Dissatisfied – I love the camera. But.. As a quick last minute and unexpected purchase as my phone died and I needed one asap for work.. I'm sadly disappointed now in the brand. My phone has done nothing but freeze when using contacts, messages, calendar, calculator and of course the internet connection. Made the use and reliability disappointing. It's really turned me off the brand now.  Show details

Great for the money – Huawie Y6 Elite, Model LYO-L02. Bought it in 2017 at Woolworths on special for $100. I was impressed by how far Huawei had come since my old huawei 3G super slow no support modem. This phone has all the features. The camera works great. It's just got all the features and no glitches whatsoever. The memory is a bit smallish, but I plugged a 32GB… Read more

micro SD card into it and that's plenty for a phone.

Mind you, I don't live on my phone, and I don't have any games on it. I prefer pc games.

Only one possible thing is the battery is starting to show signs of getting tired after a year.

Horrible – The phone is good in some ways yes, but for me the front and back camera are extremely bad. The photos are not HD and come out all blurry. If you're a teenager like me who loves photos, this is certainly not the phone you should get. The good thing I found is storage is good.  Show details

Excellent fast budget phone – Couldnt be happier with the Huawei y6 elite. Fast and reliable are two of its best attributes. Its an entry level phone with a great front and back camera, both with flash. Long lasting battery. Fast charge. I havnt found a fault with this phone. Plenty of storage on board and a very easy storage cleaner app by Huawei. Mine is locked to vodaphone… Read more

DOES NOT SUPPORT OTG – Not happy as you cannot transfer any music or photos from any other device as, the phone won't let you plug in anything but the battery charger!! No other device can be used on this phone. SORRY I BOUGHT IT!!!!!!!!!! I have had it checked by computer expert and we have tried everything. I will try and put my SD card into another phone that supports OTG and transfer my stuff to it in that phone then put it back into my phone. HOPE IT WORKS  Show details

Good budget phone with some large flaws – The 4GB internal storage is an improvement from my last Huawei phone, the Y550 (which had only 2GB), but still isn't enough for anything more than casual use. The phone has an average battery life, but this is quickly drained playing most games (which are often too big to comfortably fit into onboard storage). The camera is okay, but I wouldn't… Read more

recommend this phone for anyone who wants to use anything like Snapchat or Instagram regularly. Snapchat in particular runs slowly and with low image quality on this phone. Even apps that should be easy on the phone, like Spotify, barely function, running extremely slowly.

This phone's saving grace is its price point, being available for under $50 at times. For a $50 phone, it's great, but it's sorely lacking in many areas. I would only recommend it for a light user, only looking to use a few messaging apps, web browsing, and some video streaming.

Best phone I have ever had – I am rather happy with the phone, it works excellently and was a significant upgrade from the previous one. The 1gb of RAM is perfect for most tasks, even mobile gaming and Instant Messaging (im) services. Found it on Ebay for a reasonable price! The call audio is clear and the connection to cell towers and wifi are perfect. It comes pre-installed… Read more

with plenty of tools to help you with your phone and all are useful. Although not all can be uninstalled.

Overall I am ecstatic about it and couldn't be happier!

Functionality not far off 'top-of-the-line' phones – To me, this comes very close to 'top-of-the-line' phones like the iPhones etc. The picture quality of the screen is perhaps just a smidge lower, not that you'd notice unless you were constantly switching between phones. The RAM etc. is a little slower too. However, it has all the functionality of other high end phones, I haven't noticed anything… Read more

that isn't there/ missing.

I've dropped it onto plenty of hard surfaces and without any damage as of yet. The only physical buttons are the volume and power buttons; the rest are touch screen buttons. This is great, as you avoid wearing down physical buttons to the point where they cease working (something I experienced on other phones I've owned). Have not had an issue accessing any apps, tethering/ hot-spotting, post-update bugs etc. etc. Nothing but good things to say really.

Not sure of the price difference between this and Samsungs and iPhones are, but I'm sure this would have to be super competitive. If you want the best absolute best, okay give this a skip, but this is a great $$ compromise.

Easy to use phone – I bought this phone as it was on special and loved it instantly. Easy to use and a reasonable price. The layout is simple and the touch is extremely responsive. I can get all my emails and everything in one place and delivered quickly. I love the ability to play games on it and the camera quality makes for some amazing photos  Show details
