Reliable! – I was on a budget when I needed a new fridge, so I bought this 4 years ago when I moved into a rental. This was roughly the same price as a used high end fridge, but I figured I was better off with a new entry level brand. I was right, as the past 4 years have been completely trouble free as the fridge has operated exactly as expected. It’s hard… Read more

to write this sort of review, as the fridge has simply done exactly what I need it to do- no frills, no fuss!

My only issue is that it is VERY heavy, so the one time that I had to move it was a brutal experience.

I would definitely recommend this to a friend!

Not a good quality – We purchased this fridge two years ago, the light burned just a few weeks after purchase, I've lost everything in it, the fridge stopped keeping my food cold, all my food was warm. I called because we purchased a 4 year extended warranty, a technician came and told us it was the ventilator that is not working anymore, it takes 5 to 10 business… Read more

Too expensive to only last 3.5 years – I loved the design and functions of the fridge freezer until the fridge section suddenly stoped working at only 3.5 years since purchased and used in clean stable environment. Hisense original contact offered to pay for parts if I paid labour and gave details of nearest repair people who unfortunately are one hour away from my town and only… Read more

visit the town one day a week ( not the repair company’s fault but highlights issues with waiting for repairs and living without a fridge for over two weeks in Australia summertime). However follow up call informed me I have to pay full for all repairs. I have had fridge checked and been informed it could be the motherboard that needs replacing. This will be is an expensive repair and I’m debating whether to cut losses and purchase another fridge ( not a HiSense rubbish one that only lasts a bit past 3 years) a fridge should last at least 10 years!! All my previous other brand ones did -any other thoughts are welcome

Short lifespan Do not buy – We have had our fridge for almost 4 years now. We bought an extended warranty at the time and sadly have now had to use it. The fridge has stopped cooling, whilst the freezer stays on. A Service guy has been sent out three times and replaced three different parts and still this fridge does not work. They have no idea how to fix it. Did notice all… Read more

parts are plastic cheap looking chinese rubbish. Looks like alot of us have had same issue re fridge not working too. Perhaps Hisense should be held accountable for making chuck away appliances!.

Seems like it's just a Cheaply made fridge and we have lost alot of food and medications also. We wll be taking this further and never buying a Hisense fridge again!.

January 9th 2019 Update: Short lifespan Fridge undiagnosable problems

Hisense rubbish cheap and when there is a problem it's a guessing game. After 3 major parts replaced and the fridge still not cooling, finally got a replacement in a different brand. It was a decent fridge until 3 years passed and the service people had no idea how to fix it. Cheap rubbish, fridges should last more than 3 years! These makers should be made to make reliable products not cheap crap that ends up adding to landfill after a very short lifespan.

A haven for mice – We have had this fridge for 3 months and have no complaints re its setup or working. Our beef is that the lower rear section is open and has been a haven for mice. The stench is unbelievable despite washing as much as we can around the open area. Cannot believe in this day and age that fridges are not closed in. Our last fridge, a Samsung, was closed in and never any issues.  Show details

Love this – I got a new fridge due to needing a bigger freezer and could not be happier with this. Lots of space, quite, and easy to clean makes life that little bit simpler. Would recommend to anyone who wants a sleek design, lots of space inside but also wanting an item that's not overly bulky  Show details

Very Happy With This Fridge – I really like the design and general lay out of this fridge. my favorite part it that the freezer is down the bottom (where it should be) and the food is at browsing height! Why aren't all fridges like this? The silver looks great in our kitchen and doesn't seem to collect fingerprints as much as some other appliances (looking at YOU toaster).… Read more

It's as quiet as a mouse running and gets good efficiency despite its generous size. We have had no problems (touch wood) and are very happy wit it.

Can't recommend it – Have had this fridge for about 4 years and we've had problems. Probably the worst was that the stainless steel clear coat started to de-laminate on the outer door surface, causing a cracked, unsightly look. This fridge was only ever in an indoor kitchen with no sunlight on it, so its odd that it would have done that. Other problems were… Read more

consistent - as others have mentioned, this fridge freezes food in the fridge section if it is toward the back. We found that keeping food away from the side walls helped (maybe letting air circulate better?) but it did still froze food. Other more minor things were cracking of the molded plastic interior - for example, the wire at the top of the door shelf gradually wore its way through the plastic housing (as things like milk containers were removed and returned, brushing against the wire), making it hang loosely then fall out. The fridge also consistently makes a hiss-drip sound, though a repair technician said that is "normal" for this model.

When we buy a new fridge (sooner than I had hoped...) I guess we will be going with a big-name brand. This gamble on what the salesperson told us was an "up and coming" brand didn't pay off.

Value for Money – Its been around a year, there hasn't been any problem. With the size of the fridge and functionality, price was really good. Only downside for me is Freezer Section and which seems small and Ice tray which are not that good producing ice. Overall, its a good fridge for its value.  Show details

Very good product! – Brought mine for the family roughly 2 months ago. Very good product. Very spacious and has a lot of compartments to store food. Downside is that there is no light in the bottom freezer and ice tray seems like its gonna break. I do like the alarm system and controls on the front of the fridge. Fridge is clean looking and I do like that the freezer has drawers (unlike my old fridge).  Show details

Does the job – I purchased this fridge 2 months ago, haven’t had any problems. Lots of compartments for different sized items, the ice trays are set over an ice drawer- a necessary brilliance. Hard to find! – We decided to go with this model of Hisense because we had heard great things on the brand! Purchasing whitegoods from other suppliers and avoid Harvey Norman Bundall – Purchase the unit from JB-Hifi and have been happy with the salesperson, the competitive price given, service, delivery and installation. Highly recommend this fridge for its price!! – Purchased this fridge for my holiday home & had a $1000 budget. Picked this one up for around this amount as it was on sale. requires a bit of adjusting. This is a stylish looking refrigerator and suits our newly renovates kitchen perfectly. I love the durable handle and self closing door. Love the facility to set the fridge to 'holiday' mode to save on running costs. Seems to cool efficiently - my husband is a refrigerator mechanic and is very particular. All in all - a great, stylish & efficient fridge. Only negative would be the energy rating is lower than some competitors and the door compartment is slightly poky.

Terrible! – Do not buy this fridge! Its terrible! I've had this fridge for less then 6 months and the fridge does not cool. After replacing it he instructed to leave the fridge off for a couple of hours… Read more

then switch it back on. Turned the fridge on after a couple of hours later and fridge compartment is still not cooling. I will be in contact with the provider of this product and demanding a refund. Do not buy this fridge. From other reviews I have read on here others have had the same issue. To replace the circuit board after initial replacement is $227, the call out is $125 add onto that the labour = more trouble then what its worth.

Save yourself the trouble and buy a trusted brand appliance. I decided to give Hisense a go.. a decision I regret now. Would not touch this Hisense fridge with a 10ft pole!

Hisense HR6BMFF435S – First ever fridge that we have purchased. This fridge has performed well. I would recommend this fridge to others.
