Quoting took minutes, communication was excellent, and the team were genuinely calm and lovely. I’ve done seven moves in ten years and this was the first one I actually enjoyed. 10/10.

They provide you cheaper quotes at first and we have to deal with another removalist which is fragile removalist.They will charge you extra $$$ whatever they asked if not, they will tell your goods delivery wont be on time. Be aware [Content Removed] takes your half an hour for conversation with no effective solution. Very poor communication service. Total scam

The operator for muval was quick to take a deposit, but then put a comment in the notes that led the removal company to think the job was too big. Muval requested a photo of everything in my storage to show them. My storage is in another city. A detailed inventory had been provided. Waste of time.

Bree from muval was absolutely fantastic to work with, so so incredibly helpful with a very stressful and new experience of moving from Sydney to Cairns so very long distance! Moving approx 2 bedrooms plus kitchen and lounge etc. She gave us such good advice, kept us up to date and was able to help us navigate the whole thing with absolute ease. I did not proceed with or receive the service, and my chargeback was resolved accordingly.
I recommend documenting all communication (calls and emails) so there is a clear record of what is promised.

Confirmed my booking on Sunday for the following Saturday. Heard from my “agent” on Tuesday who told me they were waiting for removalists to confirm. I had to follow up on Thursday- less than 48 hours before move because I still had no confirmation. higher price and could only do Sunday. Not ideal but with such short notice I was stuck with them. Finally confirmed a removalist on Thursday night with an email advising they would there between 8 and 10 with a call half hour before. By 10am no phone call, nobody showed and I had no phone number that I could contact that morning to find out what was going on. 2 guys finally showed at 11am with no prior call. The truck they brought was not big enough so it required 2 trips and therefore cost me more. I wouldn’t recommend Muval as a service - I felt abandoned and was so angry on the day. I suggest you look for recommendations from your community because they’ll be more reliable and you’ll be able to connect with them directly.

weeks leading up to it). But setting the team up for success with empty/taped furniture made it work smoothyl.
Communication was pretty clear. Initially we were told a 8am arrival time, but received a message on the morning of the move that it would actually be 8:30am. Then a further 15-minute detour for coffee. The truck arrived at 8:45am, and I was nervous this would delay our moving times. But we weren't charged for this delay, and the boys made up lost time pretty quickly.
Head office has also told me we'd have a medium truck, and space would be quite tight by their estimates. But when the truck arrived, it was actually the biggest model in the fleet — so we had plenty of space (due to the next job requiring the largest truck). Again, we weren't charged for the upsize — just a small logistics problem of getting in and out of our standard sized driveways with the height of the truck. But the boys tackled it smoothly, and it didn't detract from the work.
