reflecting my last year of business as a small business – As a contractor brand specialist I have been dealing with hometec for well over a year. I have engaged in doing various projects and apart from being likeminded the professional hat always stays on. All my invoices payed on time. Looking forward the next few years of influencing each other as creatives. And loving what we both do. Show details

Very well organized and excellent project management – I decided to build with Hometec because they have lot of experience in unit and townhouse development. From day one there have been no surprises with them and they stick to the schedule and deliver as per as the contract. It has been a smooth journey so far and I'm sure it will go smooth ahead as well. Show details

Very happy with our custom built family home – Our 46sqm custom design house was everything we could ask for and more. We decided to build with Hometec so that we could have a house designed to our requirements and not feel like a number. Our overall experience was stress-free and I would definitely build with Hometec again. The staff were always friendly and kept us updated as to the… Read more

progress of the house. If there were any issues the staff were more than happy to help rectify. Our house was built within budget and on time. Downside…our teenage kids won’t be leaving home ever!!!

Do yourself a favour and stay away! – This builder is nothing but trouble. From the beginning starting with the contract until the end nothing but lies. We have built before and know the good from the bad. Be careful with everything as even the contract has a lot of loop holes in favor of the builder. For example they had in our contract on purpose doubled the holidays and other items… Read more

to extend the build time. Our house they allowed themselves 18 months and took all the time as well. Crooked walls, floors, door frames and etc come for free. All the extras we wanted to include from the beginning ( not for free we were willing to pay for and spent an extra $30,000) were told that it was to late to include them all after the contract was done and had exceed a certain number (even though building not even started and meant more money for them and these were not structural). The list goes on and on. As the title says, save yourself a lot of trouble. This review is done without any personnel vendetta and by a trades person. Some of the trades people are nice and try to do the right thing. BAD, BAD, BAD magement

Very well organised and good quality and friendly trades – I decided to build with hometec as a friend had recommended them and I really can't say a bad word about them , being very busy I could not have imagined a messy build and from day one the whole build ran smoothly , of course there was some minor hiccups but over all I would highly recommend them Easy going , on time and budget , flexible

Happy with construction but still waiting for things to fixed from handover! – Our construction finished October last year after a long and at times stressfu build. We kept on top of things otherwise we would have had to settle their stuff ups like wrong door handles, no fireplace fit out, incorrect taps, incorrect bathroom wand WIR doors, incorrect ballestrades... and the list goes on and on. Luckily, we managed to handle… Read more

those errors as they arose. At handover, the administrator had written down a list of things that need finishing and were meant to be done within the next few weeks. It has now been almost 1 year since the day that was signed and nothing has been done. How hard would it be to get a window supplyer down to relpace the windows due to mortar scratches? put a lock on the ensuite door or to relpace a pantry door ?(saw them at Bunnings).

The kitchen cabinetry is of low quality and I need to keep pressing in the dodgy screw covers ups that are just stuck on. But the worst thing was dealing with the electrican. Wants money up front before he completes the job and now we even find the ceiling speaker wire he was meant to install - what a joke.

Note to the wise, if you are thinking of building with this builder, then have your own electrician do the electrical work - dont go with their recommended they dont even do CAT5 cabling.

Overall the house build is okay - it seems solid, and I am learning to live with bad quality sliding doors and dented garage door.

I had tried to contact them a number of times this year, but after last year, I am exhausted!

This company has the potential to be a superb builder, they just need to invest more in quality. Flexible design and Sales person was fantastic Dealt with all the error during the build and now waiting for things to done from handover a year ago!

Building with Hometec – We made the decision to build with Hometec over other builders due to the flexibility they provide with their floor plans, and the finish of their displays. We have now been living in our home for over 6 months. The office staff were friendly and easily contactable, the supervisors were understanding and flexible. We did have a few hiccups in… Read more

administration and construction but nothing major. All-in-all we enjoyed the experience and would build again with Hometec. We had heard a lot of off-putting "nightmarish" stories about building so we were hesitant at first. Now looking back we are surprised at how easy they made it for us.

We continue to receive compliments from our new neighbors, our friends and family and love our new home. We have now recommended friends to Hometec who are currently in the design process and creating their dream home. Flexible, exceptional costumer service, resonably priced for the end result and high quality finish We had to reselect discontinued products due to suppliers deleting. A re-shuffle of staff within the office which resulted in an item being missed on site, however shortly after rectified.

To avoid, heartache, headache and stress avoid Hometec – If you are looking for a competent building company and prompt completion to build a home for your family Hometec Industries should be completely avoided. If we are lucky, from signing contract to occupancy will be 2 years. There has been mistakes every step of the way, including sending us someone else building plans, errors with the colour… Read more

selections and invoicing for stage completion when the work had not been completed. From date of settlement to beginning construction of base stage was approximately 8 months and even then we are months past the 200 day completion deadline. Now we have received a letter informing us we may have to reselect some of our interior colours and fixings because construction has taken so long they may be out of stock or no longer in production, like that's our fault. We have had numerous broken promises and they have been unprofessional and incompetent. Don't use Hometec.
