PATHETIC. After a robbery we were made to feel like the criminals, and it took two and a half months to get a payout. This company is only there to look after its own interests, not the clients. The fees went up over a $1000 in 2 years. Good Riddens to huddle FOR EVER. Show details

Disgusting assessor . Push for your rights – I was digusted at the treatment I got from the assessor. She did not know her job. Kept giving me wrong information , and was trying to get out of paying me . Told me I was not covered. Then she tried to pay me less than I was I was owed. Then I pushed for the ombudsman and adifferent assessor. Then it got fixed. She should be sacked from her job. She caused me undue stress and anguish I should sue her.! Show details

Worst Insurer in Australia – The worst contents insurance company in Australia. The company groups items into a "collection" and then minimize their payout of the "collection" to $1000. How thoroughly corrupt is this company. So if you have multiple items of jewellery stolen, they will only payout a maximum of $1000 on the entire collection Avoid this company! Show details

Morally bankrupt – What a disgusting, morally corrupt company. We were at the receiving end of an agravated burglary, whereby jewellery, personal items (including gifts), and last remainging heirlooms were stolen and all Huddle can worry about is whether or not we have the receipt. Huddle have different insurance companies handling our claims Inc Open and IVAA all of which are hopeless at their jobs, no communication, no phone calls, won’t accept quotes. Huddle only deal with building companies from cities who only employ immigrants and even though we wanted to use local builders but they paid us on their builders quote; all while Huddle handled our claim with the most incompetence. Huddle have strung payments out over 6 months and DO NOT do replacement items, what you nominate your jewellery to be worth is exactly what they pay you; not replacements jewellery costs, we cannot replace anything we lost in total. Huddle won’t pay anything you think you are covered for. Then Huddle says we will pay you $9,172.80 but they only paid $7,972.80 guess someone pocketed the other $1,200.00. If you treasure your property, jewellery or any contents you have then do not insure with Huddle. My policy is basically worthless because l can’t replace anything l lost!

Poor response time.Difficult to contact – Can't contact by phone. Booked a call back phone call for 2 days later. Took time of work waiting for the 2 hour window. No call came. No way to contact other than complaint email. Often took days and sometimes over a week to get responses to my questions via email. Dragged out my claim and delayed my repairs for weeks. Show details

Don't expect a good claim result – I hope you never have to make a building claim with this company. Storm damage in July 2022 but my mums claim was rejected due to faulty workmanship. We had reports saying that the roof was structurally sound when we brought the property prior to the event. Didn't matter. They use their own dodgy building accessors who do anything needed to get the claim rejected. Avoid at all costs. Show details

A very good claims experience – I needed to claim due to a stolen personal item. I found the process to be quite straightforward and the people I spoke to were very helpful. The only reason this doesn't get the extra star is because I had to do follow up between Huddle & the vendor who was replacing the item that was claimed. Otherwise it was a pretty good experience.
