High School Tutors

I have paid my subscription, sent messages to numerous tutors in our area and had not one reply. Having read the other reviews I am convinced this is nothing more than a scam

I pay up and message this tutor who merely responds to my enquiry by asking where I'm located. I reply with our suburb which is adjacent to her advertised location Dee Why (& well within her claimed service area of 'surrounding Northern Beaches'). However, the response is an immediate dismissal based solely on the location, citing she 'won't be able to help'. Such time-wasting nonsense.

June 2025 update: 'High School Tutors' is a subsidiary business of a marketing firm called "Student Services Australia" in Surrey Hills. In contacting them about their terrible service at support@studentservices.com.au, I at least elicited a response and a refund, albeit begrudgingly ('In this instance we will refund'). They did not apologise for the inconvenience and failure of their product, and the above-mentioned listing with misleading advertising remains.

SCAM!! subscription wasted. No one replied after 5 days after numerous attempts to contact.

Don't waste your money – Reached out to three tutors in our area after signing up for the $24.95 subscription - one ghosted us and the other two didn't even bother responding. A waste of $24.95. waste of time and money. Do not subscribe. Better off trying to find a tutor through your school or friends. Luckily we paid via PayPal and they refunded the subscription. I never heard back from the administrators of highschooltutors.com.au.

Reasonably priced, quality tutoring – We found a maths/biology tutor really quickly for our son who is in Year 11. The tutor is punctual, polite and very patient. Our son is feeling more confident with his abilities.

Good platform – Very satisfied - I was able to find a good English tutor for my son. I understand that others had trouble finding tutors but in my area there were many good and supportive tutors.

This is a scam – I joined this website last month hoping to find a tutor to help my son with his subjects. I have messaged more than 10 times, no response. This is scam.

Don’t waste your Money! – Absolute waste of money. Reached out to many tutors for face to face tutoring and no one replied. Absolute waste of time and money. Went with a different company who went above and beyond to find the best tutor for us. Definitely don’t bother with this website!!

never get caught by them – It is just a waste of money for subscription. I never received a valid response from tutors. Not even a star worth for me. I wish there were some reviews I could find before commit, so I won't waste my time and money. I hope this will help someone.
