The machine only pushes dirt around. It does actually clean the windows. Thos leaves the with dirty steaks all over it. Very expensive machine that doesn't do anything. You'll be left cleaning the windows yourself. Show details

Works well for smudges – We bought the R3 hobot hesitantly after reading the reviews, but thought at least we could return it within the 30 day window if it doesn’t work. To be clear, if you desire spotless windows, your best bet is to hire a professional window cleaner or do it yourself, equipped with the proper cleaning techniques.
I chose the Hobot 2S for its square design, believing it would clean corners better than models with circular pads. If you've had a different experience with those, please share.
While there are many video reviews of various models, I'll focus on sharing my personal experience and conclusions:
1. **For Perfectionists**: If you seek impeccably clean windows, consider professional cleaning services or do it yourself. 2. **Manage Expectations**: The Hobot won't work miracles on extremely dirty windows. If your windows have heavy dirt, smears, bird droppings, or calcium stains, pre-clean them to avoid disappointment.
3. **Pre-Cleaning Works Wonders**: I used a microfiber mop with water and a bit of detergent for pre-cleaning. This removed most of the grime.
4. **Follow the Instructions**: The Hobot advises a dry clean first, using microfiber pads to dust, followed by a wet clean with its mist sprayers. This method yielded excellent results.
5. **Minor Touch-ups**: If the Hobot misses a spot, a quick wipe with a microfiber cloth can fix it. This is particularly useful for corners.
6. **Maintenance Is Key**: Regularly wash the pads and clean the tracks to prevent streaking. Think of it like not drying dishes with a dirty towel.

horizontal skid marks on each of the windows. Even neighbours commenting how bad it was.
The 30 day return warranty appears to be false too. After purchasing and trying out the machine, the owner (who has appeared on Youtube and TV advertorials, refused to have any dealing with subsequent follow-up other than saying it was the user's misuse. This was within the 30 day period.
After numerous emails of being thanked for the user's understanding and patience, the guy had the audacity to say that it only works on CLEAN windows
The machine was disposed of - a waste of hard-earned $500.

Such a disappointing company to deal with – Bought the Hobot S2 window cleaner, after the 2nd use it stopped working. Contacted the company they told me it was faulty & to return it for a replacement - I requested a refund as I wasn’t happy. As I wanted a refund I had to pay for the return postage. creates more dirt and streaks after clean – I followed the instructions to a T. The glass panels were thoroughly cleaned of dust before using the machine. robot on Saturday 18th March23. This is the only time I have used it. I tried to take pictures of the streaks left on the glass, but the light bounces off the reflection in the glass and therefore does not show up the streaks. I replaced the pads as per the instructions, I followed the instructions exactly and the machine still left streaks. Each glass panel is separated on my balustrade, and when the machine moves in the up-down direction, it sprays on either side and when on the far right side, sprays onto the adjacent panel to its right side and when on the far left, sprays onto the adjacent panel on its left side. This left me scrubbing the sides every time it did this, so I had to watch it like a hawk. I am not prepared to put the machine back on as I am extremely unhappy with its NON performance and only made my job harder, creating more work for me. I am better off manually spraying and wiping down the glass panels myself. I asked the company for full refund and they instructed me to watch the video. I advised that I I watched this video 5 times. We cleaned the tracks as per the video and instructions We are both university educated individuals and ENGLISH is our FIRST language and we were therefore able to follow the instructions exactly. The machine does not perform as advertised. My glass panels on my balustrade are INSIDE the house There are not caked with dirt They were not subjected to dirt roads/building dust/etc They were already clean before the robot was placed to complete a further clean The only thing the robot did was make is worse I do not recommend this product.
Another false advertising campaign on window cleaning – I gave this window cleaner 5 chances to clean a single pane window. was not too dirty. I setup as advised. No wind or moisture in the air. companies are pocketing from us with clearly no chance of it working or a refund. The last time I buy any products online. Shop local people
2S robotic window cleaner – The 2S left streaks on all the glass windows and doors it attempted to clean. We would do a "dry" clean with clean pads, then use the window spray supplied to try to clean the windows with clean pads. We would have to stop the 2S and start again. Luckily, when it became fixed or stationary, I was able to remove it easily. If it had stopped any higher, I would have had to wait until it lost suction and fallen off. That would have been an interesting scenario! Sometimes the 2S would stop half way up cleaning a window, then turn and go over an area it had already attempted to clean. It would omit cleaning the top of the window. A couple of times the 2S would attempt to clean near the handle of our glass door and in doing so it would become wedged under the handle. I then needed to stop the silly machine and start the whole process again. In every instance the 2S was unsatisfactory. If it became fixed, wedged, if the glass was dusty, the caterpillar tracks dirty (they were NEVER dirty as they were constantly cleaned as advised by Robot My Life), the whole process needed to be started again. The machine needs constant supervision. It is so much easier to clean the windows by hand and the results superior. If there was even a slight breeze, their special glass cleaner ended up in the atmosphere, not on the glass. It was always hit and miss with their cleaner! The machine is super noisy. I asked for a refund but was sent a replacement. I do not want another robotic window cleaner from Robot My Life. The 2S is their most expensive window cleaner. Prior to my purchase, [Name Removed], a representative from Robot My Life recommended the 2S when I was chatting with him on their website. Later, when I told them the 2S didn't work, [Name Removed], another representative told me I should have bought the 388. Fair Trading became involved. [Name Removed], from Robot My Life said that when the windows have too much oil on them, the wheels lose traction and the pads leave streaks, which is the reason the unit gets stuck sometimes. I would like to know why my windows would have oil on them! [Name Removed] has refused a refund and says the unit is working as advertised. The windows could possibly be cleaner after using the 2S but the marks it leaves on the windows are awful. The glass windows and doors that I used the 2S on have obvious streaks and marks all over them. Dust is preferable to the results of the 2S. The price of the 2s is now $499 reduced for $580. My 2S sits in its original box, (marks on the top of it from being wedged under the door handle when it got stuck), unused. It's absolutely useless as far as I am concerned. Do not buy this product.

follow the instructions (which I had) and then finally to be told "It doesn't work on dirty windows". This product was "Not Fit for Purpose".... After numerous emails, they refused to take the unit back. I told them I would leave a comment on their Facebook Page and then noticed they have now blocked anyone from leaving comments.... does this not make sense (why buy a window CLEANER to wipe clean windows?) but it is not what is stated in their advertising. We sent the Hobot 2S back for them to check and have had zero response. For $550 we expected to receive a window cleaner that worked and for Robot My Life to honour their warranty and provide a refund.
