ILVE 90cm Natural Gas Cooktop ILGP96X

Disappointed – Bought Ilve 90cm gas cooktop August '21 but there are problems with the burners: wok burner is underpowered & rear left burner is very high-powered! Front righthand burner has lost power.

Major disappointment - don't make the same mistake – I have had this model for just on 12 months now. There is a severe design flaw - if you are using several of the burners at the same time the metal knobs get super-heated and burn you. We have learned the hard way and unfortunately we have had guests who also burned themselves on the knobs. Also the wok burner is somewhat under powered.

Significant Safety Issue – Recently we purchased an ILVE 900mm wide gas cook top ILG96X for our new home built by a reputed builder. We have used it now for over 3 months. There is a design fault that is a significant safety issue. The control knobs are too close to the burners, the middle knob is too close to the biggest burner and it heats up so much while the burner is used. You can’t touch the knob to control the burner as it gets so hot. If there are toddlers in the house this is a serious safety hazard. When we took it up with the manufacture, the surprising answer was it meets " Australian Standards “. Not the best way to respond to a safety issue. Disappointed with the attitude of the manufacture. Appears this manufacturer is have a tendency to hide behind “Australian Standards “ than having an interest how to improve their products.
