pretty good charge. The cameras not too shabby for the price either. It is also very user friendly.

However there are 2 outdated unsupported apps preinstalled that will ruin the phone if used or updated. Touchpal update contains adware and built in browser is outdated and unsupported by android. Both caused problems and had to be disabled.

Go for the newer model. Much cleaner.

A neat one! – Personally I would say this is a neat smartphone. Cameras are good enough to take some nice pictures. It is also good for playing music as well. Their limitations are the memory and battery. The phone could become hot if playing games for a long time or not to response sometimes (due to errors I think). If you need a basic smartphone for calling, music and taking some photos, this would be a good one with low price!  Show details

Clear screen and good for backup/toy – I bought it from Coles when Vodafone has cashback offer. Basically I got it for free. I was surprised that the screen was clear, phone was fast enough for browsing internet, reading news, play music and video. Excellent toy for kids and I don't worry about if it cracks or lose. OK while it lasted – My daughter got one for Christmas and it was the best phone she could do heaps with it, but it won't even charge up now or turn on. It's only 6 months old. Great for simple use – I was an Apple only user and after a somewhat frustrating run with their expensive phones I got the courage to go buy this Huawei for $84. Sure it has very small built in memory but other than that, It's totally worth the little money it costs. Battery is average, one charge a day does me. 3 The last main problem is the 2 finger zoom technique doesn't work on most home pages, which is annoying because the small print is usually microscopic.

But value for money..unbeatable. For are $100 it's easier to buy another one if you break or lose it.

Brilliant! – Best first or beginner'so smart phone. And this is a SMART phone. Android is easy to learn and operate. Especially compared with Windows. Great phone – For its price it is a fantastic phone. Underrated for its capabilities and most people are put off by the cheap price. I have dropped this phone face first onto concrete and on its edge. No cracked screen and still works. Mine is locked to Optus on the 4G network and I have had no issues with it. Works well. So good I bought another one for my wife – Worth much more than I had to pay. This one is locked to Telstra and gets a tick for country use. It is 4GX and also works on the 3G network. checking up on emails. It doesn't have a great internal memory so expanding with a SD card is recommended.

Also to note: most/many apps can't be moved to the SD card, so when you have a few apps installed there'll be no space for more. But music & photos will definitely go on the card.

Only a 4.5" screen - which is perfectly adequate for most users.

I recharge about every 4 or 5 days.

One caveat I have found (aside from the lack of space for apps) is when headphones are plugged in the phone taken about 1 to 2 minutes to think about whats going on, then all OK after that.

For the $45 paid, there are absolutely no complaints here.

Absolutely brilliant phone – This phone is great value for money, simple and easy to use and has heaps of the features the more expensive phones do. The battery lasts forever which is great when working making business calls and sending emails and it has fantastic rural coverage. I love this phone so much I bought my Mum one too. I stated the crack would not be an issue or be in for repair if the phone was not faulty.

The Huawei Y5 is perfect once you get the hang of it – I have one and it has taken me 3 months to get to know how to get around it and change the ring tones I still have a lot to learn but you cannot loose it in your bag, and I am very happy with it charges up quickly and it's life is 5-6 days before recharging,the Face is as big or small as you want and the photo resolution is exceptionally clear, once you have used a Huawei you won't want any other .  Show details

temporary replacement for a Samsung with a broken screen, it is doing its job well. Heck, it cost less than a screen replacement and its brand new!

So the screen is lower res than other phones and a little irritating that you have to find the right viewing angle, but look at that price again!

There's a quad core processer in here, sure not a lightning fast one but with the gig of RAM it's not too bad at all. Usual day to day apps will multitask fine.

Other reviewers have complained about silly things. So you don't like the sensitivity of the screen? Change it! Don't like the keyboard? Change it! Don't like the messages app it comes with? . . You get the point..

Just remember that this is an android device and as such it is exceptionally easy and free to set it up how you like.

Having said that, I quite like the skin that HUAWEI have slapped on here. It's almost stock lolipop but a little polished.

8gb expandable is useable, 4g capable, all the cameras and sensors you need.

If you're expecting it to be fabulous then you are dreaming. But it's a lot better than it should be for seventy bucks.

Worst phone I ever had! – From the beginning, I found this phone annoying, to say the least. It if far too touch sensitive, if that's possible. Too complicated, system bugs and missing functions – Problems from the start. It is hard to find and manage settings. From day 2 I have had a message notification that I simply can't get rid of. There seems to be a lack of useful options in several other apps.

Battery life is very bad - less than a day.

The screen is a comfortable size.

In general, poor compared to my Samsung phone, even though the latter cost $30 less and gad a smaller screen.

rapidly but doesn't shut down.reboot like my wife's phone. Huwaei's customer "service" has been the worst I have ever encountered in relation to this issue and the repairs they supposedly did to my wife's phone were non-existent. I could not recommend this model phone to anyone at any price. It is rubbish. Be aware of Huawei's contempt for its customers otherwise you will get badly burned by them.

Surprising features make Y560 a great phone – Great phone, great size thats pocket friendly, lightweight without $$$ price. Huawei phones just get better with each new model.
