Hua-Wave goodbye to your money – Hardly ever used, never abused, spent most of it's time sitting at home, never dropped or handled roughly. Lasted 2 years and 1 month then stopped sending or receiving calls, plus charger stopped charging. Only 2 year warranty and I lost the receipt anyway so no recourse. Rubbish, won't be buying Huawei again.  Show details

Huawei Y3 Full Specifications – Huawei just a few days ago made the production of Y3 in the market and Y3 is the new addition of device to this family. Huawei Y3 is yet another excellent, outstanding mobile in terms of specs. & making. There is less difference b/w the recently released Huawei Y3 and the other handsets of the same series. However, in this phone you'll tweak with… Read more

Good little phone – I don't use this anymore but it was excellent while I did - it was my second phone and I used it phoe holidays, relatives staying, and times that I didn't want to risk my good phone. My one was unlocked and I could put any sim in it which was very handy. Good screen, nice and bright but small so a bit fiddly to type one. overall - good  Show details

Very happy with my Huawei mobile phone – I like the simplicity of this model, when you get above 60 years of age we are not as savvy as younger users. The size of the screen is good for me, the resolution and picture quality is good, the battery lasts at least three days, I've accidently dropped this phone several times without incident (luckily for me).  Show details

Great value for money – This phone is great for the price. The smart phone is fast easy and responsive. I would definitely recommend it for someone who wants a great phone without the big price. It is very lightweight and compact. It’s also great that the battery can be removed by simply opening the back. Great phone.  Show details

Been Good Getting Dated – This has put in valiant service as a back up phone. It has been dropped countless times, had liquids spilled on t and been fallen on and it still works perfectly. I was only ever meant as a back up phone to save the S7 from a hard life and its done a great job. I do notice that it struggles a bit more loading pages these days but I think sites are… Read more

more content rich and this is no powerhouse, so its probably getting to the end of its useful days. Calls and texts work fine. Battery life has always been good.

Handy Little Spare Phone – I got this a s a holiday phone but I kind of like it. It's small and compact and that means I can easily have it in the jeans pocket whereas my S7 is nowhere near as comfortable. Browsing is a little squished on the smaller screen but it works just fine and is nice and bright and call quality and reception is excellent.  Show details

This is perfect – It's a smart phone, and very useful for everything that a customer needs in a smart phone. as It helps you to connect with others though apps such as facebook, whatsapp and snapchat. Due to this reason it's useful. So I recommend the customers to buy this phone as, it's low in price and affordable.  Show details

Not really up to scratch – I bought one cheap at Harvey Norman on a half price clearance - locked to optus for about $50... OK its a budget phone and seemed decent enough at first but I soon learned it has a lot of preloaded useless software and bloatware that takes up 3/4 of the internal memory so this really limited the amount of apps and things this phone would otherwise… Read more

be capable of doing sadly, regardless of using an external SD (which I was)

In the end it was no better than the $30 ZTE that I was attempting to upgrade and although the screen, camera and build quality were a little better the internals, drivers and operating system were worse. That being said the screen is quite good and it takes decent pictures it also feels fairly solid compared to some other budget models.

I have since gotten a mid range phone from eBay costing around $250 and honestly I just won't bother with budget smartphones in future. The apps ,games, memory and features available now are absolutely mind blowing and totally worth it, they are simply not possible on such devices as this.

Great Phone – I bought this phone for my youngest son who started High School this. I bought the phone a few months ago. I must say its a pretty good phone. This phone is easy to use and pretty quick. I would say if you are after a Phone which is not an iPhone. This phone is a cheaper and I think a better phone for younger people and the elderly.  Show details

Great Cheap Basic Phone – Bought this as a holiday phone and was more than surprised at the quality for the money. It was smooth and fluid to use and with a good screen. Amazing for $79! I don't use many apps so other may have more to say there but as a phone, basic camera and radio streamer it is great. I still use it as a WiFi hotspot nearly every week on the train.… Read more

It's only a basic phone but possibly getting a little out of date now as some apps cannot be loaded onto it and it runs an older version of Android (lollipop).

For the money and use I have had, I am happy

Good for the Price – Good basic smartphone which falls short with some of its features. Speakers are fairly low fidelity as well the camera resolution is low and does not take great night shots. If you are wanting a basic phone and don't care much about sound clarity and photos then price wise you can't go past this one.  Show details

Pretty Happy, altho' on Virgin Mobile poor reception – I had an old 2G phone so had to upgrade in July this year. I chose the cheapest non-contract phone I could buy locally., It worked as stated right out of the box. Happy with display, photos a bit dark, but easy to use and for price offers a lot. Can move stuff to PC by using charger/usb cord and once you insert a Micro SD for extra storgae, it makes a pretty good basic phone with a lot for the price.  Show details

Screen quality isn't good – Its an ok phone buuuuuuuuttttttttt....... the screen got cracked within 2months of purchase!!!!!!. Now I have a cracked screen for a new phone which would cost me the price of the phone if I decided to get the screen replaced!!!! Was disappointed 'cos I have a Samsung phone that is 7years old, still working, NO cracked screen, has even fallen into the toilet but recovered after 2days in a rice bag!!!!  Show details

Did not last 6 months – This is not a good quality mobile phone. Charger port is very dodgy. I only had mine for less than 6 months when the charger port broke and I could no longer charge it. The Huawei company refused to fix it or give me a replacement phone even though the phone was still under warranty. Would not buy another of these.  Show details

Phone has 2 Many Apps, Can't Uninstall Them, Can Only Disable! – Bought it 2 try out 1st, as my S/Sung Core Prime played up after only 16MThs old, The Huawei IS NOT USER FRIENDLY & find it hard 2 Navigate thru all those Unwanted Apps. Disable them, but its still remain in the Phone so it does EAT Up a lot of the Battery. Screen has 20 APPS, which is 2 many, & Can't HIDE them 2 get a Simple Screen. Won't be… Read more

Excellent emergency phone – I have this phone as a backup in case other phones failed. It isn't fast enough for modern kids but it's cheap and everything functions as it is intended. The camera is usable in well lighted situations. If you're intending on vid calling make sure the place is well lit. The screen is actually pretty decent for a phone at this price and… Read more

the battery life is not bad, it will last a full day without problem. My old iphone drains it's battery far quicker in comparison.

Used it for two weeks.

Economic but not rubbish – iPhone died and I needed a replacement at short notice for my bring by our own phone plan. Huawei gave me all the features I use at a very reasonable price. Maybe not all the features of iPhone or Samsung but all the features needed by a user with basic requirements. Will probably buy a second one for a second user with a current pays account  Show details

OK performance, for a cheap phone – This is quite a reliable device for a smartphone. Coming with only 8 gig of storage impacts upon the speed and the processing of the operating system and can also limit the papps that you use due to storage. It runs a standard Android operating system and can be rooted like any other device however I do recommend purchasing additional storage like an external SD card  Show details

Absolute rubbish – This mobile is easily the worst that I have used. Very unresponsive, slow and loaded with bloatware... The screen constantly freezes regardless of which web browser in use. Would not recommended even for the price. I have used other brands in the same price range which perform much much better.  Show details

Had to buy one so chose this – I had an old 2G phone so had to upgrade last year. I chose the cheapest non-contract phone I could buy in store locally. I am not a tech inclined person so for me a phone just needs to make calls and messages. It does this, of course, and more. Not being used to a touch phone I had difficulty using it initially, and still accidentally make things… Read more

happen. You can lock it with various release options but that's tiresome. My partner set it up for me and once charged away we went. I find the battery goes down slowly, then bang all of a sudden the last 50% is used. Photos are ok (but really I have a camera for that anyway) but I cannot sent them to our PC, only to my partners phone via bluetooth, then from there to PC. Instructions are available for download on the net which helps you out. I find I am fat fingered on this keyboard so lots of typos. Otherwise it does the job, and I am not someone who will ever be testing it's limits.

Only thing that was good is the price! – Small memory - option for micro SD though So many pre-installed apps that I just don't use or want - they just use up a lot of space Photos aren't very clear - some of the photos are excellent but most aren't very clear Unable to copy photos to send to family Goes flat quickly - seem to have to recharge almost every day Keyboard is small and… Read more

unforgiving

Above are the key points to my unhappy usage of the Huawei Y3 II.

However, at least I can phone family, send text messages, use the internet (although when using 'What's App' to speak & see family in Queensland the sound is really poor - is it the app or the phone?? ) and those are the vital things that I need - although, vital to me, a camera that is clearer and photos that are easy to share would be an even better asset.

Easy to set up and use – Apart from not having much charge on it to start with. This is a great little phone to set up and get going. It's a decent 4.5 inch phone with a great display. It can be set up with your specified pin number to lock the screen and it takes you right through set up. A charger and plug in ear phones are supplied in the box. The Huawei Y II has some good apps on it already but there are so many more available on the Google play store.  Show details

Quite good for the price – My son needed a new phone due to Optus shutting down their 2G network. I researched inexpensive phones and decided on the Huawei Y3 II 4G, which I found on eBay for only $108 less a $20 discount. Even I thought a smartphone for $88 would not be that great, but was pleasantly surprised. It arrived the next day and worked straight out of the box.… Read more

It even has a replaceable battery, something you don't often get these days even with high end phones.

The 8gb if storage (3.72gb available to the user) is a bit basic but adding a micro SD card fixes that issue well. The 5mp camera takes good photos; it even has a flash for indoors.

All in all quite an impressive smartphone for a very small price. I was also able to find a case that fits like a glove so my son has a useful device and is very happy with it.

I hope this company continues to provide good cheap smartphones with all the features you expect on a device a lot more expensive.
