Great car! – I have the 28kw Ioniq had it for 2 years now and done approx 34k, the car is super quiet and very smooth. Nice and simple with basic functions and basic interior, but that is perfect for me, I do not want to spend double for something with a little more bells and whistles that does exactly the same thing, get you from point a to point b. One issue I did have and replaced under warranty was the actuator (the car would not charge) so this was replaced. This is a common problem with this model. But besides that the car is wonderful to drive.
Purchased in for $37,400.

Excellent vehicle – Have had it for almost 2 years. Driving has been quite restricted due to Covid lockdowns but have managed to get out of the city a few times. The range estimates are accurate. It has a potential range around town of about 380km, this drops to about 290 on the highway. It has plenty of smooth quiet power. With so few moving parts, servicing is simple and cheap. Using regenerative braking means there is no wear on the brake pads (and you get to reuse the energy recovered during decelleration). There are plenty of free public chargers around or you can charge conveniently at home. This car is perfect I cannot imagine driving old ICE cars (I have to drive my wife's sometimes - a horrible experience) – Daily, family, shopping, to and from work (70km each way) Serviced? What a joke. Virtually needs no servicing. Once per year around $100 There is nothing to go wrong not like my wife's ICE car.

Pure driving pleasure and no exhaust fumes – This all electric car is so easy to drive, handles well and has plenty of power, it easily accelerates faster and smoother than other combustion cars. Lots of room in the hatch at the back for large items. I charge off solar panels mainly, just topping up after a drive. However sometimes I need to use grid power which at .27c per kW cost me $2.97 per 100km. Fully charged the car will take me 230km with aircon on and hard driving, but as I don't do that all the time it takes me more like 250km. There is a range icon on the dash and the onboard sat nav has all the charging stations nearby if you get low. I haven't so far needed to use them but as I'm wanting to travel longer trips to the country soon I will be buying a fast charger cable soon (about $400 but I have easily saved 10 times that on petrol). Servicing every 12 months costs $160 and is cheaper to maintain than a combustion engine with radiator, exhaust, spark plugs etc. It has rear cameras, music and all sorts of stuff like that. Absolutely love it!

And now at almost 5 years, still very happy. No noticeable battery degradation at 50,000km. Very few rivals for efficiency. It's a pity that it is no longer manufactured but a second hand one could be an excellent buy.
