I use this car every day. I bought a second hand 2017 LT with 70,000km on the clock from a large dealer. I mainly wanted a comfy tow vehicle, one with a reverse camera so I could hitch the trailer by myself. I took a few cars for a test drive. After reading many reviews and 6 months searching I decided on getting a Holden Trailblazer. (I was a holden fan aswell). In general the car does what it is asked of it. Great fuel economy and lots of torque. A good workhouse, surprising lots of the leg room for the 3rd row. However;

Recently returned to nsw mid North Coast from Gulf and Nth Qld trip in recently purchased Trailblazer and Concept 18 ft van. Km totaled 17000, time away 110 days, GCM total 4800 kg, GVM caravan 2500 kg (all up) and ball weight of 212 kg. a weight distribution hitch was fitted but I could not seem to find a good setting so airbags were fitted half through the trip. Problem solved . Power wise and comfort wise this vehicle beats anything I have previously owned. Best of all was the economy at 11.4 average with caravan hitched up over 80% of the journey.Show details
Its a Good WorkhorseTrailblazer RG LTZ (2016-2023)
I have just clocked up 5500 kilometres in six weeks of ownership from new, 75% of that towing a caravan. Amazing low down grunt, great for pulling my caravan out of free camp sites. Tows my two tonne caravan easily at highway speeds and without need for levelling bars, just sits flat. I am impressed with the air conditioner. Probably the first car I have ever owned that I can say the AC is too cold, and that was in SW QLD where temperatures were 45C degrees day after day. However, the car does lack some sophistication. It is a fairly bumpy ride, although takes potholes well. The seats are not too comfortable and lacks supports. For a large car there should be more storage, especially for phones etc. GPS mapping is setiously out of date and lacking in the POI department, yet Holden say I have the most recent update and there is no ability to download an upgrade from the Holden website. So, bottom line...far cheaper than most 4WD SUVs capable of towing 3000kg. Reasonably stylish, seems like a good strong engine. Hasnt faulted me in 5000klm of towing, tows easily. Yeah, I think the Holden Trailblazer is a reasonably good workhorse.

Ok, I am a die hard hsv/Holden owner. So I was very reluctant to get a vehicle constructed o/s, which are all substandard to the old hsv vehicles IMO. Highly recommend, even if it is not made in Elizabeth, south Australia! Great versatile vehicle.
Failblazer and the non existance of Holdens former GloryTrailblazer RG LT (2016-2023)
I bought my Trailblazer in November of 2018 as my wife and I decided to Part ways with my VF SS Storm due to having the larger family and a V8 couldn't fit us all.
We were sold the LT Trailblazer- in fact all of the models of this line as being better than our Toyota Prado, more versatile than any other 7 seater cars on the market and the best value for money especially when it came to reliability and operatibility.
Since owning the car we have had nothing but dramas;

Not much I can say, but fantastic Car.
Had zero issues and the car is a dream to drive, compared to my old Mitsubishi Triton MQ.
I have the Trailblazer Storm MY20 apart from very minor things like cup holder size, I cannot not fault it.
I just wish someone can explain how to get to the top dash speaker, so I can upgrade it, which I do to all my cars.

2 year review after 35,000kmTrailblazer RG LTZ (2016-2023)
Fantastic car. I preferred the Everest on test drive but for $12,000 saving went with the trailblazer. Tried the Pajero sport but felt cramped. Haven't regretted at all.
Here's been the issues all in the first month
1. Auto window opening had a problem. Was sticky and stayed open.
2. Reverse sensor went off with towball in place.
Took back to Holden and they immediately fixed both no questions with pretty good service. Took a return trip with the window.

Bough a second hand 2015 colorado 7 it's a great car to drive but it comes with a couple of major down falls. The car is firstly fantastic on the highway and it's awesome on fuel economy, we took ours across Australia and got 900kms to a rank of fuel, not towing anything. The car feels Rock solid, but it has very poor steering and handling abilities and its turning circle is even worse. We had a very unpleasant accelerator pedal problem, that gave us a sore foot and leg on the pushing motion, not sure what that was about, we had the mechanic lo... Read moreok at it but it seemed that problem could not be fixed, eventually that's why we got rid of it. Mechanical it's diesel engine us flawless, the only negative is its inability to take off when you need it to be a bit speedy. So with more than 220000km on the clock this car still service at a low cost, only had the diesel enjectors cleaned once. The thing we disliked the most is how stiff the body of the car was and how bumpy and poor it responded to rough road surfaces, not pleasant at all. So I can only give it one star on the ground of the poor visibility, poor handling and steering and its stiff body. Could I recommend this car to anyone? The answer would be No.
Powerful tough family haulerTrailblazer RG LTZ (2016-2023)
Having bought a 2.5ton caravan we needed a car capable of towing it comfortably. With a young child and potential for more children in the future, we needed something with room to grow as well.
The Trailblazer stood out for us amongst the competition as having more power, better steering, better safety and significantly better value for money.
We have loved the child restraint points which are on the seat backs and easy to access, not a given in this class of car. Also it easily fits 3 car seats in the middle row. I fit in the third row of... Read moreseats at 183cm tall, and a stroller and a couple of bags can still fit in the remaining boot space with 7 seats in use. Whilst there are no child seat anchorages for the third row, there is an option for fitting them using an accredited fitter and utilising existing bolt holes. Unfortunately the tumble mechanism for the middle row doesn’t allow much movement with child seats installed, and the split rear seat has the 60% on the kerb side making it hard to leave 2 seats installed whilst maintaining access to the third row without sending kids out on the road to enter. The boot floor is a little high off the ground but space is good, the seats fold easily and there’s a handy storage compartment easily accessible. The trailblazer happily tows our caravan with a decisive transmission that doesn’t hunt for the right gear even down changes when decending hills automatically for engine braking. It tows happily at the speed limit, overtakes effortlessly and always has plenty of power in reserve, and can maintain good pace even up the steep hills around Adelaide. The engine revs about 1600 in 6th, 2100 in 5th and 2600 in 4th at 100kph. It can hold top gear comfortably on the flat with the van on the back keeping noise levels to a minimum, but even when working hard up steep hills it stays smooth and relatively quiet. You can use manual mode to be more selective but I have found the auto to do such a good job I barely use it. There is a little turbo lag from standstill but the torque kicks in hard from just over 1500rpm so it’s only a momentary issue! Stability is great even in strong cross winds, although the read suspension sags a bit with 250kg tow ball down load so we use a weight distribution hitch and are considering getting airbag suspension assist on the rear. The ride is firm but nicely controlled, and the steering is very sharp and car like! Handling is very good considering it’s a tall suv, and it is fun to drive hard on a twisty road! The simple part time 4wd system works effectively though I haven’t been too far off road, it has worked well on dirt tracks and simple 4wd tracks.
Flawless except for the tow bar issueTrailblazer RG LTZ (2016-2023)
I bought a Trailblazer Col 7 2016 and it has been amazing, I have done 100,000 km in two years and still drives like it is brand new...powerful, good on fuel, and super comfortable. The only issue I have had, and others have had too, is when I have my tow bar on (no matter what configuration, drop bar etc) the reversing sensors just keep going off...drives me nuts. Holden just flog me off, Wollongong Holden in Fairy Meadow is the worst. Their solution, just take your tow bar set up off? serious, i am constantly hooking on trailers, vans etc. Anyway, love it love it.Show details
Terrible seatsColorado 7 / Trailblazer
We purchased the ltz in 2016 and had some minor issues. The windows function which open to help when closing the door failed. Great when it is raining!!! But the biggest disappointment is the lack of support in the seats. We both get back aches and there is not enough support under your knees. Great to tow with and drive but comfort comes first. I wrote a review on this vehicle not long back this is a follow up. I purchased this car in June and have just returned from a 10,000 k trip to Queensland where I drove it in all conditions, it performed beyond my expectations. It is a capable four wheel drive when needed and a great family car on the road, quiet, comfortable and loads of power will tow a large van or trailer at a hundred k with no effort it has all the features you would require in a car and more. The Bluetooth and GPS performed without a hitch and air con was great. They say... Read moreit does not have a diff lock, not true, it has, but it works different to others. Off roaders seam to think that if they don't have a button to push it's no good, all that counts is that it works. If I have a problem with it it will be the position of the USB port in the centre console, if you drop something heavy into it you would damage things, the USB needs to go into the dash somewhere but that's just nitpicking. Overall this vehicle is tops with me it never even looked like going wrong and I don't treat my cars gently.

So far can't fault this car I have read all the reviews on this vehicle and I fined that all of the negativity pointed at it is untrue.
It is smooth on the road it is quiet it is powerful it is comfortable and I would recommend it to anyone.
This vehicle has come of age if you are in the market for a vehicle that will do almost anything at a budget price do yourself a favour and go for a test drive.

Having issues with the middle seat belt, it will not retract, is there an easy fix for this or is it a major issue, has anyone else had this happen
I have a 2017 Trailblazer LTZ, and have been having constant battery issues, Auto electrician has taken a look, but we can find any parasitic draws. I have replaced the battery at least 3 times (AC Delco). whole car just goes black and won't even get a kick out of the battery but give a couple minute and fires right up. has also replaced the batteries in the key fobs.
leather seat (drivers) cracking, is this covered under warranty
