Ease of Use

Good features and usability until poor design lets the whole package down – The camera is really good, except cover lense fell off. Regional reception is poor comp. to old Samsung. Overheats - battery only lasted a year, nightmare to replace! Sim and SD card cassettes are fiddly and difficult to access, usually resulting in components ending up on the floor. Poor build quality overall Whilst screen clarity is good the… Read more

hardware supporting it bends easily when dismantling to repair and rarely clips nicely back into place. I bought mine new and found two important screws missing inside when replacing the battery. Speaker developed a glitch where it would only work sometimes so you'd fumble to put on ext speaker when calls come in. Worst phone I've ever had.

Big fan – I really love this phone. Love the design of this one and how easy it is to customise with widgets, photos, themes, colours etc. Only downfall is the battery, could be a little better but I have almost had it for 2 years now so it is probably just getting old. Would recommend the HTC phones though :)  Show details

Nice phone – New features in the design include a scratch-resistant coating, machine drilled buttons and a sapphire glass lens on the rear camera. The power button is now on the side instead of the top. All in all the HTC One M9 is a very desirable smartphone when held in the hand – easily one of the most desirable. The HTC One M9 is a genuinely desirable… Read more

smartphone with the best design and build available in Android land, even with Samsung upping the ante. It's good to see the powerful Snapdragon 810 and more memory

Good until it stopped working – I have had this phone for a little bit over 2 years and it was fine all these while. Problem is recently the wifi can't seems to detect any network around which is really frustrating. I was hoping to hold on to it much longer than 2 years but it seems impossible at this rate.  Show details

Used to be great, now it's a brick – My HTC One M9 was great to begin with.. then after several months, it began to get slower and slower.. and a little "buggy".... All software was updated, and I even wiped my phone to start from factory fresh. It helped for a short while. I ended up switching to a an Iphone for 6 months.. however when I went to turn my HTC back on, it would go the… Read more

the start screen, but would never go past it..

I tried both soft and hard resets, to no avail.

Have tried to enter recovery mode, but each time, the phone says it has failed to enter recovery mode.

I'm pretty sure it's now a brick.

HTC use to make good phones – Had handset replaced 4 times due to issues. Gave up with the last phone I recieved and bought a new phone, and not a HTC. The camera on the last one had been displaced from new, and had issues focusing. The phone was returned unfixed, I don't know how, as in the shop it had the same issue that it went in with.  Show details

HTC achieved perfection – Since launch of HTC m7, HTC has made each new model better. I used the M8 and switched to HTC M9, worked flawlessly for over a year and then I tried OnePlus with similar configuration for change but HTC seemed faster after installing apps and games, camera was absolutely fantastic for day pictures and outdoors.  Show details

Decent phone – Decent phone. Sleek design with the same all metal finish as the previous models, M7 and M8. Camera leaves much to be wanted though, despite it's offering of 4k video, picture quality is subpar with poor low light capabilities and slow focusing. IR blaster isn't very useful. Comes with a bunch of bloatware that can't be uninstalled without rooting the device.  Show details

Another nice HTC – HTC have been a reliable brand, this is my third. Nice big screen and comfortable shape, feels solid with the metal case. Easy to use with some nice features like the automatic night mode, just set a time schedule and the HTC automatically goes into night mode. Awesome sound Love it!  Show details

Best phone I have ever owned – I got my HTC one on a 2 year contract with Optus 2 years ago now. I got it to replace the earlier HTC one M7 model, which I was also highly impressed with. The 9 model looks and feels the same as the original 7, but works better in every way because of it's more powerful quadcore processors. After two years of ownership, it looks as good as the… Read more

day I bought it (I have kept it in a case) The alloy cases on these are sublime, giving a really premium look and feel to the phone.

I have found it to be ultra stable with it's excellent Android OS and HTC are great at providing OTA updates to the system. This ensures that it is always up to date with the latest Android development unlike so many other cheaper brands who give you one Android release from the factory and then abandon you forever more.

In fact, I am so impressed with this phone I am not going to get an upgrade when my contract runs out. After 2 years use it looks, feels and runs as good as new.

Great alternative to Samsung Galaxy S6 – I've been very happy with my HTC One M9 for the past 12 months. I have recently updated the operating system to Android M with no issues whatsoever. Beautifully designed and easy to use. Such a nice change from all the Samsung Galaxy phones that most people use when thinking of Android...  Show details

Built to last! – After years of replacing my phones annually, because they were falling apart, lagging badly even after a master reset, or had cracked screens, I have finally found a phone to withstand everything I throw at it. It is not waterproof, not made of bulletproof glass, yet somehow my HTC One M9 has made it through wet weather, spills and drops,… Read more

excessive heat and cold, plus even a few big falls onto hard surfaces

The metal body looks classy and has barely a noticeable mark from the mistreatment it has received.

So far we're going strong at almost 2 years. I think we'll last another decade if I look after him

I Love my HTC One M9, would love to try the M10 – This phone is by far better than my Samsung Galaxy S5 lte, the features are perfect for almost anything. The modes for home, work and out mean you can have work apps ready to go when you walk in the door, bandsfree and maps when driving then social networks and games etc at home either by location settings or manually. The camera is great and the… Read more

A beautiful phone! – I love the design of this phone, after having a Nokia for many, many years, it was difficult to change it, but this HTC One M9 melt my heart! Well, very exited at the beginning and slowly slowly disappointed. My first HTC One M9 phone had a dead pixel and I had to change it, after this my excitement gone, my photos are blurred, and despite of all… Read more

setting I have done still the photos are not good quality. It is getting very quick hot, after using internet or playing a game, when using maps or sport tracker lose of internet connection. I can't wait to change it. The phone it is still beautiful but I think there are too many issue with it.

Great, robust phone – Audio is one of the bigger plusses for this phone. Something you don't necessarily think you need, but is very handy for when you don't have a speaker around or you're watching a YouTube video outside. Battery life is also better than usual (2840 mAh). I've had it for around 2 years, dropped it several times and never got close to breaking the… Read more

screen (I would've smashed 3 iPhones in that period).

Camera is supposedly one of the downsides, but it takes excellent pictures except in low lighting which is pretty common. UI is excellent and the ability to personalize is substantial.

Great though some of the built in apps let it down and the long update waits – HTC needs to work on removing there built in apps because the android version of many are better. They also need to work on how fast they release updates to the OS. the build quality is great and the sense interface is still great. Camera (both) give great quality pics, and the expandable memory is a big help.  Show details

Great work phone – I am on my phone pretty much 24/7 for work and this phone has been a champion for the last 12 months i have owned it. The operating system is super stable, the phone is lightning quick and its build quality and battery life make it a joy to use. When they first came out many reviews said that there were not much difference to the m8 (which i also own) and i can tell you there is enough to mak ethis a worthwhile phone.

It's reliable – I haven't broken the screen even though I’ve dropped plenty of times without a protective case. It's easy to use but would drop the highlights screen if I could. Just a waste of space and data. Also I wish the battery life lasted a bit longer but guess that's the same with any phone these days.

Really liking this phone – This is my second HTC - I also had the M7 and I stuck with them because of that. I have to say I still like it. A lot of my friends have iphones and seem to have nothing but trouble, especially with smashed screens. I like the camera a lot as I take a lot profile pictures and the screen is a really good size without the phone being too bulky. Overall its a great phone.

Touch pad – What's with the key pad? Just purchased phone outright found the keypad too sensitive. I'm slightly touching the letters when texting and letters keep popping up after I've stopped touching it. And scrolling down messages is a nightmare. Terrible! Had have known this wouldn't have purchased it. Otherwise the phone isn't too bad.

Better than Samsung and iPhone – This phone is better than all the others in my opinion. Although I don't require a camera with all the bells and whistles or loads of storage or memory space, this phone is my phone of choice after using both iPhone and Samsung which both lacked simple functions like message times sent and problems saving photos from my own facebook. I love this phone for ease of use and what it will allow me to do.

Excellent phone – I love this phone. It looks nice and I've now had it for 6 months and I love it. HTC have made some excellent upgrades form the M8. The dual camera is excellent. Its just a shame my photos aren't as vibrant in bright light such at the beach. Maybe I need to play with the settings a bit more. It's price is comparable to other models so I am very… Read more

happy. The larger screen size than lots of other phones is also a bonus. I find it really easy to play games on. However, when I use it to listen to music when exercising, the port is on the wrong side which means the cord crosses over your arm which can be annoying. Also with the volume button on the right hand side, I often find myself pushing it as I talk which I've learnt not to grab the phone so tightly. Small picks though for an awesome phone.

Can't fault this phone – My htc m9 does it all incredibly well. Have had no issues at all and it looks amazing too. Also helps to keep me organised, which is no small task. I have nothing but praise for this phone and love taking lots of photos with it too. Simply the best!!!!

Great easy to use phone – I recently bought this phone and could not be happier. It is easy to personalise and the home/work/out home pages are great. There are lots of options to make it unique. The peel smart remote is easy to use and the tv guide makes it better than other phones I looked at.

Research of a product may not always turn out to be accurate – Researched the phone, read all the reviews, purchased one and the nightmare began. Overheats excessively everytime internet is used and moderate heat when making a call ,forget multimedia. Got no support from the company nor the provider. Excuse given was because of bugs in the os and upgrade will fix it. Big joke. Can't wait to get rid of it.
