Scam Company – This company offers a lower price, processes the payment to your bank account, then emails you stating the original price offered is no longer available, then attempts upselling to a substantially higher price. They also state that they have not processed the initial payment agreed to, do not fall for this, they have. I have been forced to dispute payment at a bank level.

I initially booked and paid in advance for 3 nights. The above to me is pretty clear that if I change from a 3 nights stay to a 2 nights stay after 15th of Jan, I will still be able to get one night refunded to me as I still need to pay at least one night due to the amendment. Due to some unforeseen reason I needed to cancel the 3rd night stay, HotelTravel.com didn't want to refund me. I'd even called and spoken to the hotel directly today on this matter. The hotel staff pretty much thinks that HotelTravel simply just don't want to refund the money. As the money is paid directly to HotelTravel, the hotel itself can't do much. Never ever going to book anything through this unreasonable travel website again. Should have read the reviews before my booking.

Do not use this site to book your travel – I booked a trip to Fiji using hoteltravel.com. tried to book AFTER selling the accommodation and that they were booked out. The hotel had informed Gullivers of this but had no response. It is now a WEEK LATER and despite following up twice a day with Hoteltravel.com I STILL have no outcome on whether I have accommodation or not. I rang the Hotel directly myself again today and they said they have found alternative accommodation which they are going to email directly to myself.

This site sells you a product that IS NOT AVAILABLE, then do NOTHING TO ASSIST with resolving the problem except tell you they are waiting on Gullivers travel. And now, using my OWN initiative and no help from them, I am waiting to hear where I am supposed to be staying as an alternative which is NOT what I selected and NOT what I paid for. This sucks in the biggest way. As far as I am concerned it is false advertising.

Were it not for my own paranoia, I would have been none the wiser about ANY of this. I could have turned up in Fiji thinking I was staying in one place and been shipped down the road to another resort of a lesser quality. I am utterly disgusted, hence my warning to others about this site.
