Haier HWF95ANB1 (9.5kg)

Avoid like a plague - service terrible no one cares – The Haier HWF95ANB1 started off fantastic – for 10 months, it performed flawlessly. Then, out of nowhere, it stopped working with an FC1 fault, and that’s where the nightmare began. Service was abysmal. It took three weeks just to get the first technician out, only to find they needed yet another part, adding an extra two weeks. Six weeks without a washing machine – unacceptable. Haier uses Fisher & Paykel service, which is slow and inefficient. I’m appalled they can get away with this.
While it worked, it was a great machine, but now I deeply regret this purchase. Avoid this model if you value reliable service.

Fake reviews – Edit: Machine was repaired by Haier at no expense to me. Working well now. I probably overfilled it. That being said, a 9.5kg machine should not be limited to 7kg of bedding. Original Review: The above review by David is fake. Many of the reviews for the 7.5kg version are fake as well. Seriously, read the review. The English is odd, and no one speaks like that, or in that volume. Reads like a bad infomercial.
Anyway, I did a large load with our 9.5kg machine. The front door seal popped off, and it spilled water all over our wood floor. Twice we have re-attached the seal and it has popped off both times spilling more water.
Now looking at the manual, I see this 9.5kg machine is limited to only 7kg for bedding. Why? I guess so that the seal doesn't pop off and leak water everywhere. What's the point of a 9.5kg machine that can't wash 9.5kgs as soon as a sheet or blanket is added?
Anyway, I guess I need to call the warranty people.
Great machine ! Don’t pay for machines at much larger prices – We are a household of only two adults , but we have a property maintenance business and our work clothes get pretty dirty. I am a chronic researcher when I am going to spend my hard earned dollar on an appliance/s and after some extensive researching decided to buy the Haier 9.5 kg front loader. I always believe that bigger is better especially when it is a washing machine, but that’s a personal preference. First impressions….. Aesthetically it’s a very nice looking appliance that would be at place in any high end laundry. ( I have a normal laundry ! ) I don’t mind the dark screen door, but others may prefer to be able to see their washing going round and round. Look and feel is very solid and well made. The LED display is clear and precise and you even get a nice jingle at the end of your wash cycle. Performance….. For the purposes of this review we decided to try as many of the functions as possible. If I went through every cycle this review would be 20 pages long!! So I’ll condense my comments. There are that many functions there’s sure to be a cycle to suit your needs. Normal wash is around an hour and the clothes came out very clean and smelt great. We use a liquid detergent and a softener. The spin cycle is great and the clothes dry quickly. We use the sanitise function for our really dirty work clothes and love it. But beware it washes at 90 degrees Celsius, so caution is recommended. There is a steam cycle which does “refresh” your clothes if say, you have only worn them briefly and want to wear them again. It didn’t take the creases out totally and is something we would rarely use. Another big plus is being able to add clothes during a wash cycle. For the busy people and lightly soiled clothes there is a quick wash which we thought was perfect, probably don’t need to full wash each time. We put a load of “ delicates” on and they came out perfect, no damage and very well cleaned. Cycle times are a personal thing and not really an issue for this household and I wouldn’t think for most households. There are so many settings that you can personalise and set, I couldn’t see a problem. For us the 9.5 kg size is great. Although not sure if we’ve actually put that sort of weight in it, but have washed some pretty large loads with no problems. There is a wi fi function, which I personally feel is a bit gimmicky, but we wouldn’t bother to set it up or use anyway. So not sure how well it works. Overall impressions….. Fantastic Machine. Stylish, solid , quiet, washes great, many functions to suit every sort of household., great price compared to many other so called top of the range machines. We paid $939 which included delivery and set up from Appliances online. We are Haier converts and would recommend this particular product to anyone.
