chases, I still haven't received a response after 6 weeks, they now leave me no option but to contact the Ombudsman and have the investigated:
'So why exactly did it take you so long to confirm the rate to me? if you had confirmed this on the day that the renewal took place (as other banks do), I would have had 7 days to decide on how to proceed - your negligence in doing this has stopped me from making a choice!
Please reconsider your decision again or you leave me no choice but to have you investigated and, of course, share my very negative experience with social media / friends / colleagues / family and absolutely everyone else I can reach out too!"
Very Poor Customer Service, and big mistake made by them causing me grief with the ATO. I had a Joint Term Deposit with Heartland Bank for 2 years. am subjected to a lot more tax. I phoned Heartland on 2 occasions, and no one has fixed it, have sent emails and complaints, and all I get is silence, not even an acknowledgment from the that they received the email. Stay away and put your money elsewhere. Would give 0 starts if it was an option.
Very happy with the service and support that I have received from this bank. I would have awarded 5 stars if they used Osko or a similar fast payment platform. Their in-house process for verifying accounts also seems to be lacking.

the pm. they paid me my interest payment in less than an hour but Im still waiting for the princible to be paid out, I will contact again on the 27th01/2026 , if no satisfaction then the ombudsman then a call to APRA and FCS to chase my money, if you desire to invest with Heartland think twice m I wonder now why they changed their name from challenger bank to Heartland, definitely no heart there , 2 stressfull nights [ lack of sleep] and 2 more to come until contact is made wondering have they misappropriated my funds , an automatic reponse to an email, first and last time more me , I wonder how the woman who told me bare faced lies sleeps at night ?, it took 6 days to transfer my money, after contacting the Vic Police I followed their instructions, rang APRA rang FCS they all told me the same, they transfered the money , the money was not received its still there responsability, rang the AFP cyber crime unit same reply, rang Heartland on the Wednsday, told them what I had to do , I had to call into the local police station to make a statement for the cyber crime and fraud squad , my own bank did a search and no money had been received, 1 hour later th bank manager rang me and said your money has been deposited in your account, go figure 1 hour, if they can transfer my interest payment on the friday wht coulnt the do the same with the balance, reason being the longer they control your funds they make money, now Judo bank were 1 day late with my deposit instructions, they paid me 1 days interest, Heartland were 6 days late what did they give me, SFA, thats the difference between a Bank with morals and integrity to a bank that does not, bank with Heartland think twice people you dont need the stress

Tried to use them for savings but ended up canceling the account in the end. No PayID support at all and no plans to add it in the future. Was asked same set of questions again in an email the next day after opening the account about why the account was opened and expected income etc. Needed to send a PDF form a back to them via email in order to close the account which could not be done on the phone or in the online portal or mobile app.
Great interest rate on a short term deposit.So easy to set up account online in 10 minutes unlike Ing for example . Show details

Poor....soooooo poor – It is impossible to get in contact with them. I called 3 times and was stuck in a queue for hours with the same music torturing me and the canned recordings about how much they value me...up to 35 minutes this time. Their website and app deletes all record of term deposits after they mature. One of mine matured today and they haven't deposited… Read more
the money into my account and there is no record on the app or website! Follow up: mid afternoon the money was transferred so that's something BUT none of the promised call backs ever happened, nor did I get any email response from them!
