Good but hard work – I was very pleased to have read this page after applying this product. The new deck went really dark and I was worried I’d trashed it. Thankfully I read here to follow up with the ultra prep. It’s now looking good, ready for some oil. Seems a lot of work to go through though, and what I thought would take a weekend has really blown out.

Average – Used on external deck as per instructions to remove Intergrain Ultradeck. Removed around 60% of the existing coat. Does not perform as stated . An expensive product and very disappointing. Also contacted Intergrain for advice and received no reply. Reverted to good old fashioned sanding and deck looks great!
Nice to hear from someone this time around. Was previously coated with aquadeck which had begun to flake and peel. It was not a solid coating at all. Thanks
Not to worry, Bob - we're here to help. Would you mind giving us a call to discuss? Thanks in advance.

Hi Bon, Thanks for your review. Sorry you're not happy with PowerPrep. What condition was the deck in prior to using PowerPrep? As stated on the label, PowerPrep is not designed to remove a sound coatings. It is designed to bleed tannins from new, bare timber and remove old, peeling and flaking coatings.
To remove a sound coating, we recommend using Intergrain Timber Stripper. Please call us on 1800 011 006 if you'd like to discuss further, we'll ask a few more questions and see if we can help get your project back on track.
