Simply excellent, exceeded expectations – Picked the RS V6 up second had with 68,000kms and now at 100,000kms after 3 years. It is an excellent car, and have had no issues. The AWD grip is sensational and the V6 motor is faster than you might think (5.7 seconds 0-100 timed on the dragy specialist timing equipment). It's important to change the oil in the rear diff regularly as Holden… Read more

service centres will not do this as well as the transmission oil more frequently than Holden recommends. I've driven a lot of cars and the V6 AWD is really impressive and a bargain for what these sell for now in the used market. It's quiet, safe and comfortable. The RS V6 is the pick of the bunch as you get 90% of the VXR for just over half the money.

Absolute rubbish – What a piece of rubbish. I have driven motor vehicles over 2.75 million, yes 2.75 million kms and I have never experienced a motor vehicle of such poor handling and reliability. Shame, shame on the designers and builders. I sit here in a country town, waiting 8 days for the differential to be fixed. The odometre has only 56000kms. And no, I do… Read more

not spin the wheels. Please do not ever buy one of these cars. Its like the girl in the bar, she is going to offer you everything and delivers nothing. Gmh, Holden, shame on you.

Nice car but terrible service – Purchased car new in 2018 and then Holden announced it was leaving Australia . Had a minor oil leak and it took holden 10months to get the small part from overseas to fix it ! They don’t care about customers now they have left Australia ! Would never had purchased a Holden if I know there were leaving our shores ! Show details

Great car with great value for money! – I purchased this car from maddington Toyota in October 2020 and it’s been overall surprisingly good. I mainly use it to run errands and as of this week, I now use it to commute to work for my new job. It’s a 4cyl turbo and very fast, smooth and silent. There’s lots of features I like including rear cross traffic alert, blind spot monitor and… Read more

Apple CarPlay. The gearbox is also seamless at transitioning, adding to the smoothness and handling.

I’ve only made one warranty claim which was to replace the faulty rain sensor for the windshield wiper. I did this at shacks holden and they were very friendly and more than helpful, with outstanding service.

My only complaint is when listening to music, the front doors can rattle a bit. This stopped after I had my windows tinted as I assume they pulled the door panels off and refit them when placing the window tint, however it is slowly starting to come back.

My other minor complaint is the headlights on the car kinda suck, however I bought brighter headlight bulbs at super cheap auto and they are now better. If only they built all trim levels of this car with LED lights.

I get a lot of compliments for the size of the boot in this car, and I have easily fit bikes and Ikea furniture with the seats folded! This makes it a great car for road trips, along with the comfortable seats and suspension.

Overall a great car though and I’m happy with my purchase so far.

It's a good car! Just don't tell a Commodore fan – Engine/gearbox. The brochure says 4 cylinder turbo, but the right foot says 6 cylinder as that is exactly how it operates. The gearbox shift points are designed to keep the engine in the lower RPM's. It's happy to cruise @ 1,200 - 1,800 rpm at any speed. 110kmh is just 1,500 rpm in 9th gear. The power starts at 2,000 and it really bogey's from… Read more ·  1

2,500 rpm's. If you don't look under the hood, you'll never believe it is a 4 cylinder. There is only one problem with the package and that's kick down. If you plant your foot there is a delay of about 1 second while the gearbox shifts down 2-3 gears before it accelerates which it doesn't need to do.

Cornering/ride. The steering of the ZB is light weighted and precise giving good feed back. There is almost no body roll around corners and the ZB corners like it is on rails and better than a car of this price point and size should. It's very enjoyable to throw around the corners and it does so with great feed back and grip, it's obvious why a lot of ZB's wear a badge on Australian roads. It's a car that will delight and reward a driver who want's some fun behind the wheel.

Seating. Driver's seat is great. It adjust's every way you want making it easy to find a comfortable position. Couple of hours in the seat is not a problem at all. The front passenger seat however only gets reach, angle and lumbar with no height adjustment and it's low. If your 160cm tall, your going to be staring at the dash/door rather than out the window. 180cm + will love it. Back seat is also good, for leg, knee, shoulder, torso room, except for head room thanks to a lowly sloped roof. 170cm, maybe 175cm tall passengers will be ok, 180cm will be rubbing their head on the roof lining.

Liftback/storage. Why isn't every sedan a lift back? When you lift the tailgate on the ZB, it makes every boot lid obsolete. There is room for 3-4 suit cases that can be easily loaded and if you fold down the rear seats, they lay flat with room for a push bike or1800x900mm sheet of timber with room to spare. Elsewhere you get the usual door storage pockets, centre console and a couple of extra storage bins in the console. The glove box is a let down, only enough room for the manual and the fuel funnel.

Economy. 9.0-9.5l/100kms around town/commuting and 6.8-7.3l/100kms open road. Tank gives an easy 600km range on the open road.

Features. Comes with all the usual modern features you'd expect, lane keep, cross traffic alert, AEB, auto parking, auto stop, lights, wipers etc. Too many if you ask me, but it is 2020... Given what is included, there are a couple of glaring omissions that you'd have thought would be included such as Adaptive cruise control and LED head lights. The headlights are a source of common complaint for poor performance. I found that mine where very poorly aimed. They are easily adjusted giving an improvement but even then, they are "average". Swapping the bulbs for some brighter/whiter aftermarket bulbs (H4) helps, but really, why does it have old school H4 bulb's in this day and age?

Downsides? No car is perfect. - Front wheel drive. Given how well this car corners and it's power, hobbling it with FWD is a crime. - PULP 95 fuel required. - Front wheel drive. Putting a Commodore name badge on a FWD, another crime. - Space saver spare tyre. For a sedan that can tourer so well, space saver is just wrong. They could have easily fitted a bigger wheel well to fit a full size so why a space saver? why?

Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice – We picked up our ZB RS 2.0L turbo last week. It has 5500km on it first registered in Oct 18. I am really impressed, i have owned a number of Holden in the past (VH Commodore, WH Statesman Gen3, VE SS, VF SS LS3) and they have all been great but this one is light years ahead. I think the people who slam this car have never driven one and can't move… Read more

on from Aussie manufacturing being closed. Sure it is a bit smaller than the VF but is bigger than the VT. I test drove a Subaru, and a Camry (Camry looked good but very disappointing to drive, it was like a gutless whale compared to ZB) and the Commodore is far superior. I drove both the 2.0L T and the V6 AWD. Look i nearly grabbed the V6 but went with the 4 cylinder. This thing is quick, certainly quicker than the VF SV6 and i think it would be quicker than the WH with the LS1 5.7L. People just need to remember the first commodore came from Germany and now it has gone back to its' roots. Shame that holden don't have a V8 in it, it would be lethal or perhaps a twin turbo 6 to replace the V8 but i just read they are bringing out the new mid engine Corvette as RHD so that will tick that box for the price of a HSV GTS. I say go and drive one you may get a suprise.
