Don't trust this mechanic – In June 2016 Hi-Tech Mechanical installed a new timing belt in my car. Yesterday (Sept 2022) when I had the engine removed to repair some oil leaks, I was shown damage which was done to the cam shafts when the timing belt was replaced. replacing the cam shafts will cost another $1,000 minimum. The mechanic who was trying to repair the oil leaks yesterday, is well respected expert in the model and type of car that I drive and has informed me the only way the cam shafts could have been damaged in the way they have been is someone who has no idea what they are doing.

Above and beyond – Garry is an Angel, I called early Friday morning on my way through Sydney as my VW transporter was having power issues. Garry was on Christmas break and wouldn’t be open till Monday yet he met me at Hitech to see if he could diagnose the issue. Hopefully clean sailing ahead.

But enter another make such as- Volvo repair sydney and sure enough- UP THEY COME and their website states- INDEPENDENT VOLVO MECHANICAL REPAIRS & ELECTRICAL SERVICES or try chrysler repair sydney and sure enough you get- INDEPENDENT CHRYSLER MECHANICAL REPAIRS & ELECTRICAL SERVICES and they go on to state- "At Hitech Auto Electrical and Mechanical Service, we are one of Sydney’s leading Independent Chrysler service and repair specialist. Our brand new state of the art workshop utilizes the latest servicing and diagnostic facilities for any Chrysler car. All our work is carried out by our highly skilled and trained technicians, in accordance with Chrysler’s servicing schedules..." IT WAS BECAUSE MY CAR'S MAKE CAME UP ON the Google search and then on THEIR WEBSITE (as the above makes do) that I decided to ring them- I genuinely thought they were specialists in repairs to my car brand........ Sounds like a bit of a con job to me!

2. I rang them, got a rather surly receptionist, gave a quick summary of my car and what I was wantring to have done- was told someone would ring me back- I asked - who/ She said 1 of my bosses or me- DID ANYONE RING BACK? NO.

Not promising from an outfit that claim to be specialists in almost every car make known to man! I won't be contacting them again- will you?

Terrible untrustworthy – Took one car in for a service / roadworthy and was told I needed to spend 1500. I agreed and trusted they were honest. Then revived another $400 to Finnish the job. Then brought my second car in and recieved the same shifty behaviour so I took it else where and this mechanic looked at the car and the list and said I didn’t need any of the work done that had been stated, which was $2000! So don’t trust them

Five years of taking my car to Hi-Tech and I couldn’t be happier – As a female who really has no interest in anything other than whether my car is safe or not, I have always felt nervous of car mechanics. With Hi-Tech I am completely comfortable. They don’t look to find extra, unnecessary things, are never patronising and good value.

I purchased $69 for full service change oil, car washing and tires balance and alignment. However, I brought my car to them on 6 Aug 18 at 12.00 pm and they told me it needs a few hours to finish. I told them ok I will go and come back early morning tomorrow on 7th Aug. I am surprised when I came from early morning until 10.00 am I didn't take my car and they said the mechanical is late and we don't know what he did with your car. When I took my car they didn't even change the oil, no wash and the steering still not aligned. When I go to man in reception with the oil bar which shows the oil is old and didn't replaced the man told me we didn't do the job because you are in a hurry. I told him I brought the car from yesterday 6 Aug and today I have to receive my car from early morning. In fact those people looted me and I will complain them to police and I have all evidences.

Do not get scammed – Unprofessional dishonest and bad workmanship. If you dont believe this review I suggest you read google reviews, facebook reviews, true local business reviews. This business owner has no morals. Groupon voucher is a scam. Repairs were agreed upon and quoted. Nick the owner lied on what was agreed upon with the repairs and denied conversation took place.

Fast and reliable service will be back! – Had my air conditioner re-gassed in and out in an hour, great customer service have no problem at all coming back cheers

Superior attention to detail – Hi Tech serviced my car and air con and found so many faults with the car that included unsafe tyres and brakes. And I didn't know. As a single woman I trust that I received full disclosure and immediate repair with a bill that was very reasonable. I can rest assured that I am driving in a safe reliable vehicle again. It drives like a dream

Not recommended, never come back! – Bought a voucher on Groupon (should've looked them up before buying), states lots of things in the voucher but they didn't do during the service. Sneakily charged extra for oil ($80), try to convince me that lots of things were wrong with my car and try to replace parts for $1600! Complained with Groupon, and highly recommend people to look reviews before purchasing this!!

GROUPON - HI TECH AUTOMOTIVE $29 Service is a Scam - Never buy – I bought this $29 service through Groupon last year. At the time of booking the service they ask $80 for engine oil. After complaining to GROPON they never replied. Luckily I paid through paypal, they refunded my money.
