it. I have now forked out money of my own pocket to fix it. Pulled head off to find bolts were not torqued to spec Jason wants nothing to do with it still so will now be going to fair trading and the ombudsman.

Cannot recommend – Engine gave up right at the end of warranty period, stripped down to find not genuine parts. Could not recommend.

Forget your warranty – Burned oil at an alarming rate from Day 1, had I not been a compulsive oil checker, my engine would have blown before scheduled service. This was reported immediately. rings, said that's how they received the motor and refused warranty. It is now a legal matter. I have spent $15,000 on restoring my vehicle, was offered $4,400 by insurance company. Not in the least bit happy, avoid this company.

Great – Quick response to emails, sales team are great answered all my questions. Purchase of my new reconditioned motor was an easy experience, motor doing great, had it fitted at their workshop, car running smooth, would recommend, will be dealing with them in the future.

Won't recommend, not rebuilt, just honed and new rings, – 3.6 alloytec ra rodeo, $4500 rebuilt motor. 80k wore out timing chain guides, broke journals on camshaft, new lh head etc, new oil pump, water pump, gasket set, new timing chain set, 140k cracked piston, worn out rings, discovered motor hadn't been rebuilt, still had standard size pistons, full strip down of motor, rebuilt my own, I had serviced motor every 7500km religiously

Good communicators – Outstanding service. The staff at hm where very helpful and detailed the work being done to my engine and kept up communication the whole time. yes i would recommend them.

Great service – Thought it was going to be an ordeal buying an engine for my VW golf, not so! these guys rebuilt my engine in fast time and were so helpful through the whole process. Friendly even with my silly questions!

Absolutely perfect – Absolutely perfect. Whenever i need and engine or a cylinder head i go to these guys. Service is great and engines run like clock work. Not the cheapest but i guess the best products on the market rarely are.

Buyers Beware – Purchased a HM Gem Reconditioned engine through our workshop for a customer. On fitting there was no compression and a new head had to put on. The last one we bought had chronic oil leaks. The after sales service is terrible, they do not care about customer satisfaction at all. We will never buy another from them and would definitely not recommend anyone else to either.
