Hipod Rio

Affordable price product – It is affordable price product compared to other brands. Easy to install, safe while driving, comfortable for my 4 years kid. Not heavy so you can carry and move if needed. The only drawback is that the seat lining is not very thick if compared to other brands or models, but considering its price I am satisfied with its quality.
Purchased in at Target Australia for $69.
Perfect, easy to use, folds up and safe – We love our hipod rio carseat, it is light weight and super convenient to use, folds up easily to keep in the boot when not using. It is great value for the price. Love the pink colour too. We will get another one for our younger child. Great to use when you need to drive friends kids.
Couldn't wait to move to this type of seat – Such an easy car seat to use, we can't wait until our youngest child moves into one. Very light weight and doesn't take up much room in the back when not in use. Very easy to set up and haven't had any complaints of it being too hard on any trips.
Great to travel with and relatively safe – The job of a car seat is to keep the belt safely for the child irrespective of bendiness. This is what is does. Ok it is flimsy but the belt is held in the right position and CREP has given it 3 stars same as some very solid looking seats like Safe-N-Sound Encore 10 Series 4900/A/2010 which cost $350. I only use mine for travel overseas like CHINA (they make them but try getting one) and its perfect as it weighs about 1 kg and can fit in a suit case if need be. Something is better than nothing BUT having said that my main one for au is 5 star rated but my child has outgrown it so will have to get the $350 one anyways and then im back to the 3 star rating which is just like the hipod Rio.
Flimsy, bendy and perhaps unsound – The Hipod Rio booster seat seems flimsy, bendy and perhaps unsound. The side wings can be bent and twisted with only a little pressure, and a seatbelt clip that changes the position of the seatbelt seems flimsy and perhaps unsound. I'm surprised by the poor quality, as I own a Hipod Boston booster seat that is very sturdy and has a high safety rating (see Child Restraint Evaluation Program (CREP)). One word - fail.
