Uses a full tank of oil to half a tank of fuel. Cuts out sometimes and is hard to start warm. Off switch is easy to accidently bump and turn off while working. Cheap and has lasted me two seasons of fire wooding without a break down
Well made small saw – Great little saw for small jobs, surprised by how versatile this saw is.Nice and light smooth easy to start, just keep a check on bar oil as it can run out before petrol does apart from that a great small saw. Show details · 1
Amazing little saw! – Awesome little saw, picked it up for $249 and a bottle of husky 2 stroke oil which bumped the warranty up to 5 years domestic. Having had a Stihl ms170 which is also a great homeowner saw I decided to try the Husky and boy was I impressed. Easy to start from the get go,and cuts like butter,it's very comfortable and has way better vibration… Read more
dampening over the Stihl and a touch more power too,it has a way better air filter system than the ms170,the only let down with the Stihl ms 170 is the bad air filter system which lets fine particles through to carby no matter what. It revs so smooth, and is nice all round. If you use this for what it is intended for you wont have any dramas (not cutting 25" logs and then complaining it's crap) get a bigger saw Look after it with good fresh fuel,I run 40:1 (bit richer) and keep chain sharp and you'll have no issues Very happy
Not Happy with Chain saw or Warranty and Dealer service :( – Purchased a Mark 120 Husquarna Chain saw 3 months ago. Had several issues with it. 1. Hard to start once it's hot. I read other reviews saying the same thing AFTER I bought it. 2. In trying to start it when it doesn't want to. the start pull chain was worn out or damage so it couldn't be used. The Husquarna dealer in Cannonvale said no warranty… Read more
because I am tall and must be pulling it too much out?! (Didn't realise you had to be a midget to use it and get warranty honoured.) 3. Uses 2 tanks of oil for 1 tank of petrol. Should be the other way around. 4. Chain pops out a few times after using for just a few minutes. All these problems I read had been talked about by other buyers. Had issues with the same brand mower as well and its always YOUR fault not the products. Will never buy from this brand or this dealer again. All this overheat should have been a quick $60 worth of warranty fix. Not happy at all.
Poor instructions and performance is average – I’d have been struggling without the help of YouTube as the instruction book and set up guide are absolutely useless. A quality picture guide with a set-up procedure would have helped. The fuel to oil ratio is confusing as is the chain tension process. Once set-up it works okay but not what I expected, lesson leant I think.. Show details
Husqvarna Fan not so happy – I'm a long time Husky owner who has never had any issues previously & required a small saw for general use. I purchased the Husqvarna 120 instead of the Stihl MS 170 as the Husky has more grunt and better vibration dampening. It was purchased from the local Dealer on special for $249 plus a spare chain & files. A pretty good deal if it worked… Read more
well. When it runs well the saw is good. The initial tuning was very poor. The saw lacked power, kept flooding and was extremely hard to restart after it warmed up. After a re-tune from the Dealer the saw has performed ok for the first half of a tank of fuel before it sucks air & stops. If the tank is kept full, the saw runs ok. I did check the pickup wasn't caught up. So its back to the dealer for now. Pretty poor. Note: The dealer has been been good so far in promptly attending the issues.
Pros Power when it runs Vibration dampening is good
