As a concept the machine is a great idea, in reality it’s rubbish. The cartridges they use to allow for different coffee options are poorly designed. A standard Nespresso coffee pod does not fit inside the cartridge and is forced/squeezed in to the cartridge to be used. After you deepened the coffee you have to remove the cartridge which is hot, pop the cradle that holds the pod to release the pod which is also hot then remove the pod from the cartridge and throw it away, which is also hot. But the biggest pain is the residual stoppage after dispensing coffee. The cartridge drips for at least 30 seconds after machine has stopped. We take the cartridge out of the machine after each use to wash it and to stop it dripping but this is also painful because the hot water drips onto your hand and burns you. The Nespresso cartridge simply is badly designed, where the coffee comes out from the cartridge bottom, there seem to be a chamber that stores the coffee before it come into the cup, this chamber seem to always be full of water coffee and after a while I’m sure it’ll be full of mould as the chamber always seems to have water in it even after it siting in the sink for hours.
The water tank is another problem, it just doesn’t open easily to fill the tank it also has issues. There are lugs on each side of the lid and the lid doesn’t just simply open, you literally have to force it open to the point of nearly breaking it. Again just another issue that no thought went into. The tank only holds enough water for the long blacks, that’s it!!
This unit is cheap and nasty in its design and construction, it does make good coffee although making this coffee has it’s challenges.
Making ground coffee, coffee is messy and trying to empty the cartridge is hot wet and messy, in a traditional barista machine after coffee is dispensed a coffee cake is left behind which is thrown away, no such luck with this unit.
All I’d like to finish with is just as well we only paid $145 otherwise I would take it back and throw it at someone. I wouldn’t recommend this unit to anyone.
Follow-up · Just to follow up and answer a few questions. The unit does not get any louder as time goes on, but have noticed even today, the amount of coffee dispensed changes daily, it never over fills but under fills. I’ve not claimed a warranty yet and probably won’t because the machine is simply a throw away item rather than go through the process of claiming warranty. But I would not replace it with the same unit, after all one of the three coffee styles it dispenses I can’t even find! So far nothing has broken, although to unlock the pod cartridge you have to flip a lever and it’s tight!! So tight that you have to put one hand on the machine so it doesn’t flip!! And yes there are suction caps on the bottom but they don’t work. Still have the same challengers with filling water and changing pods!!
Purchased in for $145.

Replacement of faulty coffee machine – Purchased coffee machine and after three months it started under delivering in cup sizes and water started leaking from the base of the machine when using the Caffitaly attachment. Spoke to Klika on a few occasions and their friendly staff were always quick to respond. They replaced my machine and once again I am enjoying a great cup of coffee. I am very surprised at such good after sales service.
Follow-up · Machine functioning well. Water drips sometimes from the cassette drawers. The base is no longer a problem. When you say "frothing' do you mean infusion of hot air into the water container or "frothing" of the contents in the actual coffee cup?
Purchased in at Klika for $159.

not worth the price – This machine purchased from Woolworth's but supplied by another retailer is advertised as a three in one dispenser. Well it will not work at all with caffitaly pods as water leaks everywhere even though this is one of the pods it is supposed to use. Nesspresso pods and loose coffee work fine.
