Haymes PaveShield Satin

I’ve been painting everything in a non professional roll for about 40 years now. Houses, cars, large buildings and small. Pools and decks, motors and just about anything else that can be painted.. one thing I have learnt over the years is that solvent based paints are so much more of a pain to paint with, especially the clean up process.. Couple of days ago I bought some of Haymes paveshield paint and solvent “xylene based” and I’ve never used a paint that was so difficult to apply.. I followed the ambient temperature advice so it was the perfect day to begin, the first coat was no problem but a few hours later it is a nightmare to apply. Impossible to lay off even though it appears pretty well cured, it starts dissolving instantly on contact with another coat. The roller starts streaming off what looks like spider webs and sticks all over making it impossible to lay off and finish, battling with frustration and finishing off that coat. I thought it best to let it cure for a good 48 hours, still no joy as it did exactly the same again. I will now leave it for a few weeks as it’s in need of a fourth coat because it looks awful and patchy.. Anyway I wouldn’t recommend this paint unless your professional, I thought I knew paints pretty well but obviously I was wrong.. cheers
