Warning: stay away from Haval!
Most pathetic customer service I've received from any company. I have filed a case with Consumer Affairs Victoria and will be proceeding to VCAT. I am having issues with my Haval H2 since the first day and they are denying that there is any issue and don't want to help me. Their so called 7 years warranty is not worth the paper it's written on. Please stay away from this company and buy a car from a reputable company even if you have a pay more.

Value for money
Purchased the H2 for the wife because this was the only model offering Apple car play at that time early 2020. Took the demo for a test drive with 3 adults and found the 1.5ltr motor just adequate but as this car will be used by 1 person most of the time it would suit. The biggest disappointment is the turbo lag when cold, in fact it is downright dangerous. The good news that there is a software update ‘think it’s called cold start update’ which I recommend as a warranty call. The other annoying feature is the tire pressure monitor system, our ...car was randomly showing different tyres at different pressures but when checked they were all the same. I had the first 5000 service and advised I was running too high a pressure, apparently 34 psi is recommended so we will see if that fixes the problem. Other than the high fuel running cost it’s a nice car with most of the bling you would want tho a auto opening tailgate would be a nice inclusion in the future. Be safe on the roads, remember it’s better to be 10 minutes late than not getting there at all.
Purchased in March 2020 at Havel for $26,500.00.
I purchased Haval H2 lux in Jan 2019 as a demo model.
It was promoted by the dealer as having apple iphone nav system and many safety features.
I now know that many of the features are not available in Au.
As I have a disability these features were very important to me.
The dealership is wiping its hands of my concerns in spite of the misinformation given to me.
Im wondering if you all work for Haval.
Please research properly and do not buy if you have to drive up a slight driveway or hill in the mornings. Rolling backwards down the hill infront of neighbours is downright embarrassing. Never considered it a steep hill
Drive on 110km/hr highway everyday and it's so noisy

Havel SUV - Buyer Beware
Purchased a Havel H2 LUX in January 2020. Vehicle is small SUV. The car itself is well equiped and comfortable.
We added a tow bar with the intention of pulling a small 12ft caravan [under 1000kg]. This was not an issue UNTIL we checked on the tow ball weight endorsed by the manufacturer. To our amazement and total frustration, the maximum tow ball weight is only 70KG. The small van tow ball weight came in at a reasonable 80KG which is basically the minimum for a caravan of this size. A vehicle of similar size and engine capacity [eg Toyot...
Don’t buy buyer beware
Problem after problem keep away from this brand. Buyer beware there is a reason they are cheap to buy. Should have stuck to my gut feelings and paid a bit more for a reputable brand.

Proved all the doubters wrong!
Owned my Haval just on 12 months now & love it to bits. Was purchased as a replacement work vehicle in spite of concerns from many including my mechanic (who admittedly was comparing to the first Great Walls). Figured I couldn't go wrong in that if there was a problem, I'd be covered by the excellent warranty. I travel approximately 1100km per week (53000km on the clock in 12 months as of today) with lots of stop/starting & uturns on all road surfaces in all weather. I ensure all my cars are serviced religiously on time & my mechanic has been...really impressed as we've had not one single problem or even concern (apart from a ding in the door from a kangaroo). The seats are the most comfortable out of all of my cars, head lights are terrific, no problems with performance - I'm not racing anywhere - is the slightest lag but like any car new to you, something that becomes the norm. No problems with the media system - I guess my only dislike is the "clicking" when the wipers are on intermittent. Always get comments on how good it looks). I required another replacement vehicle 6 months ago & ordered another Haval but mine got damaged on the dock so delay time increased to 2 months which wasn't an option for me. Gave one of my drivers the Haval whilst i drove my backup car - when i purchased a different replacement car for her, she didn't want to give up the Haval so i got the new car, she kept the Haval! I WOULD DEFINATELY GET ANOTHER HAVAL FOR EITHER PRIVATE OR WORK REQUIREMENTS - not a second thought.

Outstanding Inside/Out and A Fantastic All Round Vehicle and Gets Lots Of Looks
As one of the VIP Transport Operations Drivers for Airshows Down Under in Avalon Victoria Australia, we had the used Haval H2 - H6 and H9 which got alot of looks.
Car use is 5 days a week to work and home. The car is fuel efficient, and extremely comfortable to drive.
Engine is slow to pick up from a stop, but has good high end torque. Brakes are very responsive in wet and dry.
Have found no mechanical issues, although not due for service for some time.
Highly recommend anyone to purchase this model and make of vehicle.

Haval H2 City Automatic
Driven 750 plus kms until now, only drawback that I found till now is its really challenging to put on the rear seat belts with baby car seats.....Overall Good Car..

Simply a great car...not just great "for a Chinese car"
I purchased this car on 1 July 2019 and I've waited about 6 months before writing this review. This is so I can give the reader a detailed "long term" review reflecting 6 months of ownership. At the time of writing the car has travelled about 4,000 km.
I have another car which I use for work and the Haval is entirely our private "family use" car. It does the regular grown family stuff like shopping trips, miscellaneous errands, dump runs, family transport and so on. I can assure you this review is an honest and accurate review of my ownership ...experience over 6 months. I use the car almost daily. I would buy another one of these cars in an instant if I needed to and I have no hesitation in recommending it to others. The biggest hurdle to overcome, I believe, is the negative attitudes and perceptions towards and around Chinese cars. This was justified with earlier Chinese efforts in our market but the current crop of Chinese products - and the Haval H2 - is excellent and worthy of very serious consideration. The Haval H2 is perfectly acceptable for the average Australian motorist. If you can overcome the inaccurate mindset that Chinese cars are seriously deficient, poor quality and unsafe you can save a small fortune and find yourself behind the wheel of a very nice car. In my opinion, Chinese made cars are the future in Australia and probably in the rest of the world as well. In this review I want to cover the things that are important to the average punter. I am no car expert and I hope to give you a clear idea about how this car can or can't fit into your family. The build quality, fit, finish and engineering are at least as good as any product from South Korean, US, European or Japanese manufacturers that are intended for mainstream consumers. Those with a bias against Chinese cars should remember that most of the components in their preferred car brands are almost certainly made in China! For example the Haval H2 has a Chinese made licenced Bosch branded braking system which I’m quite sure would be in many cars. Ok so enough of that and on to the car. Styling is subjective so if the H2 doesn't look like something you could live with it's probably pointless reading further. Obviously it looks fine to me because I bought it. You must make your own decision on this.

I love it!
I love my new car! I use it everyday when travelling to work or for just a drive around. I’ve got it for a month now and I haven’t got any problems

Awesome car, never had anything with so many features. It’s great to drive, enjoyable and smooth and quiet
I use the car everyday for school pick ups and drop offs, doing the shopping and driving a distance to work. The headlights are great at night, and I am enjoying the automatic lights and wipers. It’s also a bit of fun with the push button start and just putting your hand on the door handle to unlock the car.

Purchased in January 2017.
Great car for my wife and I
I've read some of the reviews with a negative report such as turbo Lag gear changing problems the satnav being to slow.
All we can say about this car is that if its driven like a racing car than you could get some problems, but if driven as a normal than you will find it extremely pleasant.
Don’t buy this car
So far our experience i as follows;
3 replacement turbos
Engine mount issues
Loss of power
Missing engine nuts
After care service is extremely unprofessional and cowboy like attitude. Haval don’t care about the safety of there customers , nor do they want to do anything about a brand new car with so many issues.
My advise is ...
Amazing Amazing Amazing
Absolutely Amazing Car. All the perks of a modern SUV runs so well excellent on fuel budget worthy payments budget worthy services. Very happy. Spent $30000 less than intended. Highly recommended for families singles couples. Awesome range of sizes and colours. Fantastic warranty and worth getting the extras for a small cost .
Damn good suv
I looked around alot of suvs and brought an H2 Haval lux as my wife and l found it comfortable to drive and handles damn well in the hills. Plenty of extras in suv eg electric drivers seat, heated front seats, GPS, disc player, sub connections good wireless plenty of volume, more extras to many to write. Fuel around local driving 7.5 to 8.0 depends on conditions, long trips. Pakenham to Merimberla and return 6.9 to 7.6 using 95 petrol, Pakenham Yarrawonga and back 7.5 down to 6.9 suv has done 12000 ks and is just running in handles well in co...rnets as car weighs nearly 2 tonnes so it sits well on rds in all conditions l feel it is a little under powered but it suits my wife and my self. Car is front wheel drive only l gave mountain driving away years ago l don't pull a 4by 4 Trailer Suv is priced just you need to really push for a good prize this suv is new to this country and will do well once they do their own selling not let other car makers sell them don't be afraid to try some thing new and please ask me questions about the havel H2LUX if you need a bigger car the H6, H7, H8, or the big one H9. September 231st 2017 Update: Extra commentates on HavelH2 Havel cars are new to Aust l took a chance with model for a number of reasons and in my last review not couldn't get them all in . So here goes 1 the look.of the suv to me great , 2. 5year warranty . 3 to what it came with sun roof, red Colered brake calepers green Windows side, and back hutch door, 18inch tyres , full 18 inch spare tyre,4. With the H2Lux, electric drivers seat push of a button it ajusts to your seating comfort . 5 . Heated seats drivers side , pansenger front seat, 6. Dual temp control lit works well for us eg wife can set her side at a temp so can driver . Plus most of all cost of car when l brought it plus agood trade in . The negatives well all makes of cars have negatives against them but this H2Lux Suits my wife and l it will be my last car so it's got to last at least 7years plus l don't care about trade in prizes as all cars these days are throw away cars or used as spare part market Yours truly Tex November 6th 2017 Update: A good average size suv Driving my H2lux suv is a very satisfying experience, for me and my wife it handles perfectly on all rd conditions specially in wet conditions, easy to park using the camera built in to the left hand side rear vision Mirror just buy pushing a button on the steering wheel, sun.roof , Gpsjust perfect . CD player, wireless, all electric windows ,leather seats , tyre temp, plus tyre pressures gauges trip metre, fuel consumption, many many more extras in suv we have done 13500 ks lbrought it 31/1/17 for us a retired couple the suv suits us when the grand kids are in it they love it . Back seats fold down for extra room , this suv will sell well . It would be a good second car for running around city’s or shopping centres or for us older pensioners.its easy to get in and out believe me . Electric opperated drivers seat both front seats are fitted with heating system, long drives are a dream in this suv. Negatives needs more boot room , has to use 95 fuel , abit noisey when tyres are cold when they warm up ride improves Adam lot . Very slow on take of when motor is cold , when motor gets up to operation temp look out turbo hooks in and hang on this is a problem Havel need to look into time will tell for the prize l paid for suv after trade in suv is well worth a look at . For a China suv it’s up their with the rest of the suvs in H2lux range. Proud owner of this suv. Tex Ps fuel consumption long runs 7,2 to 6.8 local 7.2 up to 7.8 depends on your driving habits ,and traffic conditions
The Haval...have it all!
The Haval H2. Here is an interesting one. Firstly I read reviews carried out in 2016....(pictures of some reviewers, they look very young, so.....). No surprise, highly suspicious and critical of this "how dare they" Chinese brand, giving it a 4/10. Then I bought a Chinese little commuter motorcycle. It has provided a faultless over 12 500 Kms of very economical commuting and finish wise, still looks new. So when the wife's 2000 KIA Rio hatch (remember the suspicion when KIA first came out?) had moved on past its use by date, I decided to look ...at the Haval H2. Firstly the paint finish and build quality, are as good if not better, than any Japanese or in fact, to me, European car out there, certainly in this price range. I drove it, same result. Yes the engine isn't going to get you invites to local drag racing events....around town will the wife notice....don't think so! She will be far more impressed with the electrically adjusted, lumbar support adjustable, heated leatherette seat, for when her back is a bit sore after a days teaching.... The Haval Lux model, at $24990, its a LOT of car for the money, with more bells and whistles then you could reasonably expect. Auto wipers, lights, folding large mirrors, climate control aircon, the list is long. The cruise control steering wheel controls are very user friendly. Interior room is more than satisfactory. Good rear leg room. Boot is on the shallow side, but the trade off is, you get a full size spare alloy wheel and easy to get to. As mentioned, driving dynamics to me are as good as any mainstream product with no squeaks or rattles. You sit nice and high. Rear view is not great, but again this is compensated for by a reverse camera and a left wing mirror camera to avoid scraping those lovely alloy wheels on the curb! Interestingly enough, as for 2017 road reviews....now they are giving it a 6/10! Suddenly it's a case of "actually the Haval is pretty good...." the H9 was voted the number 3 4X4 of the year, by Aus 4X4 magazine....No, the H2 is not perfect, fuel consumption is higher than ideal for example but we will see. Basically the overall package I thought, is good enough for me, so buying one this Saturday and will update this review as we live with the car. After all, my i Pad was made in China....so is almost everything in the house!!
