Halo Sleepsack Swaddles

Used it for two babies. Best swaddle hands down – I have used 4 or 5 different brands/styles sleeping bag. Halo is no doubt my favorite. Now my 3 months old baby is getting too big for the small size swaddle type sleepsack. Wish this same design comes in bigger size. Show details
Great but not enough for my Houdini! – It is great in the middle of the night when you do feeds. Just unwrap the flaps and feed. Then just wrap up the arms again when its time to sleep. Minimal disturbance for bub. Although the design is not escape proof. My LO is 9 weeks and stronger now but needs to improve design a little. Also one night I found him having all this bunched up… Read more
material in his face as the flaps and sack had been riding up. Not very reassuring. So now I make sure it sits perfectly in place every time before putting him down.
Life saver – I brought this to stop the fall reflexes on my son and he was too strong with wraps and would pull them undone and over his face he also hated being swaddled in them. Getting him to sleep and getting him to stay asleep is a lot easier and he likes it. Should have gotten one sooner. He's just above average and almost 4 months old and still fits… Read more
the small which i was worried about but its still a good fit.
Highly recommend for mums struggling to get a decent sleep.
Unprofessional service from Australian supplier – The zipper was faulty on the sleep sack that I purchased. When I sent the unused item back for a refund or replacement to the Australian supplier Babybrands they claimed that the product was used and dirty and asked me to pay an additional fee. They did not return the item to me nor did they refund or replace it.
Great for my strong 9w old who thinks he’s Houdini – My baby breaks out of all swaddles and I’ve seen him shred through the plum brand bamboo sleeping bag because there so restricting. I’ve been really impressed with this sleep sack because you can Velcro as tight or have it as loose as you want. He seems to like it because he can still wiggle his arms around inside but not startle himself awake… Read more
again. The bottom of the sack is quiet generous so he can frog leg sleep or kick around if he wants because he hates being restricted for long amounts of time. I would definitely purchase again.
Good idea – This is a good wrap for a strong baby who can escape lots of other wraps. I found that the large Velcro strips helps to keep baby inside. The base where the feet go is very generous, and my baby can have his legs in the frog position, which is hip healthy. It's also great about the bottom zipper, meaning night time nappy changes are quicker and… Read more
less disturbing. The only con I have with this, and it's fairly big, is that the arm wrap stretches quickly and makes it harder to wrap well and contains baby. I bought one, and within a month I needed another due to the stretching. I loved the product otherwise, so I didn't hesitate to get another. I feel like it will be a great sleeping bag when he grows out of the swaddle.
Best swaddle ever – We tried lots of swaddles and wraps. So many. Merino. Ones with hands in. Double wraps. Muslin. This was by far our favourite. The only one our little Houdini didnt escape from. And I love how babies can still frog up with their legs so don't have to worry about any hip issues at all. The only downside is with a long baby we had to transition out of it by about 4 months of age.
Swaddling made easy – My newborn loved to be swaddled and I struggled with using Muslim wraps - the Halo swaddle bag made swaddling easy and a happy content baby. Similar to other reviews, the newborn bag length was a bit short for my bub (born 52cm) and she quickly filled the length of the small bag too. Apart from wanting a bit more length in the bag, this product has been easy to use and a God send at sleep time!
An essential in our home – Our bub is quite tall for her age, quickly out grew swaddling cloths and escaped swaddling bags in seconds. These bags have saved us and I'm about to buy the next size up again as bub has grown. Yes, the hands do make it to the top by morning. If you don't wrap tightly enough the flap can move up across bubs face over night, but it is not tight… Read more
over their face. Just watch and learn the first couple of uses to get the snugness right. We can even change the nappy in it overnight so as to not disturb bub. Easy to use and wash. Much cheaper than other brands. Cotton. Have to learn the correct snugness to wrap. Measure baby's length not age when sizing up.
It's decent for the price – This is a decent swaddle for the price. I bought it on sale at Toys R Us. It works well for newborns, was able to swaddle my baby without her arms getting out for a few weeks. But yes, once the baby does start wriggling more, they are able too take their arms out. I found the length a bit short for my baby. She outgrew the 0-3 month size in 2… Read more
months. I did buy her the 3-6 month size from then on and now at 4 months she's growing into it already. The material is thick enough to keep them warm, but don't overdress your baby underneath as they go get too warm. It's well made - it's been chucked in my washing machine countless times and still going strong! Inexpensive; well made; great for newborns Not long enough for the age ranges.
Happy swaddled baby – We love the Halo Sleepsack. Our newborn is easily settled in it. When she is extra grizzly & wriggly she is able to eventually get her hands out the top but for most of the time she seems quite content and "cuddled" in the bag. The only other issue is that she is quite a long baby and I can see that she will outgrow the bag length wise before she… Read more
is big enough to go into the next size up. Reasonable price compared to some other swaddle bags. Baby seems happy & cuddled in the bag most of the time. Length of bag is a little short for long / tall babies.
baby pulled the wrap over his head! – Bought this to try as my 3 month old kept getting out of his wrap. Used it one night, lucky I'm a light sleeper as I looked in the bassinet and my baby was trying to put his arms above his head with his arms still wrapped in the swaddle, pulling the fabric over his face. I also agree that the fabric is quite thick and made baby sweat.May have been… Read more
alright as a sleeping bag but didnt try it. cheaper than most sleeping bag swaddle pulled over baby's head
Use it as sleeping bag, not swaddling – Baby eventually grew out of the swaddling bag we used when she was a newborn, so we decided to try another product. We finally bought one of this for trial, and I don't think it works well in swaddle mode, as baby kept getting her arms free (not tight enough) however, after nights of fighting herself out of swaddle, we realised she didn't want to… Read more
be swaddled anymore! Good thing this is a 2 in 1, so we began putting her in this as sleeping bag. Baby sleeps well instantly. The zip works fine for us, and it's on the bottom so you can change baby's nappy at night without getting her out of the sleeping bag. I've also tried it in car seat. However, I do find the material a little bit too thick, cuz baby sweat when we put her in it the first night. So just dress your baby lightly, except if it's winter. Also, we do find it a little bit difficult to fold the bottom part of sleeping bag behind her during night time nappy changing. (Because it's thick) But other than that, I love this product, only if its used in sleeping bag mode. Easy to put baby in, easy to wash, Zip is on the bottom and fits my baby well, fairly affordable compared to other sleeping bags Not good in swaddling mode! A little bit thick so you have to consider dressing baby in a light clothes.

Zip broke and swaddle not effective – We bought two of these and ended up barely using them. We found that the zips were not of very good quality and after using for about a week, one zip started to buckle. Aside from that, the swaddle didn't work for our baby - maybe she's just too wriggly for this design. We gave up on this product soon after trying it out. Faulty zips, didn't keep our baby swaddled for very long
Love it – We have been using the sleepsack swaddle and think it is the best. It is great that we can use it as a swaddle and a light sleeping bag. It is easy to put our baby in. We do have problems with the size too as our baby is quite long and he grows very quickly but we still think it is great. It is probably one of the better swaddles on the shelf. Sometimes he can bust out of it but I think that is due to our wrapping, it is a very nice swaddle.
These Sleepsacks aren't long enough! – These sleepsacks are very comfortable for baby for a little while. The sack is too short. My baby was too tall for the newborn sleepsack by the time he was 3 weeks old. So silly us purchased the next size 'small' thinking we would be able to use them until 6 months. Small is for 3 to 6 month old babies according to Halo's website but my baby's… Read more
feet were pushing up against the end of the sack by 3 months, the beginning of the size range (and he still fit his 000 clothing!). We have now purchased Merino sleeping bags that are much longer than the Halo bags and will be warmer through any nappy leaks or spit ups Should have purchased these in the first place as they fit babies from newborn until 2. years. Safe sleeping, natural material. Too short to be comfortable for very long.
