Wrong size on the box for work boots – I bought size 43 ( size on box)Hard Yakka boots from Bunnings knowing that is my size but not trying them on. Too hard to do that standing on one leg in the aisle when you’re 69. After a days wear of some way too tight boots I noticed the size 8 underneath. Hard yakka boots don’t align with Australian sizing. Apparently I need one full size bigger. Bunnings refused to swap them for the correct sizing. Show details

They disintegrate after a couple of months – Before they start to wear out they start to disintegrate. They start tearing everywhere. The fabric on the knees are good but the rest of the fabric is useless

Oh so comfortable – I bought my boots in September 2020 and boy are they good. I'm on my feet 8 or 9 hours a day on a concrete floor. When they're eventually worn out I'm getting another pair. Thanks hard Yakka. Show details

Give them a miss – Shoes are comfortable. This is the only good thing about them. If you intend to wear them outside, or in a working environment, be prepared for every stone etc to get into the boot. I mean everything. Your feet end up filthy and expect to be taking your boots off to empty the contents continually. Walking in the wet, water resistance/water… Read more

proofing amounts to the same as bare feet. Zero. If you require safety boots in an office environment these boots are suitable. Anything outside, forget about it. I have to now by another pair of boots.

3056 Lace snd zip boots – I feel compelled to comment on these 3056 boots. Comfortable from the onset and very easy to put on with boots laced and using zip. The mid height is good fir support but not restrictive as tall ones could be. Steel toe and water resistant. Didn’t check fit this feature though. I highly recommend these boots as comfortable safe work, garden and shed boots. Well done Yakka. Guy in Adelaide  Show details

Worst fitting pants and shorts – I was using size 32 in FXD brand fit perfect with Good stretch. Went to a store that only had hard yakka so tried on 32 and they were way too small so I got 34 which were OK fitting. Had for a couple of months now they have stretched so much but still that tight around the leg/ crouch area. Have thrown them out and will never buy again. Show details

3056 Womens Work Boots, pretty good actually – I had a nicely worn in pair of Oliver Work Boots but then having started a new job I found that I needed black work shoes of some sort. I went to the work wear store, there was some Oliver Boots which would have been perfect but they didn't have my size in stock. I tried on a pair of the Hard Yakka boots, the size on the shelf was perfect for me,… Read more

they felt comfy, they had zips on the side, the only difference is that they were more padded, lower and also heavier than the olivers (mainly because the olivers had a synthetic toe cap rather than steel).

Anyway I needed some boots ASAP so decided to go with the Hard Yakka. Initially they were comfortable but after the first week there was a period of time where the edge of the tongue was hurting the top of my foot, mainly one. I persevered and within another week the issue went away. I should mention that I find it hard to find perfect boots, it seems like one always seems to rub on my heel or something like that. I've had these for more than a month now and apart from the initial "wearing in" I haven't had any problems which is a good sign.

The zips are so handy, I would always buy work boots with zips these days. Yes sometimes I find the zips on these boots can unzip a little, but only a small amount. I think the zip retention thing could be a bit better designed...perhaps a little velcro strap like the Oliver boots tend to have could be a little more effective? In saying that they don't zip down enough to cause issue or constant adjustment and to think of it I find that it's only one boot (the right one).

A huge plus for these boots is the sole, I work in a place where the floors could get very slippery and I have to say these boots seem to have the most anti slip sole compared to any shoe I have owned in the past! Unless I'm stepping on a greasy piece of food or something these just aren't slippery at all it's great.....and they seem to be nicely waterproof too (when hosing down the floors)...although I do like to coat any of my leather boots in Nikwax or Dubbin etc for extra water proofing.

So yes I think I would be happy to buy these again. I work on my feet and often I also walk to and from work (about a half hour walk), these seem to be pretty good so far, for comparison when I initially wore some Volleys they were sliippery on the floors (even though it was a natural rubber sole) and my feet were sore by the time I finished work which made it a chore to walk home.

Shoes are a pretty personal thing so I can only recommend these from my experience....Hard Yakka 3056 Womens Work Boots purchased on 8/10/20, they certainly seem good for working in retail etc, especially impressed with the sole. I'm not sure of the durability in harsher work environments or outdoor conditions though, I've only tried and tested Oliver brand boots in such past jobs I've had.

Rubbish soles on safety boots – The soles on my steel cap safety boots fell apart ie crumbled within twelve months. The retailer told me it's a common problem with polyurethane soles; not happy. Leather upper is excellent. Had my boots re-soled with car tyre tread four years ago and very happy with the result although they're now a bit heavier to move around in due to the steel radial belt but should last for many years to come jn the bush. Show details

LEGENDS XTREME CARGO – Pockets: 1 out of 5. Very poorly designed pockets. The extra pockets that are supposed to be used as a nail bag are awkward. When you put the extra pock in the inner pocket to keep them out of the way they make you hot. All the pockets get dust in them. If you cut the extra pockets off you don't have enough pockets even for a phone. Stitching… Read more

and Velcro: 3 out of 5. The stitching has all held to end of life. The Velcro lasted on all the pants I had for about 2 weeks then became a gaping whole that fills with dust.

Fit and comfort: 3 out of 5. They come in three different fit lengths which is good, this means the knee pads are always under your knee. Comfortable wise they don't stretch much which can make them feel tight after being hot and sweaty.

Material: 5 out of 5. I haven't ripped open any pairs of them, when court on steel and other things on the work site on the whole they have provided there strength. The knee pad fronts are the best I've experienced never wholed them.

End of life: 5 out of 5. These pants have lasted well In comparison to others I have work in, these lasted a minimum of 13 through to 24 months. This is good considering they are at the same price point as others that lasted half the time.

Give them the boot! – Got the boots out of the wardrobe this morning and they fell to bits before the day was half way through. Tag says "Made in China" which says a lot! Good old Aussie made Rossi boots for me! I have worn them around China and Russia without a problem - even pointing out to a tour guide how good Australian made products were when his footwear was… Read more

soaked from the wet weather. Thought this Australian company would also produce good gear bit bitterly disappointed. Might have to take to Standards Authority! Or was the tag just a con?

Smart and Comfortable Cargo Pants – Very satisfied with the styling and comfort of my 3056 Cargo pants. I look for pants with pocket/s for a mobile phone, other than hip pockets. These fit the bill well. Material is tough with ripstop weave, but also lightweight. Only issue: They can slip down on my hips unless belt is very tight. But this might be due to my body shape! Show details
