the shop, I did mention the first buyer did purchase it from the shop and what is the difference service person did tell me let me ask and I'll get back to you and that was over two weeks ago, firstly I'm surprise purchasing $2400 cooktop is to feel I'm dealing with popular brand and their service should be good and Profesional, Second I'm a Builder and do supply product on all my jobs this time I have to make sure I will not fall for big brand anymore because service is not good and simply brushing customers off without any consideration ,

Absolutely terrible quality for an imported Italian cooktoop – There have been so many things I've been disappointed about with this Ilve cooktop I don't know where to start. How wrong we were. In the first week of owning this cooktop we realised the ignition system was a bit dangerous it would not ignite on some of the burners straight away meaning that a lot of gas would escape before the ignition would work. Causing a big blow out of flame when it did finally work. In the second year the gold knobs started to peel and look very bad. When I enquired about having them replaced I learnt that each knob would cost $40. Considering six knobs needed to be replace it was a very costly business. To top things off with this cooktop it is now starting to bubble and rust. I will never again buy an Ilve product and hope that this review gets to someone before they buy. I also have the Ilve Nostlagie oven which is very disappointing too. To narrow and never that good at baking.

Would I buy an Ilve gas cook top again? – Owning a H39CSS has convinced me that the next cooktop I buy will have an automatic relight function, the flame constantly goes out when it is on low. wok burner is excellent. Impossible to simmer, flame too hot and the gas will go out if you turn it too low. Knobs in strange sequence!

Ask the right questions – Unfortunately I assumed that all Ilve cooktops would have a safety flame failure system, in fact i thought you would not be able to sell a gas appliance with out it fitted. asking the right questions and disappointed with the brand. It looks nice (When bran new) No one is interested in the flame going out all the time. Am getting gas people out again.

excellent easy to use – we looked at every different make and type on the market,we wanted gas because it heats is instant,the one we purchased has an electric oven because it has numerous settings ,there is nothing left to guess ,the control nobs are easy to see and adjust,it is made in ITALY where all good stoves come from it has a triple glassed oven door which is good around children we wouldn't go for anything else top quality too many oven settings

Excellent – It's really good. The gas never goes out unexpectedly and controls are very accurate from lowest to highest settings. Sadly the controle knob markers wore off after using mild abrasive cleaner. Like a lot of gas cooktops, the push button ignition doesnt always light, mainly the smallest and largest burner. Quality finish, easy to clean, gas controls superb. Control knob markers wore off, doesnt always light.
