Its an ok little car for what it is – The trax is ok to drive but lacks power especially when the aircon is on. Handling is good has a little turning circle. I dislike not having some power for incase there is a situation that may need it. It has plenty of room even with 2 child seats in the back. Show details
A great car – It’s great to drive and doesn’t use much fuel. It’s not a big SUV, but great for me and I got 3 years free services. I’ve never had any problems and love the software. You do have to pay for the maps if you want them, but I don’t use them. Show details

Making excellent trax! – I've had my Trax Active for six weeks now and I love it. Its the perfect size for me, I wanted something high but not too big. While its compact it has plenty of space, comfortably fitting 4 adults on a recent roadtrip. I get just under 500kms on a tank - more for open road. It has the features I wanted including reverse camera. The navigation… Read more
app however is clunky and slow but the 2017 models have better options now. For the price it offered the best value for features compared to other similar sized vehicles.
I find its a little slow to take off, kicks into high gear up a hill but I wasn't after a small zippy car so it suits my needs. I'm really pleased with my pick of car!
After purchase support has been great as well with tips and tricks being emailed through and a complimentary 1 month service.
Love my Trax – I love my new Trax, i upgraded from a swift and didnt want a huge car. We chose the trax because of its compact size on the outside but its amazingly huge leg and head room inside. The running costs are on par with my swift, giving me around 550km per tank. I love having bluetooth for my music and the great easy touch screen. The only thing… Read more
that i would've liked is bigger boot room, especially for families with prams etc. But for me it is more than adequate.
I would never buy this vehicle, ever! – Driving this as anew hire car around Tasmania. Handles corners badly brakes not as responsive as they should be. Poor view bad blind spot large view blocking piece of plastic behind rear view mirror. No power I would not trust it to overtake anything. Seems to be economic on fuel. Relatively comfortable. Can fit two large suitcases in boot space… Read more
one on top of the other.
Overall we have found this vehicle disappointing and would not buy one or recommend it to anyone.
The Perfect Trax to Take – Wow Wow Wow best describes this little gem, it runs like a dream totally love the extra features that come with the Active pak, sunroof, roof racks are my favourites. The interior is slick and stream line with lots of little hidey holes to pop away those extra bits like loose change, fuel cards and sunglasses. With plenty of leg room in the back… Read more
from little ones in car seats to grumpy old dads long legs. The seats are both compfy and practical in a nice stylish and durable material, very little road noise can be heard on the highway and runs smoothly over dirt roads. This car handles beautifully, easy to park, reversing camera with sensors which make getting in and out of tight spot easy. It has a reasonible sized boot with lots of extra pockets to store cleaning products, torches etc. I recently tested the fuel out on a long drive and managed 680km before I re-fueled, I live 30Km from work and I get to and from for the whole week plus running around on the week-end on a tank of fuel. I completely love my little red beast and would totally recommend it to anyone.
Interior vibration noise – Bought a Trax Active (petrol) which and had a vibration noise problem when the car was idling... making it sound like a diesel. Took the car to the dealer during the first 3000k service, but they did not acknowledge there was a problem. Took the car home and noticed in the engine bay that the fuel hose was vibrating constantly where it joins the… Read more
engine fuel rail. There are 2 black plastic clips on top of the rocker cover that hold the fuel line/hose in place - one of these was broken and was not seating in the rocker cover bracket... leaving the fuel line unsupported and prone to vibration. As soon as I put my hand on the fuel line, my wife who was inside the car, confirmed that the vibration noise had suddenly vanished! The car will be going back to the dealer to fix as the vibration has been present from day 1 when the car was brand new. It's a shame that the normally great driving experience can be ruined by a 50c part.
great to drive – Great car to drive just a vibration start when car idles at a set of lights ..not sure if normal ..have taken back to Holden so they sent report to there technician as they can't find what it is .. Other than that I love the car and can't fault anything else. If anyone else is experiencing this I would love to know or is it normal? Show details
