GVA 2000W Bagless GVAC002

Hopeless - wish I hadnt bought it – Purchase this model in June 2015 for occasional use cleaning the car. I think I only used the vacuum 6 or so times before the motor blew up. Unfortunately this was a month outside the year warranty and the Good Old Good Guys at Mt Gravatt in Brisbane didnt want to know about it. Would never buy one again, would never buy from Good Guys again either! Show details
Waste of money – This is the worst vacuum I have ever used. Has next to no suction I could get better results with a broom. There is no way I would recommend it to anyone. I bought this as a present for my daughter when she moved into her unit. Clearly a cheap one as I don't have a lot of money and now have even less and a useless vacuum.
Better than expected – I bought the new GVA2000 from Good guys. I was after an outdoor garage & patio Vacuum. It is great, variable suction control, plenty of heads and attachments. Easily met & beat the pet hair and metal screw challenge. If I HAD to complain it would be he the light plastic handle and a bit more length in the tubes. I'm tall. Great service at store and a great price. It gives the big brands a lot of competition. Nice one, thanks.
Worse than similarly cheap vacuum cleaners – This product is quite pointless and a complete waste of your money. I have always had small vacuum cleaners from the cheap end of the range, always bagless. But this one just doesn't work if you have anything at all like dirt on your floors (ie anything other than the smallest of dust). It clogs up virtually immediately with, for example,… Read more
hair, the odd little bit of paper. I managed to use it for a grand total two rooms before it clogged up and lost all suction. It was great for the first room, though. It just didn't last. I have actually gone back to my old 'broken' one in preference.
Please don't buy this unless you live (i) in a tiny apartment and (ii) with virtually no dirt or dust on your floors and (ii) certainly not if you have long-ish hair, pets, any chance of paper or other items on the floor which might get sucked up. Then it might be ok. If you do buy it, assume you will be cleaning out the pipes and washing the filters after every time you use it and you will have to ensure there are no hairs, papere etc on the floor before you use it.
I have never written a product review before, so I hope this shows how strongly I feel that this vacuum cleaner is a waste of money.
Horrible – Horrible vacuum, we had ours for 6 months and then I took it back to the place I bought it because the vacuum lost all the suction power, even though the filters were clean. When I took it back and the lady tried it to see what was wrong with the vacuum, it completely died , wouldn't even turn on. Piece of crap, It is cheap but it is not worth… Read more
it. We have bought a Hoover, a bagged one this time as the lady that sold it to us recommended not to buy any bagless vacuum cleaners as they lose suction power after a while and you have to clean filters every time you vacuum, plus to change the filters is more expensive then the bags for a normal one. Hopefully this one is better.
Blows better than suck – What a piece of crap ! It couldn't lift a feather in a fit. Don't buy one ! You usually only get what you pay for, but in this case you will waste your money and have to find another cheap one. Best bet is to buy a reconditioned hoover or similar.
It's ok, for the price – This isn't a powerful vacuum cleaner but it is cheap, so of course it won't be as powerful as everything else. I own one and it works ok, but sometimes you have to go above some larger objects to suck it up.
Cheap but not nasty. Good Value – Costs about the same as a carton of beer. Extended warranty is only $19. Requires regular cleaning and is not great on thick carpet. But does everything else just fine. It is not a dyson. Follow directions and you'll be happy.
Not worth half the price – This is not worth the price of packaging. Feels like a childs toy & does not work well. Pushes fluff, dirt & mess around floor like a broom. You have to place the nozzle ontop to pick up dirt. The plastic brush glides pet hair, pulled carpet fibres etc without even moving it. Not worth it. Better to use a broom or save for a decent one that works. It's compact, like a toy.
