liked the taste and the wrapper is really elegant and very rich looking, so it makes me feel like I am going to experience something rich and decadent. They say that chocolate should be 70% onwards to be full of anti-oxidants, and this one isn't near 70%, but it is definitely stronger than the regular chocolates. It has a nice creamy taste and is a good chocolate to sit back and relax and have. It is a bit stong, so I cannot have more than a few squares. It costs a bit more than the usual chocolates, but if you are willing to pay that much since it is organic, then it's fine because what you pay for in price, you get in good tasty milky chocolate.
