No big issues but – January 2022, our 4 1/2-star side-by-side fridge had to be replaced as the fridge-side door had warped. We purchased this Hisense 6-star fridge in black and have a three issues with its design. 1. The freezer has no light. This is a very minor issue for us. 2. The fridge door has to be opened almost fully to allow access to the crisper. And this… Read more

door and the freezer door are very wide. Again a very minor issue. 3. The back of the interior of the fridge is not flat. I guess to allow airflow throughout. However, this ridge down the centre of the back of thee fridge acts as a pivot point for the glass shelving. On more than one occassion we have found one shelf to be only just sitting on the little bracket on one side. The shelf could have fallen onto the shelf below and we would have had a big mess inside the fridge. I have fixed it by putting a number of self-adhesive wedges (Bunnings have them for around $5) around the interior so the shelf cannot twist as much. All Hisense need to do to prevent shelves falling is make the brackets jut out more, cut the glass shelves a bit wider or make the back corners more rounded to lessen the pivoting. Other reviewers comment about noise but we haven't had that issue. Others comment about the basic fit-out inside. Yes, that's true but we bought some containers designed for fridges from K-Mart to organise things how we want. So the basic fit-out has become an advantage

AVOID: Basic fridge broke after 5 months – I didn't notice any of the noise issue other reviewers did and was relatively happy with this unit. I bought it because it had a water tank for chilled water which is set so low that you can't store much below it and it very fiddling to refill. And because is had a built in ice tray which is slightly more fiddly to fill without creating a pool… Read more

of water in the floor, and empty.

Fridge worked fine for 5 months but the fridge section has literally stopped working with air no circulating in the middle of a Sydney summer. I've lost $100s in food.

The fridge also has not temperature alarm so the first I knew was that the milk had curdled.

Not impressed. Waiting for Good Guys Tempe to contact me regarding repair but hoping for a replacement.

8 months old very happy – Bought from Harvey Norman Lithgow Future intention is on an off grid property I’ve tested energy consumption and it’s coming out better than the stated KWh. But is in a single household. Will be easy to run on solar. Only criticisms the door needs to swing fully open to get trays out. No light in freezer. Plus is, it’s very quiet and very well… Read more

set out with fridge freezer space No problems at all so far Highly recommend it’s a great fridge and perfect for my off grid. Would think as a family very economical fridge to run.

Perfect – Had this fridge for about 13 months, but moving overseas so unfortunately I have to get rid of it. In this time it operated PERFECTLY. Not only does it looks stylish in my apartment, it holds a large volume of food and did a great job of keeping refridgerated/frozen items at the right temperature. I never noticed any noise either. I would buy this fridge again. Only downside is I thought the ice tray was a bit too flimsy and hard to refill. Show details

never buy hisense appliances – I bought the fridge 2 months ago and noticed the food in the fridge was freezing and there was ice on the back wall of it. I turned down the temperature and there was condensation on the back wall. Then I noticed the fridge door was ajar often...that was because every time I closed to freezer, the fridge door popped open! Customer service is… Read more

appalling. They are rude and obviously do not care about solving your issues. It took one month for a technician to come and repair the oven door handle and another month for a technician to come out for the fridge repair, and guess what? The dishwasher does not work either! The door pops open 3 minutes into the cycle and I have used it 4 times! It does not wash or dry the dishes well, even using their recommended detergent and an additive to help remove spots.

I would love to get rid of these appliances but The Brick would only do that within the first month and Hisense says they will have a technician repair the products. The technician is currently here and there is no repair in sight.

Do not buy any hisense appliances.....Worst purchases of my life!!!

a brand new fridge and yet not working – Fridge inside temperature is way too high: butter becoming soft, dairy products are no good to keep after 2 days! Zero customer services from the Good Guys in Cairns and appalling services! Show details

Not a quiet fridge. Constant groaning and creaking that is slowly driving us crazy – While the fridge and freezer compartments are a good size and maintain a reliable and good temperature, the constant groaning/creaking running noise from day one was a real let down. Contacted Hisense within a week of purchase, who indicated they would refer our enquiry to a technician but we never received any further contact from them. I believe we have bought a lemon and are now stuck with it. Very regretful that we went with Hisense now. Show details

Very average fridge lacking basic things – Bought the new Hisense fridge around 3 weeks back and already can see difference between my spare fridge (Samsung) which is 10 years old and the new one. I was surprised that some of the basic things that you won't even consider while buying a fridge were not there. * Missing ice bucket, so if you turn the ice tray the whole freezer drawer gets… Read more

filled with ice cube. * The freezer doesn't have any light so pretty much you have to search for things in dark * Very noisy when the compressor turns on * The quality of plastic drawers and fittings seems pretty cheap.

All in all pretty poor experience, asked the technician regarding these issues but he mentioned these concerns are nothing compared to other brands. I was hoping rather than pointing defects in other models, Hisense should focus on their products.

Good sized fridge and keeps those summer beverages icy cold without freezing the veggies – Good well spaced fridge with plenty of config options and door space. Freezer on the bottom makes more sense when the majority of the daily usage is from the fridge. The ice tray mechanism uses torsion to dispense the ice cubes and could be more strongly manufactured. This component broke and after an initially poor customer service experience… Read more ·  5

where it was classified as not being included in the warranty, Jasmine agreed to replace the component without cost. The rest of the fridge/freezer is great and the only recommendation to Hisense is to use sturdier construction on the only component that is under stress. $20 of extra plastic would make all the difference without compromising the cost effectiveness of the product or market competitiveness.

Okay for price, but has caused me multiple issues and makes loud noises – I have been using this fridge for just under 3 months now. I had to return the first one I received as a DOA because it was making a constant rapid clicking/whirring noise that was audible from the other side of the room. I posted up a question on Product Review (Check Q&A section on this listing, 2 months ago) but this wasn’t answered. I… Read more

eventually contacted Hisense phone support, who suggested I contact the store to return it.

The replacement fridge I received (which I've had for 2 months now) makes a similar noise, but it's not as loud so I've tried my best to ignore it. However, the replacement has had other problems. When sliding out the fridge, I noticed a metal bracket had detached from the back and was dragging along the floor. I called Hisense support again (and sent photos) and they said a technician would be contacting me. After a week, I got a call from Hisense saying a "new door" had been ordered and it would be here in 7-8 weeks. But there was never an issue with the door, which I tried to explain to email support to no avail. It took me 2 weeks of emails and calls and eventually I was given the contact details of the independent technician, who I called myself and I organised to come out. The technician arrived (the next day, which was great) and removed the bracket completely and said it was 'fixed'. I'm happy with this solution as long as the missing bracket won't cause any further issues down the line - which he assured me it wouldn't.

In the last week or so, the replacement fridge has also been making some new noises - dripping and popping - which occur on a nightly basis. These may be normal sounds as part of the defrost cycle - but they just seem so loud. Again, I can hear the noises audibly over the TV on the other side of the room.

Unfortunately I can't recommend this fridge at all.

Strong & sturdy fridge – Purchased this fridge last year. It’s very strong and works like a gem. Good quality and worth the price. Customer service was great and very helpful. Purchase was quick and easy and I even had home delivery. Thanks again. Show details ·  1

Very good – Got a good deal on this fridge. Exactly as advertised. Have had no issues with temperature, doors, noise. My only teeny weeny complaint is that one of the ice cube trays had a bit of plastic snap off and now it can't be used how it's supposed to be. Show details ·  1

No Frills Functionality – This unit is simple in its sleek brushed-silver design, making it easy to clean and resistant to finger prints and smudges. The handles are seamlessly integrated into the doors which means no protruding parts for things to get caught on, and if you're moving house, can fit easily through a conventional-sized door. It did take about a day for the… Read more

unit to maintain a constant temperature straight out of the box, but that can attributable to having the doors being constantly opened and closed the day it was delivered. The doors are solid and easy to open and close, with strong seals. Inside, there is enough shelving and compartments and cleaning is easy. The freezer has two large compartments and an ice cube tray. It also has a 5.5/6 star energy rating which is awesome. Highly recommended.

Great Fridge – Very silent could hardly hear it at night. Love the silver look as it suits our kitchen setting. Very spacious and easy to get into with a top mounted refrigerator and bottom freezer.  Show details
