we've always had to push hard with your toe on the bottom of the door to ensure it seals, to the internal constantly flashing when the door is open. And no one locally is willing to service a Hisense. Even the authorised service company has not been of any assistance other than giving us a 'work order number' 4 months ago. We will never buy any Hisense product again.
Extremely Flawed and Terrible Support – I like the unit but I've had multiple problems with it. It took several attempts to get the correct part for the door reversing kit sent (they kept sending the wrong part). vibrating so you have to remove the back panel to adjust it and stop it vibrating. If you turn the freezer temperature right down to minimum, the fridge no longer keeps cold and the temperature raises to over 10 degrees. Finally, one of the door shelves just disintegrated after 2 years and Hisense refused to do anything about it.
For cheap price I give 2 stars, otherwise 1. Ours lasted 4 years until the design flaw created a refrigerant leak. I would suggest everyone check theirs, rusted through. Why wouldn't they just use copper tube here. Shelves are also brittle Show details

Good small fridge/freezer combo – I had to get a new small fridge due to the limited size of my small kitchen. are adjustable. White was preferred over stainless steel, as that shows fingerprint and hand marks. Has to to wiped all the time which can be a pain. So white it is.
It is keeping its temperature, both in the fridge (bottom) and freezer (top.) The doors open and close easily. Not being too big nor heavy, it can be easily moved and the 2 back wheels are very useful for that.
Ice maker and ice holder is fixed and takes up almost 1/4 of the freezer compartment, so that can take up valuable space if the ice maker is not used.
With a capacity of only 230L (162L fridge, 68L freezer) it obviously will not store much, but enough for 1 or 2 people. So instead of a big shop for refrigerated items at least once a month, shopping will be weekly or so. That's manageable. Far better than a bar fridge where shopping is few times a week and storage is severely limited.
The size and storage will also help with the discipline of keeping food and meals relatively fresh and simple. No masterchef fridge here.
I notice fridges and freezers seem to have glass shelves nowadays, rather than the plastic covered steel ones. This can lead to cold spots where items can freeze, despite the designers say airflow is good. Also, glass shelves cannot store heavy items, like a pot.
Has a single crisper at the bottom and a compartment at the top for meat items.
Door storage is a bit limited, but it is not a big door. Do not expect to keep many 2L softdrink bottles. Came with 2 small loose egg holders.
No breakdown or blown lights so far. Fingers crossed.
Oh well, it is what it is, and I hope to get many good years of use from this refrigerator. 3 stars out of 5.

It's easy to clean, the freezer stays frost free and it does everything you'd expect a fridge/freezer to do. Plus, it's aesthetically pleasing with a nice, minimalist design and no protruding handle.
Having a reversible door is also a bonus. Before loading it up, I recommend looking at the instructions and tilting the fridge back a bit at an angle so the doors close easily.
I recommend shopping around, as this model is sold at quite a few retailers. I got a good deal on eBay with an extra discount code.
Overall very impressed with this model - would recommend to anyone looking for a compact, quiet fridge.

previous fridge the milk and items stored in the door tended to go off; not any more. The ice making tray works well -- with the humidity so low in the fridge the cubes rarely stick to each other.
The stainless steel finish is super easy to clean and looks great too.
** UPDATE ** This fridge is now 3 1/2 years old (as at July 2020) and still performing well. Just as quiet as the day we installed it.
**UPDATE - 2026 January** This fridge has just past 9 years of being used non-stop except for a few power outages due to storms. Continues to do a great job. @Hisense has a life time fan now. I hope their other white goods are built as well.

toward the bottom compartments with other food items which are cold very quick and kept fresh until consumed. Vegetables are kept fresh constantly and consistently and keep well and meat in the freezer is frozen quickly as we usually buy up for a fortnight at a time. I have had no hesitation giving this frodge a five star rating.

Durable, reliable, solid, compact – I bought this fridge second hand in 2019 off Gumtree for $250. I've never had an issue with it not keeping things cold enough. The only problem has been the ice tray has broken, but it seems I can order a replacement part.

Just lasted warranty period – I owned this one and the fridge gave up in its 4th year exactly after it ran out of its 3 year warranty. Apparently its cooling coils broke down and fixing cost of that itself was way more than that of fridge. Show details

days to deliver a new fridge. However, after 10 working days nothing happened. As I called support they said that they are unable to find a courier and therefore can offer us only a refund. As a result, we are already 2 weeks without a fridge, and a new one will be smaller in volume and we have to pay extra. We should have gone with another brand when purchasing the fridge. High pitched noise when running – From the start up a high pitched penetrating noise was emitted. The retailer could not get a reply from the distributor or the local rep. no one contacted me. Rang Hisense and they couldn't give me a straight answer on why the part wasn't now in stock. Offered to give me a brand new fridge but it would take 7 to 10 business days for this to happen. By this stage, we had been without a fridge for over 2 months and have been using the $200 fridge I bought off FB marketplace (which has been far more reliable than this $900 fridge). All in all, a terrible product with terrible customer service and I wouldn't recommend. Spend a couple extra hundred for a more reliable brand.
Expected it to last more than 4 years – My 88 year old mother purchased this fridge from The Good Guys in July 2017 and in October 2021 it stopped getting cold. Spoke to Hisense who referred me to their service agent who is located some 80kms away. Tried local service agents who wanted to charge $130 to visit plus $65 per 15 minutes plus GST plus parts. Has served us well – Great little fridge! Wasn’t our first choice but due to space limitations we had to buy this one, however I’d happily buy it again. It does what it’s supposed to, and so far not given us any issues. The freezer is quite small, I have to be strategic about freezer purchases. They’ve got one more chance to rectify the issues with this unmerchantable product and then it’s a consumer affairs job. All the same, I steer clear of this brand name now when purchasing products. Does what a fridge should and that’s it... for just under 5 years – A basic fridge/freezer, but maintains perfect temperatures when set to -20°C and 3°C. light was DOA but our last freezer didn’t have a light so it hasn’t really bothered me... You have to close the fridge door VERY gently or it will force the freezer door open; but I was able to mitigate this by adjusting the front legs a bit higher.
Edit (July 2025) - LED fridge luminaire has just failed; strobes and flickers. Fridge no longer feels as cold as it should when set to 3°C.
Edit (September 2025) - Failed completely. Just under 5 years for a fridge is unacceptable; I've knocked off a star because of this.

The Hisense fridges have bad smells – My Hisense fridge have bad smells. I wonder how it was manufactured. I clean it regularly and it needs to be cleaned at the back. I am thinking of buying another brand. I struggled for long not knowing where the smell came from even after cleaning the fridge, later I noted it was coming from the back of the fridge. Poor quality build – Fridge bought new June 2018. Christmas 2019 notice black powder on the floor under the Main door hinge. Finally got service person out in May 2020, turns out the hinge was not lubed at the factory nor was it fitted with the nylon wear washer. Steel on Alloy has ground the hinge away. Cracked in 6 places as the plastic is very brittle. Hisense won't replace, 3 year warranty but Hisense say I only have 12 month warranty. Now in the hands of Fair Trading. You would expect the shelves to last the life of the fridge. This comes under the ACCC Merchantable Quality Act.
