Are build on hold because inka cannot get indemnity insurance – Are house build is now on hold without any information on timeline to start, because they can not get indemnity insurance on the build, what the hell is going on in this company, are they about to go bust, how many people are in this situation with them

A lovely home – We were apprehensive about building with Inka after reading some of the reviews so we did a search on Building Authority webpage which showed no defective work which was really important to us and put us at ease. Our contact with staff was positive and we were always kept updated. The plans and paperwork were completed without any problems and was always provided in the timeframe we were given.

The building process was delayed because of hold ups with the developer registering the land which wasn’t Inka’s fault but they still kept us updated. The start of building was delayed due to the heavy rain in December/January however work started as soon as the site dried out.

The construction of the house went well with no major dramas. A couple of minor issues with window and door locations (some of them our fault) were fixed straight away after meeting with the Supervisor.

We have been in our lovely home now for a few months and the finished product is great. We have had a number of friends (including a Builder) comment on the quality of the finish and the overall design of the house which is a credit to Inka for helping us get the design we wanted . We would recommend Inka Good price, good finished product Developer delays

A nightmare!!!! – This company doesn't even deserve 1 star. The staff are rude and swear at you if you ask questions. The building process is extremely slow and not up to standard. It took a year to build a 3 bed house. They are reluctant to fix anything and you are required to continually follow up. It has been over 2 years since we moved in and are still fighting for the structural damage to be fixed which now is extreme. We have reported them to the BSA, our State Member, local councillors and the Mayor of Ipswich. We have a house that is unsellable and unliveable. We are not alone. All the Inka homes in our street are experiencing structural problems and have also reported them. Do not build with Inka Homes.....they are dodgy and you will regret it for the rest of your life!

Terrible – When we chose to purchase a house and land package with Inka as an investment property, we thought the process would be straight forward given we were making absolutely no variations to the plan and Inka had supposedly already built dozens of the same design. Wow, were we in for a shock! Our land has been ready to build on for over 3 months but due to Inka's lack of organisation, our house plans still have not been submitted for Council approval. We have been waiting to finalise our colour selection with Inka for over a month but Inka keeps cancelling our appointments and we have had to continually chase up Inka simply to reschedule the appointments. We keep getting told to phone them another day to try and make an appointment.

Inka's admin staff are unable to make appointments for you to see their own consultants, they are unable to send you the very plans that they insist you sign off on and they tell you to attend colour selection appointments where they won't write down your selctions!

Having built before, we are utterly disgusted at Inka's lack of organisation and incompetence at completing the simplest things. We can only wait in trepidation to see how horrifying their actual construction process will be - if construction will in fact begin one day! Affordable houses Poor customer service, extremely slow to start building process, unprofessional staff and head office.
