Poor service – I purchased an item online which was a set of 3, when I received the package there was only 1 item and it had been partially damaged in transit. My email was replied to over a week later and only after I had opened a PayPal claim about the order. Please avoid this store! Will definitely not be purchasing again and thankful it was not a very expensive purchase.

Recommend you stay well away from Harrods.com – In my search for a high-value gift for a special birthday I found my way to "Harrods.com", the online emporium for Harrods of Knightsbridge which, of course, claims to be "The World's Leading Department Store." After spending half an hour browsing the site I found something I thought would fit the bill and ordered and paid with Amex, making sure I had plenty of time to get the item delivered to Australia for the special day.

An order acknowledgement dropped into my inbox immediately then nothing more for a week... at which point I received another form email casually telling me the order had been cancelled because the item was out of stock - and that my payment would be refunded, but that it could take up to 10 days.

So much for their claim of superiority... or maybe it's their sense of superiority that allows them to believe they can get away with such trash service.

Just in case anyone from Harrods Customer Service happens to be reading this review (unlikely, since I doubt they actually have any comprehension of the concept of "customer service"): a) you don't advertise the availability of a product (particularly an expensive product) and take a customer's money for it, if you can't actually supply it (especially where your offer hasn't included any qualification about availability) b) it does not take 10 days to process a refund to Amex. I've had credits processed to my Amex card before (more recently on accommodation bookings in Europe that had to be cancelled as a consequence of Covid-19) and they've been instant. 10 days is utter crap and tantamount to fraud.

So readers, here’s the warning Don't get suckered into dealing with these clowns by the name or any implied "brand integrity". These people are buffoons at best and, at worst, no better than third-word scam artists.
