Fraudsters! Everyone beware! Dodgey as they come! – They promised a first month trial run for $14 and then I was charged $115 for the first and then they continued to charge me fees for no reason even though I called them and emailed them to stop. Show details

If you are a business this is a terrible service and expensive!! – We are a business and this is the worst and most expensive platform to use compared to others on the market. We were mislead as it states you can create a free business profile. I called straight away and spoke with them about this indicating I was simply trying to create a free profile and didn't want to join and it wasn't advertised well that I would be charged a monthly membership fee. The guy on the phone understood what I was saying and actually stated they had other people calling about this same thing and that it is not clear. He tried to give me a refund but it was denied by his team leader.

The team leader then tried to tell me I was on a free monthly trial. I said I have received no information about this free trial and if I was why haven't I received any leads??

He couldn't answered my questions and wasn't interested at all. The team leader would not refund me the money even though ! didn't authorise it.

It's a scam and would avoid.

The cheapest of them all – I’m a painter and have used all of these types of services. They all have lots of leads where the customer is simply uncontactable or are not interested. That hurts when you pay $30+ for the lead. I pay $8 lead at Hiretrades....so my costs make it worth pursuing them. The leads are not plentiful. But they are getting better each month. Poor Customer Service! Not Reccomeneded – Not recommended! Unimpressed with their customer service. Avoiding signing up with this platform as return of investment has been poor in my case. I only recieved one lead in 6 months and I was not refunded the money which I had paid ahead upon cancellation of the membership. Show details

More jobs listed – Been with hiretrades for 6 months now. It was really poor to start with as it has no job listings. I stuck with as $8/month was not a lot. Glad I did as now there is a steady trickle of work. No where near as much as other sites but at a fraction of the cost I can see their presence growing. Show details ·  1

got an electrician inside of 10 minutes – We had a loss of power over the weekend and needed an emergency callout. Darren, a local sparky was on to it and sorted out our RCD issues in 30 minutes. I was super happy to get a sparky, not so happy with $300 for 30 minutes on-site. I know Hiretrades don't employ the tradie so I am otherwise happy with the service. Show details ·  1

Efficient – Quick and easy. I needed someone to clean my windows and some garden maintenance - at my rental. App was really easy and the handymen that quoted the job knew their stuff. Pricing varied and we took the second lowest price. I'm traveling interstate and would have found this difficult otherwise. I'll use hiretrades again. Show details ·  1

How can they get away with this – Received an unsolicited email. Email quite clearly indicated that they have subscribed me to their system without my consent. It appears that Sensis (Yellow Pages) have sold my data to a marketing company based in Perth retained by this Hong Kong based company. Again without my consent. Their activity doesnt instil any confidence in their operation and makes me sure I will never use them. Show details

Good for finding work – I'm a gardener who uses these sorts of platforms for most of my work. Hiretrades is the cheapest, with no real jobs and not many others pricing. They don't punch out as many jobs as hipages but there costs are less than 25%. Thumbs up! Show details

Can’t fault it – I contacted hiretrades re a recent plumbing job. I was connected promptly with appropriate and competitive services, and was able to resolve my issue within the day. The processes were very clear, would absolutely use again! Show details

Illegally drawing money from account – I registered with Hire Trades, believing it was free to do so. Since then they have drawn from my account twice without authority to do so. The Company web page seems to have disappeared from the Internet, so to anyone thinking of signing up, be warned. I am not sure I know how they even got my bank account details. Show details

Bad service – I’m a trades person I was trying to register it was impossible to register did the online fill out they never got back to me and when they did finally ring me back to complete my registration they left an abusive voice mail message in my phone I still tried 10 times after that to call them is this service a real thing Show details

Illegally access your bank accounts – As a contractor,i advertised for work with this company They have continuously withdrawn funds from my bank account without authority I have had to initiate VCAT proceedings to stop this action

Unsolicited emails – If I could give zero stars I would. Constant requests to be removed from your daily mailing list go unheeded, negative feedback on your own website suggested I use your contact us page, guess what, it doesn't work. This is nothing short of harassment and needs to stop now

Unethical business – These shonky people are spammers who harvest email addresses from websites and then send out their spam three times/week. You can't even contact them on their website because their contact form doesn't work.

This is so convenient – I used HIRE trades for a recent grouting job. The HIRE trades service could not be faulted - was quick, easy and convenient. It linked me to competitive quotes, with credible trades people - this is unlike some experiences I've had using other websites. Highly recommend this service.

Hired a handyman from hiretrades.com.au – A close friend recommended Hiretrades. This was the first time I had used them. The service was free and Bill did a great job fixing my door. I didn't realise how easy the internet made it for me to get help. I will be using Hiretrades again.
