mechanism not locking – spray mechanism doesn't lock into place so I used a screw driver as a lever and a hammer to force it down that was for all 9 cans I had for garage and house. Not 1 can worked as advertised and house has still has cockroaches any other brand but this one Show details
Useless against sugar ants – Used them to bomb the house. Had an infestation of sugar ants. Whole army of them. I'm guessing the ants loved the aroma because not one, out of thousands, was dead.
Perfect for a price – Set off a can and roaches were running frantically everywhere with so many dead ones afterwards. Good product for a price. Show details
Did the opposite of work well – It multiplied the roaches! WTH?! I used the 3 bomb pack in a small 2bdr apartment, the worst area is the kitchen. Left it for 3 days, came back and the kitchen was worse than ever, dozens of the little bstards when there only ever used to be a few at most when I came home or woke up in the middle of the night. This product is worse than useless Show details
Familiar with the brand Hovex? No? Here's why – Went to Bunnings to purchase pest control bombs as we had German Cockroaches years ago and used bombs which eradicated them from our apartment for several years. Unfortunately Bunnings only hsd one brand, Hovex, available for sale. Bought and used product, and as per the instructions we expected to see dead cockroaches in the preceding days as… Read more
this took affect. Sadly no dead cockroaches, perhaps a very slight reduction in the number of cockroaches, but they're appearing to be unaffected and it's been over a week since we used this product. Won't be using this again.
Nice Product – This product worked great, we tried many products finally i did in a week it control cockroaches and small insects really it works great and thanks for giving a such a nice product, Totally recommend this Show details
Fantastic easy to use product that works! – This product for the price worked great, still finding the odd dead roach 3 months later. Just re did the house and was easier the second time round and managed to get out the house without breathing in any fumes. Very happy with the results from the first time and will continue to use the product. You don’t realis the pests you have in the house until you treat it. Show details
Problem solved – I live in an Unit ,it was so hard to control cockroaches, even we keep our place so nice and clean all the time.We tried many products but this one did it In 5 days. Totally recommend this
No effect – Sadly, these bombs did not work. I ultimately had to get a professional in to help. Once the nest was uncovered, it is feasible that the bombs would have been more effective if they were placed right next to the bugs, but I could not find them on my own.
Will never buy this product again! – I purchased five boxes of this product and none of the of the spray mechanisms on top of each would not clip down, except for two cans. I was left with 13 cans of product which I could not use and had to throw in the garbage - what a waste of time, effort, and money.
Cheap & nasty out rite winner – On the weekend that just passed I went to my local bunnings and purchased a pack of 3 Hovex insect bombs for $9.00 and a 350 g can if the same but it was the spray which was another $9.90. Did everything as per the instructions, and amazing the cockroach s were still alive and running around as if nothing happened. The next day I was in my local… Read more
Coles supermarket, I found myself looking at the Coles crawling insect spray, so I brought 1 can if spray for $3.30 & 1 bomb crawling insect its called. Cut along story short the cockroach community has but all been destroyed. Not a cockroach to be seen. So cheap and nasty as you can imagine what cheap chemicals make up the Coles branded concoction. Hovex Vs Coles, Coles us a winner hands down hovex doesn't even rate, let alone worthy if a mention. I will never buy any Hovex product again.
Cheap but hard to use – Insect bombs are a great way to prevent the annual Spring-time spider infestation. At $9 for a pack of three cans, they represent good value, particularly if your family members have a significant fear of spiders. I purchased three packs and let off four cans in the ceiling and five under the house. Normally I use a different brand, but these were… Read more
well priced and I may have been influenced by the box colours and writing font which seemed similar to the Mortein with which I grew up. But that's where the joy finished. Although the product seemed effective to use, the plastic spray mechanism on top of the can was very difficult to lock into place once it was pressed. Eventually, I decided to press the lever down and lock it in with a strip of scrap steel. You may find a wide blade screwdriver or butter knife equally effective. I'll be trying a different brand in three months time when a reapplication is necessary.
