Dead after just over 2 years – A water timer that lets in water and dies just outside of the 2 year warranty. Great...this will be the last time I buy Holman. Premium price for a poor product. Show details

Dud Product, Not Recommended – Like many other reviewers, system display shows watering however the solenoid valve does not open. Battery level full as shown on the display. Therefore no actual watering takes place! Apart from the obvious it's so frustrating thinking the garden is being watered. Purchased from Bunnings thinking Holman was a solid brand and wanted to support… Read more

an Australian company. Very disappointed with this dud product. Wish I seen the other reviews prior to making a purchase decision.

Not again, have since purchased a replacement a US product via Amazon with 600+ positive reviews

No real problems – Bought from Bunnings before start of last seasons Tomatoes in Greenhouse. Saved my bacon. Now in use for its second session - (repaced battery even though it still showed full). Running without a problem. Once you get the various settings right, you can go away with peace of mind.Found these adverse reviews whilst tryin to purchase another unit to water the rest of my garden during the Christmas break. Will keep my fingers crossed. Cheers. Show details ·  1

Reliable? – Product worked perfectly, then showed signs of poor power supply. Changed batteries, same problem. Put a thin cardboard packer in battery compartment to improve contact , end of problem. Such a brilliant design, other than poor connection. Show details

I have 3 WaterWhiz 200's that work perfectly – I have been using 3 WaterWhiz 200's for around 2 years and their operation has been faultless. They are reliable and work every time. I am surprised at all the negative reviews for this product. Show details

Can't trust it to actually work – Worked fine for one summer of watering, now only works about 20% of the time. Most times when it comes on (either manually or via schedule) the display indicates that it's on but no water flows. Started happening intermittently but now happens all the time. Have changed out batteries to no avail. Show details

Shoddy product. Couldn't start when timed to go. Buttons don't work – I actually bought 2 of this product. The first one didn't work. Wouldn't water. Buttons wouldn't work. Valves wouldn't open up when timed to do so. Thinking this was a dud unit, I bought another. Nup same. Just came home from a holiday to find my garden dead and dried. So no strawberries for me. I am very lucky to have came home when I did because… Read more

some plants looks like it could be saved. So I have used a different brand of water timer which works fine (which was being used for other part of the yard which looks lush.

Could not start the manual mode. It's as if the OS of the timers have crashed. Buttons don't work. And yes this is on fresh batteries which I installed before I left for holidays.

This product have gone in the bin. Won't trust Holman products.

Zero star rating – Bought first unit from Bunnings. Zone 4 solenoid not functional. Returned and swapped with a second unit. Zones 1 and 2 not working! Very frustrating. Wish I'd seen this website first. Looks like it is hard to find a decent 4 zone programmable tap timer that actually works. Show details

Needs no star rating – Bought from Bunnings worked great for two weeks. Then solenoids failed in 2,3, and 4 so I could only use the first line. I wished I’d seen this website before I purchased this and saved my time and money. Show details

Waist of money – We have now got three of these things. They work on occasions most of the time they are useless attachments on the tap that waist more time fiddling with then it would take to hand water. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. Show details

Not worth 1 star. Complete rubbish – I have now had a gardener, a landscaper and a handyman all attempt to get this completely useless instrument working. When I add up my time invested and theirs, it demonstrates what a poor choice I made. Do not waste your money or time! Show details

Random failures and then complete failure – I want to like this product because it is simple, light, easy to install and program and comes with a 2 year warranty. For the short time it is fully working, it's good. However, the reality is that like all the other reviews you'll find of this product, zones stop working for no apparent reason, meaning that some watering cycles may not start and… Read more

manual watering won't work for those zones. I saw zones operating if they started due to a scheduled watering cycle, but moments later they wouldn't start if you set the zone to manually on. Sometimes zones would only work if manually started. The display will tell you the zone is on and water is flowing, and you'll hear the solenoid click, but no water will flow. Sometimes turning the tap off and turning the tap back on at the exact moment the solenoid clicks worked--sometimes it didn't help. I had these problems fairly soon after purchasing the product and after fiddling around with it, I finally managed to get it in a state where water was flowing on the programmed schedules for about 2 months. Then 3 of the 4 zones just stopped working altogether and no amount of fiddling around could get them working again. Returned for a full refund so I could buy a reliable alternative.

Rubbish, like everyone else suggest – Like all the other poor reviews, says it is watering in either auto or manual but no water comes out. We had it set while we were away and came back to carnage. Avoid or at least keep your receipt, you'll be returning it within 3 months. Show details

DON’T EVER BUY – This product does not deserve 1 Star. Like most people it says it’s watering but nothing happens. Bought it today and immediately failed, never worked, replaced 3 hours after the original purchase and the second unit worked once and then nothing. This is beyond a joke considering it is not a cheap timer. Show details

Useless – I bought this to water a property I own in the country that I do not live at . Like the other reviews , the valves to not switch on even though the screen shows water is on. This is both on manual and auto . So disappointed when you see your garden dying because this thing does not come on. I’m astounded that this is a known issue for a few years now and it is being still made and sold . What a waste for such an expensive timer Show details

Works once then requires reset – Purchased a Waterwhiz 400 and 200 from Bunnings 6 weeks ago. The 400 is a brilliant unit, cannot fault. The 200 on the other hand is turning out to be a waste of money. Every time I am having to reset to get it to operate. After each reset it will operate for one cycle and then nothing else. The controller shows that it is in the on state as I can… Read more

view the water on icon. Manual operation also does not work. Based on other reviews I am reading it appears that I am not alone in having this issue. Also seems that Holman does not care about it based upon their platitudes. All I want is a product that works. If there is a known problem then recall the product and fix. I work in manufacturing and have had to do this on more than one occasion unfortunately. It’s expensive but at least we ended up with happy and satisfied customers.

Unusable – I bought this to water my garden for a week while I was away on holiday. I set it up correctly as per the instructions and it simply wouldn't work. One tap would work but the other wouldn't and pressing OK would sometimes reset the device and make me set the time all over again. It just seemed to work at random. I ended up returning this after wasting a day of trying to get it working. Don't bother buying this junk. Show details

frustrating – Had one of these units recently and have had to replace it twice in the space of 10 days. Installed them for a new lawn so had to have a functioning unit. Constantly bleeding the unit as per the instructions. Holman are obviuosly well aware of this. Very frustrating and after the second unit failed. Also had purchased a Holman manual four hose splitter brass unit that worked for 5 days and then water spewing out the sides. I chose Holman because they're an Aussie brand but certainly won't purchase or recommend this brand.

Run for 12 months flawlessly – Had the 4 station Pope model and took it back after 1 week. One station just kept flowing everytime it turned on. Spent more on the four outlet Holman and honestly they are light years apart. 12 months later and it still has full battery. No issues. Fingers crossed it continues. Show details ·  1

Latest units unreliable – Had a unit for 12 months and was really happy until every time I tried a manual water the unit would lose the time and day. Continued doing this after battery change. Fortunately the unit had a 2 year warranty and I returned it to Bunnings. I have have since exchanged 3 units over the last month all with the same issue of being very unreliable.… Read more

After ringing Holman Tech support, I was advised that I must have a pressure issue. This seems very unlikely as it is usually 1 out of the 2 zones that doesnt work . And this is random. It appears there have been many people with the same issues. I just hope Holman do take note and fix this common problem .

Fails to Operate – I bought this a couple of months ago thinking that it would be just what I needed as we regularly spend time away from home. What a dreadful mistake. Absolute Rubbish – Bought this last weekend. After the initial testing, we set it up to turn on at 9pm at night. Zone 1 didn't turn on. Zone 2 and 3 did. The Water symbol appeared but the valve did not open. To make it work we had to unscrew the whole thing off the tap and then re-attach and then water zone 1 manually. After 2 days of this, we return it to Bunnings… Read more

to replace it, only to be told by a Bunnings staff member that they are a bit hit and miss.... for $170 they need to be hit not miss. Second one.... worked great for 2 days. Zone 4 we kept free so we could use the hose separate... go to use the hose... zone 4 didn't turn on.... i left it. Next timer round and none of the other zones worked either. Each time we water we need to unscrew the unit, break some sort of water seal and then screw it back on. It cant be too much pressure because our pressure is terrible. Why does the valve not open on the unit when the timer starts? Seems like a massive fault. I'm now waiting for another brand (that has a 5 star rating) to be delivered and I will be returning this for a refund. Reading all the previous reviews, seems I'm not alone in this. Tomorrow is 37 degrees and I don't even know if its going to water my lawn in the middle of the day to keep my newly seeded grass wet

Unreliable, seldom worked – We have one of these timers and have had it for two years and it works faultlessly. Needing a second timer, I bought another one exactly the same.
