Just tried these for the first time in a few years. What on earth have they done. Sickly sweet and cheap tasting. Truly disgusting and tragically sad. Show details
Poor quality Guylian chocolates – I really like guylian chocolate but I bought a box from Sainsbury’s and one of the chocolates had a stone in there. I tried to email customers services about 4 times and still got no response. Pathetic company Show details
Guy Foubert would be rolling in his grave – Terribly disappointing- ended up here after eating one and thinking wth that’s different.. turns out it’s not just me. Powdery, crumbly sugar. At $14 a box HALF PRICE these are a joke, please don’t waste your money. Terrible how even luxury brands these days are selling cheap crap for more money. Try Bouchee instead. Show details
Wow, that bad....! – I have cut back a lot on chocolates and it's been quite a few years since I had Guylian but back in the day it was a favorite. Tried it now and did not recognize it at all. It's cheap and nasty now. No smoothness and just sugar flavor. Won't buy again. Show details
They used to be good but now they’re yuck! – These used to be my favourite chocolates but now since the changes in the recipe they’re awful! We opened a box and had 2 each then threw the rest in the bin, not worth the calories consumed, they taste really bad now! What’s up with companies messing with a good thing… can only be making changes to cost less for them but in turn destroying their once great product. Unfortunately we won’t ever be purchasing these again! Show details
Changed recipe – They used to be great and smooth now they just taste like powdery sugar chunks like every copy of em for but at 2x the price
May as well eat a spoon of sugar – Used to be good but like most chocolate makers they have reduced the cocoa and increased the sugar. The texture has also changed, it now tastes like a gritty lump of sugar emulsion in the shape of a shell. Would not recommend even on special, barely passable as a $2 box. Show details
Steep decline in quality – No wonder it’s constantly on sale and always in the discount food stores- these chocolates are nothing like they used to be. These are just sweet don’t taste like chocolates and the filling is not smooth and sickly sweet. Cant understand why they ruined the taste instead of using the true and tried recipe. They are losing all their customers who, like me, will never buy it again. Show details
Not what they used to be – Just bought a box for the first time in a few years. The quality has definitely gone down, they don't really taste like chocolate at all. Just pure sugar. Won't be buying these again, which is a shame as they used to be my favourite. Show details
Taste like cheap replicas – Was looking forward to these as i remember them being smooth and creamy chocolatey taste. So dissapointed. Overly sweet, grainy texture. Taste like cooking chocolate. Show details
disgusting chocolate, sickly taste of fake sugar. Guylian, worst ever! Would give zero stars if I could! – Not worth the money is totally disgusting, zero taste of chocolate, false advertising. Get real Guylian! Not impressed! Go back to The drawing board! Start all over using chocolate makers. Feral! Show details
Poor taste, not worth the price – Can hardly taste the chocolate, its full of sugar and not worth the price, doesnt take like it use too.. :(
Cheap ingredients – These chocolates were high quality many years ago, and I am sad that my once favourite chocolate is now a sickly sweet and low quality version. I certainly do miss cadburies marble chocolate!!

Poor – Ok if you like sweet and sickly chocolate, so much sugar in these that the chocolate flavour is completely overwhelmed.
Amazing! – These chocolates are the best and are good for any type of climate! I live in kalgoorlie which is very hot and i still can eat these regardless ! I have eaten this since i was 17 years old and i've been eaten them ever since. The softness of the chocolate just melts in your mouth ! oh what a feeling !
Good – Guylian chocolate sea shells are a delicious chocolate product famous for its beautiful sea shell shaped chocolate. Aside from the shape and design of the chocolate, the flavour is delicious as well and tastes rich and creamy. The detail in the pieces of chocolate is lovely and really pleasing to the eye. It is one of the main reasons why… Read more
Guylian chocolate sea shells make for a fantastic present as well. They come beautifully packaged and although they cost more than other chocolates, there is no denying that they are very high quality. Worth giving a try, or you might be lucky and get them as a gift. Delicious chocolate. Beautifully packaged and presented.
Excellent – Opening the package a smile comes to my face which is not only the anticipation of the melting chocolate in my mouth but also the Sea Shells form. The structure reminds me of beach, sun and holiday and the thought already lightens my day. The chocolate is very rich but taste wonderful. I am in heaven when the chocolate is melting in my mouths. sinful! I received the my first package as a gift from a work mate and I was sold. I love the rich taste of the chocolate which reminds me of a praline. Due to being more expensive this is really a rare treat and I am always hoping that I receive a box as a gift.
Good – These are great chocolates for me because I love the slight very creamy hazelnut praline and the way it just melts in my mouth. I also like opening the box and seeing which sea shell I would like to eat first. This is a great chocolate which seems equisite and very posh! Woah, these are a special treat to enjoy. When I first saw them, I thought,… Read more
chocolate shaped like sea shells? it didnt appeal to me at all. Then I saw the tv ads and I was eventually given a box as a gift, and I was impressed! They are very rich, so I can only eat 1 or 2, which is good! Price, very expensive too.
