"Inner Bath" (I.B.) advertises a "no surprises" policy providing transparent efficient and cost effective alternative to bath tub repairs. Its supposed to be streamlined, no demolition method to avoid unexpected costs or delays. In our case, its been opposite to most of the advertising. Unknown to me the firm cut out and disposed of the bath tub they quoted to reline for about $2200, leaving only the liner which wobbles on top of the bricks on the first photo as it has no support from the missing original bathtub. The liner is advertised to make the bathtub about 30mm smaller "overall' and that "most people don't notice". In our case the narrowness is about 4 or more times what is advertised causing the user to have to lie sideways rather than on the back as in the original bath. I.B. also advertises that it has a range of liners. but in our case it claims that this too small a liner is the largest in their range! I.B. advertises it has a waste adaptor patented so a plumber cost is a saving. In our case, it cost a unexpected about $350 for their plumber to including reposition the waste pipe for the liner. So we are left without a substantial original bathtub only a liner that "wobbles". The firm is inconsistent about correcting the faulty installation and will not admit that a liner is just that. Without anything underneath to line, the firm still wants full payment if they correct the "wobble" (how specifically they would not say) ignoring correspondence and photos that they disposed of the very object to line (without my knowledge and consent!). Their alternative I.B offer is to have the liner returned. From the photos and this narrative you can make your own conclusions. Seems there is no alternative but to consider consumer law options regarding what appears misleading advertising vs delivery of product and service, and damage. Stressful, disappointing and costly.

Seems liner was too deep so needed to cut out the under bath to fit it in. It defeats the function of a liner which is to reinforce the structure underneath. A “mould” as advertised should have been supplied so the liner fits snuggly into the shape of the under bath. Product and supply failure.
