Holman Water Whiz 200

Dead after just over 2 years – A water timer that lets in water and dies just outside of the 2 year warranty. Great...this will be the last time I buy Holman. Premium price for a poor product. Show details
Don't buy this rubbish – 2 timers in 3 years no support with a $5 fee for over the phone charge for support. I am an advocate for buying Australian but this product is total rubbish. Look elsewhere for a better product. Show details
Shoddy product. Couldn't start when timed to go. Buttons don't work – I actually bought 2 of this product. The first one didn't work. Wouldn't water. Buttons wouldn't work. Valves wouldn't open up when timed to do so. Thinking this was a dud unit, I bought another. Nup same. Just came home from a holiday to find my garden dead and dried. So no strawberries for me. I am very lucky to have came home when I did because… Read more
some plants looks like it could be saved. So I have used a different brand of water timer which works fine (which was being used for other part of the yard which looks lush.
Could not start the manual mode. It's as if the OS of the timers have crashed. Buttons don't work. And yes this is on fresh batteries which I installed before I left for holidays.
This product have gone in the bin. Won't trust Holman products.
Only one cycle works – I bought a couple of months ago. One start time works on each cycle only. The second cycle, the valve doesn’t open but the screen shows it is watering. What am I doing wrong?? Show details
Good initially but disappointed few months later – Was working well until recently starts to have leaks, disconnected the hose and discovered probably the valve not shutting properly causing the leak and inconveniences have to keep drying the water puddles. Disappointed. Show details
I have 3 WaterWhiz 200's that work perfectly – I have been using 3 WaterWhiz 200's for around 2 years and their operation has been faultless. They are reliable and work every time. I am surprised at all the negative reviews for this product. Show details
Absolutely Hopeless – I have now returned this thing twice spend time and I'm still trying to get it going it shows its watering but nothing happens on both Manual and automatic, mode Any Suggestions!!!! Show details
Works once then requires reset – Purchased a Waterwhiz 400 and 200 from Bunnings 6 weeks ago. The 400 is a brilliant unit, cannot fault. The 200 on the other hand is turning out to be a waste of money. Every time I am having to reset to get it to operate. After each reset it will operate for one cycle and then nothing else. The controller shows that it is in the on state as I can… Read more
view the water on icon. Manual operation also does not work. Based on other reviews I am reading it appears that I am not alone in having this issue. Also seems that Holman does not care about it based upon their platitudes. All I want is a product that works. If there is a known problem then recall the product and fix. I work in manufacturing and have had to do this on more than one occasion unfortunately. It’s expensive but at least we ended up with happy and satisfied customers.
Unusable – I bought this to water my garden for a week while I was away on holiday. I set it up correctly as per the instructions and it simply wouldn't work. One tap would work but the other wouldn't and pressing OK would sometimes reset the device and make me set the time all over again. It just seemed to work at random. I ended up returning this after wasting a day of trying to get it working. Don't bother buying this junk. Show details
Failed after about one week of use – I purchased this item earlier in the year but only recently installed it. One of the cycles continually failed to activate after a week of use even though the image on the screen showed water exiting the tap . (And yes the water supply tap was turned on ) . The many negative online reviews along with my experience with this lamentable product… Read more
meant I decided not to bother with seeking an identical replacement from my supplier ( Bunnings) as I have zero confidence in its ability to meet my expectations. I opted for a cash refund.
Great product!! – Surprise that got so many negative feedbacks ! But it works so well for me. My only problem and why I searched it today, is because I need purchase for the 4 outlets rather than 2 outlets. Headache !! Show details
Latest units unreliable – Had a unit for 12 months and was really happy until every time I tried a manual water the unit would lose the time and day. Continued doing this after battery change. Fortunately the unit had a 2 year warranty and I returned it to Bunnings. I have have since exchanged 3 units over the last month all with the same issue of being very unreliable.… Read more
After ringing Holman Tech support, I was advised that I must have a pressure issue. This seems very unlikely as it is usually 1 out of the 2 zones that doesnt work . And this is random. It appears there have been many people with the same issues. I just hope Holman do take note and fix this common problem .
Don't waste your money , should have read reviews – Purchased at Bunnings 13/11/2019 for $105 . Seemed perfect for my needs . Connected , tested , all good , set 2 zones 2 x 10 min. watering twice a day every 3rd day . Headed off for work away for 2 weeks . Arrived home to a dry unwatered garden with dried out & dead pot plants and garden. Checked operation , switched to manual & yep it operated… Read more
but the valve didn't open . NO Watering at all .!! Bunnings refunded money . Why sell a known faulty product I asked ?

Fails to Operate – I bought this a couple of months ago thinking that it would be just what I needed as we regularly spend time away from home. What a dreadful mistake. I should have read all the reviews. It seems to operate OK when sitting on my kitchen table (ie the valves open and close as programed) but doesn't operate when attached to the garden tap. On manual… Read more
control it only works about 25% of the time. My fruit trees are too precious to leave them to be watered by this device.
Hello Steve, thank you for your review.
Unreliable, seldom worked – We have one of these timers and have had it for two years and it works faultlessly. Needing a second timer, I bought another one exactly the same. The second timer is useless. Doesnt come on when programmed. And having used the same timer previously, I know how to operate it! Cost me my lemon tree, as it died while we were away over winter.… Read more
Bunnings were superb, offering first a change over, and it was faulty too, then my money back. Purchase this timer at your peril.
Timer failing multiple times – Not impressed, this is the third one I've replaced, being in the industry not happy about going back each time and changing the unit, I'm now looking at a different product, Show details
hello Terrence, these timers run a solenoid and as such,… Read more (+2 replies)
Extremely disappointing – I am now on my fifth dual timer. Thanks to Bunnings, I have been able to change them. They run for a few weeks then stop working. Even the manual control stops so I can’t water at all. The latest one worked for three days then failed to turn on the water. I would hear a click and the screen would show water flowing but none was. Sometimes, zone… Read more
one would work. Then nothing for a few days, then Zone two would come on. For some reason I could not use the manual switch in the morning. It would show water flowing on the screen but none was. Strangely, If I tried once again to switch on the manual operation in the late afternoon it would work. I have done everything that is suggested in the instructions. I am really really disappointed because when it worked it was great. The system is easy to program with an easy to read screen. However, feel I have persisted long enough so once more I will drive over one hundred and sixty kms to Launceston to my nearest Bunnings store to change it. But this time I will not be getting a Holman dual electronic timer. Never again.

Unreliable & Expensive – As professional landscapers we know that irrigation systems can sometimes be troublesome, but with the right gear any teething problems are quickly solved and you'll end up with a trouble free system. I've had this particular unit operating without any issues for the last 18 months so they're not all bad but unfortunately the Holman tap timers… Read more
have proven to be unreliable, having seemingly a mind of their own as to if, or when, or through what outlet they will do their intended job, regardless whether it has 1, 2 or 4 outlets. Despite dotting all i's and crossing t's, i.e. checking for correct water pressure to be in the range of what the product specifies, we've had to replace faulty units often enough to say that, in our opinion, they are unreliable and given the the amount of time we've spent on replacing faulty units (4 in the last 9 months) it's fair to say that they are an expensive item to us, let alone the nuisance factor for our clients.
Your best bet for a trouble free system is to invest in irrigation that is planned, supplied and installed by an by an irrigation specialist: solenoid valve system with a controller supplied (and installed) - with all the latest app based control systems you can control the watering frequency and duration of your garden from your phone. Just note that just like anything in your garden, it needs a check every now and then to ensure there are no blockages, leaks and that the plants keep getting the right amount of water throughout the seasons.
Hello Petstra Gardens, thank you for your review!
Continually fails – Unreliable, turns itself off, comes back on with the wrong time. Great if you want your garden randomly watered. It's priced as a fairly premium product but right from the word go was not keeping time correctly and after only 6 months has completely failed. Cheap product in nice packaging. Show details
